Excellent list of info Shug. I'm glad to see a number of issues I have raised on these boards in the far and near past are still being discussed by you guys. I hope for some good resolutions to those issues based on careful thought by the Dev team. I might even forgive you for leadingthe smallgroup I was withto our deaths facing a pack of steroid-laden warthogs with nothing but the clothes on our backs and newbie CDEFs during beta.

Q: Are you planning to introduce more locations (especially planets) either as patches or separate expantions? Just to make an example I (and many of my friends) would love to be able to vist Hoth or space locations like stations and Star Destroyers.

A: We're already introducing new "space-based" locations, such as the Corellian Corvette. We do plan to add new planets in thefuture, probably through expansions. However, at the moment, our focus is on filling out the current planets with new Adventure Areas and other content.
I hope this isn't meant too literally... I think of key locations in the movies (such as the endless sands of Tatooine, empty rolling hills of Naboo, the icy wastes of Hoth) and this sense of space is marvellous. I think that large, very empty bits of planet are still important... it's hardly the 'canon' Tatooine if you stumble across a POI every 200m or so (and player cities even more frequently!). I'm all for far larger surface areas with the same number of objects... especially now that we can get around on our speederbikes, etc.
Before the advent of mounts or vehicles, I walked from Bestine to Mos Espa (I had no elite skills, just pistols III in marksman!) - whata challenge. Nowadays, I'd have been able to do a bunch of 2k missions, buy a speederbike and get there in 5 minutes at no risk to myself (mobs just don't spawn quickly enough to catch me as I speed by!).
I'd hate to think of planets getting more cluttered than they already are.
Bring back the forbidding frontier feel!

Q: Campers: like all the other MMORPGs, in SWG people camper in rooms where there is a more frequent respawn, or the most powerful monster. With the Corellian this problem has been fixed (good work!); I'd just want to know if it will be possible to have multiple instance even in dungeons like Warren and Geonosias

A: The Corvette is "instanced" so your group is up there alone - you won't have to worry about other groups camping. In addition, all of the missions to the Corvette involve a time limit

Great set of info Shug....any way you can re-address this question again. You kind of answered it from a vette perspective, but I think the intent of the question was whether future and/or current adventure areas will also be instanced or whether we'll continue to have to fight through dungeons only to run into empty loot containers.

I still think anyone who is afk looting should havea battle droid, or krayt spawn near em and take em out. Make em earn that loot they are hoarding.

Your Astromech stats say that players do NOT enjoy being Rebels or Imperials and fighting one another. 0.71% of players are overt. Less than one percent enjoy being Rebels or Imperials and fighting one another. I'll repeat that. Less than one percent.
===========================================================================================

Stats are open to interpretation. Most read the .71% as people want to be overt but there are no benefits yet becasue the GCW has no purpose. You can destroy dozens of imperial bases but the rebels gain nothing.

So it is not like people dont want to be overt is there is nothing to gain from it.

All I want to know about space expansion is whether being a pilot will use the same 250XP pool or will there be a separate XP pool for space-related professions.

IIRC, the one character per server restriction came from LucasArts senior management (the bottom line minders,) and is out of the control of the Devteam...

Actually, I believe it was a database issue.

Character information for SWG is exponentially larger than other games due to the level of character customization among other things.

Someone asked about player bounties, in addition to Jedi bounties...(for some reason I couldn't copy it to my post)

I think it would be great if players could post bounties on a terminal, similar to the bazaar:

*A player would place a bounty (minimum of around 50,000 credits) on the terminal. This would cost the bounty (ie 50,000 cr) plus a 10% fee (5,000) for a total minimum of 55,000 cr.A high minimum would prevent everyone from going around placing bounties on just anyone.

*The player who makes the mission cannot accept it themselves. (This is to prevent them from placing the bounty & then going and killing the target themselves) Any second character (ie a Jedi) on the same account could not accept it either.

* Players would make a deposit to accept the mission (Multiple players could accept it at the same time) The deposit would be refunded with the bounty to the player who gets the kill. This should prevent one person from monopolizing a single bounty, or making deals with other players to get the money back. (With 5 people chasing on person, it would be hard to "guarantee" any on person will get it)

* To prevent griefing, no player who qualifies for the "new player" free cloning/insurance can be put on the terminals or take missions from the terminals unless they have mastered a profession (Novice, Hybrid, Elite). If you still have new player exemption and have mastered any profession, you are qualified to be put on the terminal, post bounties, and take missions.

Anyway, I have wanted this for awhile. One of my characters is an Artisan who was killed with an accidental & unknown TEF, so I have a grudge and would gladly pay 200,000 crto put out a hit on him. I couldnt beat him in a fight (I have no fighting skills). I t would be nice to receive a picture of their slaughtered corpse via email, but one saying "Bob has slaughtered James for you" would be nice too. I'd appreciate any feedback on this & any ideas on where else I could post it.

Thanks.
