Thread: Most annoying text bugs?
Here's something I bet almost every player thinks is annoying:
NPC trainers only show up on the map by their name.
There is no way of knowing what discipline they teach.
Instead of showing their names, it should say what profession they represent.
Example:
You want to look for a Carbineer trainer.
You open up the CTRL V Planetary map and go to the right side and click on Trainers.
Then you click on Marksman.
There are a whole slew of them on the planet, but there is no mention of any specialization anywhere.
So you are stuck with several fairly unappealing options:
- Ask other players if they know where the Carbineer trainer is. That works fine if there is someone around who knows, but if not, you have to try other means.
- Run around to every Marksman trainer on the planet, hoping one of them will be for Carbineers. This option is daunting and a total waste of time.
- Alt Tab out of the game and go to the forums and look in the Carbineer forum. This option is the second best to being able to find someone who knows in the game. The coords are right there stickied to the top of the Carbineer forum. However, many profession forums do not have stickies like that. So you are out of luck then.
- Play the game long enough to know that you can find trainers for all ranged specialties in three general areas: Behind the Cantinas in Mos Eisley on Tatooine and Tyrena on Corellia, and sort of behind the starport in Kerenon Naboo. This is the option I chose. I went to the trainer in Tyrena, knowing where they'd be. But I'd be at a complete loss if I wanted to get Chef training or something.
So the most convenient solution would be to:
Put the profession a trainer teaches on the map and in the map search.
Now, I don't know if the way itis nowis a bug or not.
Changing it would much appreciated, though.
"/set" Changes you bio info to enter information
This conflicts with the Musician/Dancer buff command "/setperform"
I can't tell you how many Master Musician/Dancer I have inspected to see a bio that say "perform" or "perform <name>" I frequently override mine, and it is quite annoying since I have a longer bio.
Replace "was" with "were".
