First step. Ck to see if you can even equip it (or even get one), let alone if it will protect you. I think this is a great idea.

We think we have most of the conversion bugs worked out. Accordingly, we are going to roll TC2 back again to stress the system and fix those that had borked templates.
We are upping the starter kits for Jedi to include more resources and give them more spending money. If you are missing resources, make sure you have room in your inventory and then travel to a few different planets. If those resources exist on that planet, they will be added to your inventory.
Please remember that the system is being changed daily based on your feedback. Test alot, and have fun!
Thanks,

I have to give credit where credit is due- the amount of work in the past 2 days from the dev team is awesome!
Now if only server reboots were faster... ![]()
I'm still very concerned with the overall skill diversification/balance in the revamp. I think a lot (most?) of us are... my own personal #1 major concern with this revamp is that the new jedi are not very jedi like 'maxed out' with 2.5 skill trees trained. There needs to be some way to allow jedi to get some a number of lowers level skills from all 5 trees, then specializein at least one. Please do what you can, since I think this is essential to a successful Jedi revamp. I think there are two main ways to address this- either reverse the skill point costs in the current trees, or add another 'initiate' tree that gives a well rounding of basic jedi skills, then diversify into specialties.
Either of these would achieve the desired effect, maybe there are other solutions. Which one gives the best 'balance' the Dev teams wants is up to you guys ![]()
Some reasons for this: A Padawan in the current system should be able to get entry level skills in many of the trees- basic saber skills, KD, Mindblast, Force run 1, basic heals.
A Knight in the current system should be able to master maybe one tree, and get maybe 8 boxes of 1 and 2 level skills from each of the other 4.
A Fully trained Knight, IMO, should be able to master one tree, then take a number of up to lvl 3 boxes in each of the other 4 trees to create a personal, well rounded, but still specialized Jedi. Since the master boxes are actually the super powerful ones, it's these where the most skills points could/should lie. 8 pts for a Jedi mastery box is a 'big deal' but then again powers such as Total Heal Self , Choke and the best Lightsaber/Defence mods should be very costly. Minor powers such as force run, KD, heal self of BF, etc... really are so minor they should be a cost of 2 skill points. EVERY jedi 'should' have these basic powers as they represent what every player 'expects' out of jedi, have seen in the comics , movies and games, but none are game breaking. I think a basic meditate skill needs to be available, and the effect can be increased. Jedi are known to meditate- a LOT. Seeing a jedi meditating in the woods , recovering their force, just seems immersive and natural to me. Basic effect could be 20% increase in regen with a 20% increase in effect per skill up a force powers line, with a final +20% granted at master (along with other mods/powers). EACH box should really mean something to a Jedi.
Each of the powers needs balance. Ifully agree that jedi defences and jedi shields helps nullify choke/weaken, but the force cost of weaken and choke are far too high if thats the case. They will be useful against 'non-jedi' but the skill point cost to gain these skills will result in major sacrifices in other skill trees. Choke/Weaken are effectively useless in PvE, so are PvP skills for those with weak resists against Force.
Completing the healing tree will allow for very powerful support character in PvP and PvE, but again itshould mean a sacrifice in other specialties.
I believe the 'root' problem with the current skill trees lies in the skill point cost.
Hmm, sorry- just ranting a little ![]()

cool i hope force experiment works now cuase this was what i wanted to do. trying to decide what build i want now. i know i need tkm to kill huurtons for cash and we need some moun so going to go up smuggler spice tree for that. and if i have enough might try master ws or master artisian for experiment points incase the force experiments doesn't work.
thans guys for the roll back. been getting bored with tkm and master pikeman with lightsaber.
also will we be able to choose another jedi prof like ls force wielder also this time? cuase getting 80k for novice force wielder sucks. lol
