The tangle is FINE, nothing wrong with it. It can be enhanced with a high velocity feed mech, or a gorax bone shard. In case you weren't listening I was a pistoleer until just recently and competed just fine, even again riflemen, and even against the defence stackers. Because of the super high HAM costs of most rifles we basically can't wear armor, and definitely not a helm. You really need to take a look at your tactics if you honestly believe pistoleers need a stun pistol that has the stats of the new Geonesion sonic blaster just to compete. If rifleman gets nerfed and that pistol stays in circulation I am pretty sure you'll see a ton of BH Pistols 4/Rogue/pistoleers running around again.
A tangle with a typical hvfm will end up being around 120 max dmg unsliced and most likely at best end up around 150 max dmg sliced at around 3.3 to 3.5 speed. SO no it doesnt even come CLOSE to a krayted jawa ion rifle which can reach dmg of around 500. And most likely be fired faster than a pistoleer can fire his enhanced tangle pistol, see we as pistoleers have to have a pistol under 2.0 speed to speed cap our specials while a rifleman can speed cap his with a rifle under 4.0 speed especially if he has skilltapes and is also a master marksman. Think I'm wrong, guess what the devs plan to increase pistoleer speed and lower rifleman speed to equal it out because right now it ISN'T competitive.
Bring on the BH/pistoleers, as a master smuggler pistoleer i never had any trouble at ALL taking them down.
I dont whine about how many tissues it takes to krayt a dx2, its a useless pistol in pvp, why would i even want to waste that kind of money on a pistol that is of NO use to me in pvp? However i know alot of rifleman who do want and USE a krayted jawa ion rifle in pvp and they are NOT hard to get!
As for ham for rifleman and cant wear a helmet? ROFL man YOU are the STUPID one here. i can get my focus up to 3000 with a helmet on using buffs, food, drink, and spice with a helmet ON! and my willpower at over 2k to boot! Meaning you would use almost no ham at ALL! Seems you really dont know much about how pvp is done at all in SWG.
Every single pistoleer knows that without a good stun dmg pistol we cannot compete against rifleman, PERIOD! But if you want to continue this argument please come to the pistoleer forums and be made to look like a fool.
Tangles suck, and should be ignored.

I've never seen a gorax shard, you speak as though they drop off gnorts.
Also, for full disclosure, I have beenflying a Master Weaponsmith title well for the last 6 months. If these things were easy to obtain, don't you think someone would have approached me? I am searchable.
As for the hvfm making a tangle anything more than the garbage it is, I think your mistaken. It doesn't help the least bit, but maybe add 20pts to max damage. It still doesn't justify its slowness and weak AP. Instead of fixing it, they introduced some crappy drop schematics with limited usages.
On another note. I'd much rather put a gorax, would I find it, into a Striker, and completely obsolete a complete race of alien: Wookie.
