If I have to go camp spawns just to make a lightsaber, you can bet I'm not going to be staying long. This has been brought up in the Jedi forums. Out of all the in-concept threads that were made to gather our input on the Jedi revamp, this is the best that you could come up with?


Excuse me if this comes off as flaming, or ranting, but this is the end result of my frustration with this profession.

Ewoks - 100+ 0d, 1c
Lokian Pirates 100+ 0d, 1c

Janta - 100+ 0d, 0c

Various Wild Force Weilders on Dantooine - none 0d, 0c

Am averaging about 1 crystal every 25 NS Ranger/Stalkers. This is WITH jedi luck, and stats range from 5/5 to 43/43 with -3 to -9 force cost. All crystals looted so far have been of "good" condiation

~100 Jinda = 1 color crystal

~150 Korga = 1 color crystal

~100 Lok Pirates = nada

~75 Tuskens = nada


Damage Crystal? Whats a damage crystal? These exist? I thought they were a myth or a legend or something?


Devs For The Record: Having to kill mobs for BASIC saber components is sooooo not a good idea.


**If this is the case, and isn't going to change, PLEASE make the drop rate for the damage crystals 2-4x the rate for color ones. This only makes sense since we need (up to) 4 damage crystals for every 1 color. **

essentially, with the current drop rate and the current crystal decay rate, by the time you loot a new crystal you'll need to use it to replace the one you used to kill all the mobs.


Crystal decay is horrible. Crystal drops are horrible.


Just increase crystal drops and revert sabers to the way they used to be. At least that way we had a chance to repair them. Crystals decay worse than sabers did in the old system and we have no chance to repair them at all. Wonderful solution.

I suggest that you would make a NPC near a shrine or something thatwas like that one Cries of Alddrean quest, this would be easier to implement because you have done it before. That one quest thatif u go to the guild hall, u can get a mission to go to a base and kill whatever is inside there and loot the plant to make the dead-eye. I suggest something similar on these lines.


For example, go to the NPC and talk to him he will give u a waypoint. You go to the waypoint and if u are want to be lightside you have help with a complex puzzle, if u wanna be darkside kill everyone there, and this adds up to lightside or darkside points. After you have completed the quest, either using the darkside kill method, or the lightside puzzle method, you get 10 crystals (5 damage, 5 color) regardless of which method you chose.


This system would be more quest involvement, andget tou make decisions of which side you would want to align to. Believe me, this is something that we would want, more story aligned and less camping.


In the movies a jedi should never be without a lightsaber, this is how it should be. I don't recall light or dark jedis killing ewoks for crystals, or tuskens or anything for that matter..............
