I wish these friggin smugglers would just get off it.
The imperials are in charge. Thus imperials are not the target of the crackdown.
Now lowly imperials need to be wary and guess what a lowly imperial smuggler would benefit over a lowly imperial droid engineer.
Now if your a reb. your in trouble unless you are a smuggler and the better the smuggler the better the odds of beating the scan (cant make much more sense than that).
Oh and if you group with a smuggler then you get a benefit (loadsa money for you there).
So stop your whining you whiney gits.

Money has nothing to do with this. Smugglers are upset because not that contraband is in the game; we finally have skills to allow for smuggling. Check my title. I'm a smuggler. My profession is supposed to be able smuggling contraband from point A to point B.
I spent 121 SP to reach master smuggler. And I am able to evade scans with a 95% success rate. But what’s this? High ranking Covert and Overt imperials are able to evade these scans too. They are able "smuggle" contraband from point A to point B. And all they have to do is spend a couple thousand FP to do it.
Its not about money. Its about a skill (moving illegal items) which should be unique to a specific class (smuggler) being given out as a factional perk.
Creatures now spawn as non agro and then switch to agro. Baby voritors were staying non agro even though the parents are agro.
Angerian Fishak now has a delay of 20-30 minutes to reuse after the effects have worn off.
Pet pathing is screwed up.....again. Half the time now they will stand inside you instead of behind you(very annoying with larger pets) If you take 1 or 2 steps to move away from them they just follow and stand inside you again.
Somehow a Piket Plains Walker managed to dizzy me 1 min after it died. There were no other live creatures within 128m.
When using the TKA /meditate your character sits down, stands up, then kneels. When you try to stand up your character will switch to sitting position and then stand up.
Rubber-Banding is now worse than ever. The last few days on Dantooine I would just about always teleport up to 80m ahead of my bike when I dismounted. Now I can teleport ahead or behind my bike. The game seems to know enough to leave my bike there but it can't figure out that I should be next to my bike.
I do not claim to know why the dev's decided to lower the damage on DoT's by 80% in some cases but I *DO* know that this will have serious reprocussions throughout the game.
Every class had its "power move" be it swordsman w/ MH1 and 2 or Rifleman w/ MH1 and 2 and now those classes are going to be FORCED into groups in order to play the way they have become accustomed to.
A few months back, the dev's looked at what was being solo'ed and said, "holy crap, we've got to up the HAM of these creatures, lone wolves are soloing pikets!!!!" The playerbase found ways to kill them regardless. Now, the DoT nerf has hit and I can guarantee that even if you can still solo a piket type mob, it will take you 3 times as long at any level except master.
IMO this is SOE's way of trying to FORCE us into grouping w/ other players. *NEWSFLASH* NOT ALL OF US WANT TO RELY ON FINDING A GROUP EVERY NIGHT TO KILL THINGS!
The sad thing is that now it will take 3 times as long to achieve master status in any combat-related profession and one of the DRIVING FORCES of this game upon creation was to make it "NOT like EverQuest in space"
Where we are now is the exact same place that EQ was after everyone hit level 50. We've got nothing to do except persue Jedi AND just making mastery in one class has become exponentially more difficult (unless of course you play the game the way SOE demands you play it, in groups).
I don't know why I honestly expected anything different then what is playing out now... It has been SOE's track record since they entered the MMOG business and as long as the subscription rates stay within the projected range, why bother innovating...

Um, hello...if stormtroopers have the ability to tell if someone with contraband is a rebel, why can't they tell that the person with no contraband is a rebel?
On a more positive note, I love the new examine feature - As a Bio-engineer I often have a back pack full of creature DNA and in the past it was extremely painfull trying to stocktake what DNA I had from what creatures. With the examine feature the headache has been taken away. WELL DONE!! My heart felt thanks!
