Thread: Publish 9 Feedback: Bounty Hunter Droids going to 0,0,0
Server : Chilastra
Planet : All
Location : Upon arrival to planet specified by Arakyd Probe Droid you will receive a 0,0 waypoint for the location of your mark
Rumor : One rumor is that this problem occurs when the mark being tracked is inside a building. This makes sense since there is another bug in the game in which, if you are located in a building and use the /waypoint command, you will make a waypoint for 0,0 and not for your actual planetary waypoint.
The second rumor is that the droids are also tracking the jedi's main character instead of the Jedi. On one such occasion, the BH was in chat with the Jedi. The BH received a waypoint in Theed near the cantina. The jedi responded that he had not been there for a VERY long time, but that his main character had logged off there.
If the two rumors are true, then the result is that any time a jedi logs his main off inside a building (which is probably at least 90% of the time) then all droids searching for him/her will return both the wrong planet and a waypoint of 0,0.
although what i have been getting, is the same WP all day. They will log off, so i drop the bounty. Later on i see them on the terminals again, get their bounty. track them and same WP as before.
another thing i've been getting. Is that their WP gets stuck at a shuttle port.

Since, your working on BH droids - why don't you fix the unlimited use bug and make some DEs happy
Depending on which server you are on, it'd make either DE's happy or BH's unhappy.

It is my own personal belief (as a few of the more astute posters have observed) that the 0,0,0 waypoint bug was generally a problem that arose from Jedi that were AFK macroing XP inside their houses or other buildings. I've noticed many times that when attempting to make waypoints inside of buildings, etc. that you tend to get a waypoint of 0,0 or very close to that, apparently due to the fact that each house has it's own coordinate system on top of the world coordinate system.
With the new jedi system, for the most part I believe this would be gone. However, a good way to test this would be to get your QA guys to set this situation up:
1.)Have a jedi set up in a house or PA hall or other building with a few people around.
2.)Have this jedi then use force powers to accrue visability.
3.)Then have a BH pull a mission for that Jedi off the terminals and track him.
One of two things will happen:
a.) The BH will be able to track the Jedi to the location of the house, or
b.) The BH will be led to the "relative" waypoint of the jedi (i.e. the jedi's waypoint "in the house")
*by the jedi's waypoint in the house i mean that if the jedi were to create a waypoint in the house, it would make a waypoint with coordinates close to 0,0,0. Verify to see if the coordinates of the waypoint the jedi created (his relative waypoint in the house) are the same as the waypoint the BH has been lead to.
Yes, that is a good possibility with the wp. Happens if you try and make a waypoint in a house as well. Zaps very close to 0,0.

Would it be possible that we could get more info back from the droids. Such as to assist us with this or even for reference the droids would say, waypoint blah [Inside Structure] or waypoint blah [Outdoors]
It isn't a whole lot more info but it is useful fortracking the problem and for BH to have some idea what he is getting into.
Planet: endor
Location (you are at) (x,y): 2481 -468
tracked jedi to 3 differenct locations. Droids updated quickly and correctly as the jedi player moved around.
Just one major hangup I was unable to attack the jedi at all. No tef on him.
The jedi never logged out during the chase and we played tag during the entire hunt.
addendum:
the fourth waypoint never updated and stayed there. The game is over for now. I tried logging in and out myself.
wp for fourth update is 2481 -468 on endor

last addendum for this post I swear.
He moved off endor and I tracked him to coronet and from there to Theed.
Aside from the lack of a tef, droids are working for me.
