You say "no risk to the PVP disabled" players, though that's technically not true. There's always going to be risk againstt he turrets and NPCs, and TH said that the NPCs at a PvP base would be quite hard to kill. That doesn't sound risk-free to me.

Perhaps they should implement some system where if PvP-disabled players attack a PvP base's defense, they become PvP-enabled? In order to do that, however, there would have to be some sort of way of telling the two apart at a glance, and that certainly wouldn't help it if you accidently run into run and are forced to defend yourself against an NPC attacker. Say you're on a mount and lag doesn't make the base appear at first, and when it finally does you're in the midst of NPCs. They attack, you fire back automatically. Congratulations, you're now PvP-enabled and fair game.

It shouldn't work that way.

Yes, it feels like an exploit to have PvP-disabled players take out the defenses, but there IS a risk in doing it that way, and it would cerainly give any PvP-enabled defenders an opportunity to call for reinforcements since they know that PvP-enabled attackers are likely on their way. After all, there are a lot of NPCs and turrets to take out before anyone can enter the base, and even with the most powerful squad of PvP-disabled players, that's at least five or ten minutes until the base becomes vulnerable to destruction.

There are going to be uber NPCs in the PvP bases so they are not undefended and more of a challenge. What they don't have is external defenses. I don't think we will allow base deed trades to other factions, thanks for calling that out.

Same here. But I guess that they're right in ignoring us for now, there aren't alot of PvE Jedi. The focus should lie on PvP for the moment, because if they don't get PvP right this time, the game is dead.





Huh? Every jedi I know is PvE. I think they are by far the unseen majority, we're off beating bushes and in hiding.

Looks great. A few suggestions and Questions.


1) PvE bases should have the nasty NPC defending it not the PvP bases. PvP bases should be defended by Players, not players and tough NPC's IMHO.


2) What about Scanners and Mine Fields. Will they work?


3) Are Jedi going to be taken out of the GCW? I know alot of people who will come back to the game and PvP if this is done but all these changes will make no difference to the normal player who actually wants to PvP in the GCW but can not because it is now over run by Jedi.


4) What about instead of Player Placed PvE bases. You put 4 Large PvE Base/Dungeons per planet that can be flipped for control of the quadrant per planet. Players can go in and try and take the bases and change to their faction with tasks needing to be done from top to bottom. Once you get to the bottom Command center and perform the last part needed the Base changes to your faction. This is where the Nasty NPC's should be. Cause really I don't see any reason to place a PvE base.

Ok, had a pow wow internally to go over all the rules again.


So you can't really defend PvE bases - - that's why we're giving them away for free.


The purpose of these bases is PvE fun.










Hey, I just got an idea! lol




Something like this cold be used to help set up huge faction bases... maybe something like a small outpost, but the abality to create a wall between 2 bases X distance appart. This could make taking out PvE bases a valid combat choice while trying to take a PvP base... This could even help the combat upgrade with aditional 'tactics'
