Im glad this is having a positive impact with everyone.
Just as a general question, can you describe what about these changes you like? Not specific stuff - - more like "game play" impressions....
Well Thunderheart,
My biggest game play impression is the fact a novice ch will finally feel they have gained something more than when they were a non-ch. +2 pet levels, doesnt sound like much to most, but when I became a novice ch and well gained 3 commands only. It didn't make much difference back then because I wanted to bea CH just to enjoy that kind of life. I didn't take it for power, just for having a friend out there when I traveled around. I enjoyed the lone players life back then. Now, well when I became a Master CH, I always posted a request to raise novice ch level.
I really can't say to much else, I have always love beinga MCH, its that second skill I had trouble deciding on heh. But, since I went with a class considered to be support, I decided to balance that with another support class, Doctor. I am not a power player so has taken me some time, I am now 4/4/3/1, I could be 4/4/4/1, but I dont want to drop novice marksman yet which would give me 16 total skill points to use for a 2 skill point skill gain. I will wait till I slowly craft up the crafting tree to box 2. Then at least it will cost 4 for box 2 and 2 for box 4.
All I can say is thank you again, for taking the time to discuss with us a big issue we have had for the longest time.
After reading the many rants, comments, flames, thank you's ect., so I will say nothing about the changes except:
My main concern about the changes...the Arachne Webmaster, Frenzied Graul, Kliknik Queen, King Merek Harvestor, Queen Merek Harvestor and several other creatures were not to have children any more that CH's could tame because they were too powerful. I don't expect any of them to come back..but what about these CL60 creatures? Will they also fit into the Catagory of "Pets that were too Powerful so we are pulling them from having babies"? Will the above named creatures be changed to CL60 to compensate? Cause if they are not, why not bring them back (without nerfing?) since CL60 HAS to be better than the CL50 Webmaster or Frenzied, or the royal creatures (Kings/Queens).
Ty TH and the Devs for thier hard work...manageing a game of this multitude is difficult, and hard to keep everyone happy. I just hope that TH, Holo, Q-3PO or a Dev reads this cause I really would like to know...

These changes are looking better, but still will actually cause more MCHs not less creatures.
When you can solve this puzzle you have the answer:
I am a 1 0 2 1 rifleman. I need to be able to solo without a pet.
Solve that. You've done it. Anything less.... you still have pet wars. Just more higher level CH.
HAHA! basicly sums up the whole "Oh look sir, there are several creatures approching!" and the whole dang "This game is less 'starwarzy' and alot more like **edit**!" thing... GOTTA CATCH THEM ALL! sorry I had to say that...but seriously I love CH and I think they did a good job making CH fun and exciting. Should a Ch be able to take on 15 creatures at once with his 3 Sludge Panthers? Sure! Should a Pikeman be able to do the same by himself. No! Should 4 Pikeman be able to take on the same by themselves? I think that is the question we need to ask ourselves!
I'm Tired of the changes making it harder to play. I have quit The galaxies because the game is no longer fun to play. when I started playing in august I was going to master swordsman, master scout, and go into some crafting and medic. after I got about 2/2/2/2 in the sword my non ch pets wouldn't stand a chance. so i was forced into ch because I needed stronger pets. as a crafter survival was too difficult so I gave up artisan to master ch because lets face it thhe creatures are too strong. 8000 HAM is way too high. as a melee with 800 HAM there isn't a comparision. if you want players to not have pets why don't you let us increase our HAM as we level in a fighting profession that would sovle the problem. I can barely complete the missions i'm leveled for. or lower creature HAM to make them undesireable to have. I don't think the new change to C H will help at all. you are only helping the power gamer. i have a baby in real life and I work so I can't be with a group because I'm on at different times and when I am on I may have to leave any moment. so Solo is the way I like to play or the way I wind up because the group leaves me behind. the change in Ch isn't my complaint the change in the non ch is. with level 15 it was enough to help crafters get to their Harvesters and it still be a challenge at 10 they won't stand a chance. we need crafters or the game will fall. no items and all fighters mean no one to make the stuff to use. I was going to open a second account and I even just got the collectors edition for my birthday because I loved the game so much but , then I read the change for the non CH level going to be 10 and I just couldn't take it anymore. if you want me back make the player stronger nobody wants to waste skill points so if you made it so we don't need pets to solo then you will see less creatures in the game. you are punishing the crafters and helping the fighters with thiss change. you still don't fix the bugs in the game. you just keep changing things around and that causes more bugs. your game was a success because the way it was now it sucks. If I want to have creatures I should be able to I don't that you think it is creature wars I'm having fun. so go ahead and make your changes i'm taking my money else where.
It's truly depressing that we Droid Engys can not get the mental focus and response time that the CH skill does from the Developers.

Aren't these changes due to the fact you want to stop dabblers in the ch profession? Ummm then I don't think you did it =( You see I have talked with numerous people about the new changes and what they will be doing with their cg (cowardly gurrecks) These are nch people who had no intentions of dabbling in ch at all. And they are now going to dabble. So you didn't stop it or even get it to a decent lvl. You are encouraging people to dabble instead of the opposite.
Now you introduced mounts into the game. WOOOT GREAT! Ummm woops did you forget to tell all the people who don't read the forums about the up and coming changes? I don't know how many people went and bought Kaadu's from a ch. I know of a lot of people spending all their credits on a nch mount. Ummm but the problem is once these changes go live they can't ride their mount. Why make some of these mounts usable to the nch when you are going to take it away.
rare pets/babies sounds cool....the smarter mobs thing sketches me out. if mobs are coming at me regardless of pets attacking them than will that defeat the purpose? since pets crap out once im dead anyways.
will bugs be fixed aswell? creatures ungrouping and disappearing, getting stuck on city boundries. running away for no good reason, just sitting there in attack posture but not moving no matter how many times you hit the attack key. other various AI/pathfinding issues. especially during combat on hillsides etc
another concern. well not for me but im curious...the transfer command is going to become actually important now. meaning we wont be able to trade pets? how will some non ch go about getting a pet from anyone other than a master ch? how will they be able to give a pet to a master ch to train as a mount? sort of confused about how that will work, maybe i read it wrong.
im already a master, how will these changes affect me? will i have to relearn anything (feh!) or will it automatically adjust my skills)?
also what will happen to our existing creatures if anything?

Im a 0/1/0/1 Swordsman and earlier today I killed two 6000+ HAM mobs who attacked me at the same time. It is doable, it just takes a little skill, some good armor, and a little medic never hurts. I completely agree that they need to fix the bugs that make the game unplayable (like stability issues) before they get too carried away adding new stuff. Content is a problem, but MMORPGs have always been openended, and this isnt critical yet, and wont be until the the game matures some more. Right now the focus should be 95% on BUGS. If we can't play, why should we stay?
