Stop complaining on the Decay!

One person said the Devs "lied to us". Offically, no. Thunderheart is pushing the issue to get the 1% decay removed entirely, so it's not a lie.

So, stop complaining already. If you can't handle it, why don't you just pack up and leave. The Decay system benifits the Armoursmiths and Tailors alike. That's why the Devs placed it. Armoursmiths and Tailors were losing business because of no decay. Hell, I would be losing business too if I were an Armoursmith.

So be thankful that you guys are making the cash you're getting now.

I think even with PvE death armorsmiths and tailors will have plenty of business,,, and how about you really fix the system and only make stuff decay that we are wearing,,, why would a shirt in my backpack decay if i take a shot in the chest,,,, This is totally ruining the PvP experiance for alot of people,,,,

So they were loosing a little business, they were still making mounds of cash. Oh wait, they werent really loosing business in the first place, there were simply less people needing armor at the time because they had already bought a set, when this set finally decays they're going to have to purchase a new one. Armorsmithswerent lacking cash in any way, in fact they were one of the richest classes in the game, and now they definately are. Many armorsmiths make millions upon millions of credits a week. I've been playing this game for months and I've never had more than 200k credits in my bank account.

Be thankful I'm making the cash I am now? I'm pissed about making cash in this game. I dont like doing hunting missions over and over, I'd rather be participating in the GCW. You see all this does is give the armorsmiths more money, the people who collectresources for these armorsmiths think, "wow they have a lot of money, I should charge more for my resources". In turn the armorsmith starts charging more for their armor, so they can keep making money. In end the combat class suffers. In end the value of a credit is lowered, while the source of the credit remains the same. Since I first joined this game resources on bazaars have gone from 3k for 1000 units of a given resources, to 3k for 500 or 300 of a given resource.

The devs solution was to make a money sink, decay upon death, this would cause people to spend money more often to pay for equipment. Wait the only people that die constantly are combatants. Artisans are relatively safe, and die probably 1/50 of the time a combatant does. Therefor the only people that need new equipment are combatants. I think you see where this is going. Artisans become richer, combatants are forced to do missions over and over for money.

There will still be a 1% decay penalty in pvp death but you will not have to re-insure after that death.

This is correct and clearer I hope.

No, this is NOT clearer. When u say : Players will no longer have to insure their items after each death in PVP. The reason is because there is no way to tell the difference between a "PvP Death" and a "PvE Death".

Is that mean that you are lying to us everytime you say something?

If you can determine PvP deaths to keep insurance on stuff, u CAN know if it was a PvP or PvE death.

Today, the more i read Dev post, the more i want to go away.

First off, you make me buy holocrons at insane price and now you remove it.
Then, u say me i can *finally* get involved in PvP without fearing the 1% decay and now you go backward and keep the actual BAD system.
And to finish the bad update, you tell me i got to go imperial if i want to stay alive in this world.

WHERE IS THE FUN ?

The mechanic used to maintain insurance uses a different mechanic

That is the lamer excuse i ever read from someone talking about coding. As a coder I can assure you that even if the insurance uses a different mechanic u can STILL change a flag on the other mechanic. Arent all the mechanics involved in the game communicate each other ?

Please, do NOT insult our intelligence by thinking we have no clue of what is coding !

Thank !

Stop lying. The decay has done nothing good for the Tailoring or Armor business whatsoever. Both Tailors and Armorsmiths were already doingthe same (or better)business even before any the decay rules were implemented.

Decay only did ONE thing..... and ONLY ONE THING:it pissed off the majority of players and discouraged them from PvP.

The biggest obstacle to that is if nothing decays then Tailors and Weaponsmiths don't get repeat business...and we need to love them too.

Really? Well that's interesting seeing as clothing is still wearable at 0 con and weapons don't decay at all from death, its only clothing and armor.

Lunatic Fringer Back Again:

And now... Another transmission from our sponsor:

All joking aside... I remember the devs saying something about the Insurance terminals were a sure thing since day one... but the reason they were in game but not functional was some sort of programming problem they were working on. That's all fine and good... except most of us already knew by the time they were added... they wouldn't do anything but irritate most of us. First off, they don't function well as a money sink at all. Just makes us lose expensive armor and clothes were just more opt *not* to go out and buy a second time... which actually takes away from the experience for the Tailors and Armorsmiths... etc, etc. Or at least that's how I'm feeling about it... how about the rest of you?

And... I deffinately feel the contradiction from the devs a lot... 'Oh, we can track which professions you've mastered toward the force slot... but we can't do it for x thing or y thing.' You either can track progress... or you can't. Just say the friggin words. That's all we're asking. This comes back to this *new* system. They either can track wither or not a death is PvP or PvE... or they can't. Who is willng to bet this is going to be a most expensive bug waiting to happen in game? If you ask the Lunatic... might as well make it EverQuest in Space since that's what it's turning into anyway. Give us a body to go to so we can pick up our *non-deteriorated items* since that's what we want anyway and call it done.

Seriously, how many of you feel this way with me? If it's the small things... then this is one of the *Titanic* small things that needs to be completely taken out of game and redone before being added like it was. Although... now we're stuck with however it ends up working for Publish 6. I've got my Customer Ticket ready... everyone else?

Sincerely,

The Lunatic Fringer
