Thread: Developing a Solution for the Faction Base Issue
Making private structures impossible to enter while TEFd is a quick fix, but it does work to fix the ONE problem of PvP individuals hiding in private structures to attack bases/cities etc. It's not really neccessary imo, but if we want to prevent hiding in private structures during PvP use the suggestion someone else made, when a TEFd character enters a building it becomes public until they leave of the TEF wears off.
Currently with player cities TEFS areeffecting tons of other things, and just plain being annoying. I should not have to wait 5,10, or 20 minutes after a battle is over to enter our player city cantina to deal with battle fatigue or our medical center to deal with wounds. These should be considered public buildings, anyone can enter them they aren't a house which can be closed of to everyone. Citizens of a city Should be able to hide inside their "public" buildings from known invaders, ie. city banned individuals. This can not be used to attack other cities or bases, and adds a little flavor to defending your town.
In addition, imoa medic healing wounds of overt players should not be ejected from the player city medical center, nor should someone be kicked out of town hall for trading with an overt. TEFs should be for purely combat related tasks, attacking/killing an NPC or PC member of the other faction, period. In addition, it should be short 5 minutes is MORE than enough. If you are involved in a battle you keep getting TEFd, but afterwards you shoudn't have to wait around to complete simple tasks. This would eliminate so many annoying problems as well as overt individuals "camping" the faction terminals to catch covert individuals the moment they get a TEF from talking to the recruiter, which primarily effects beginning characters who don't know enough about the TEF system.
I think PvP should be primarily for those who choose to do PvP, I am overt all the time, I get killed alot because of it. But it makes the game more interesting...though I have started going around naked since the clothes started decaying. If people, particularly those starting off in SWG don't want to get involved in PvP we shouldn't force them to...how is a novice scout possibly going to survive 5 seconds overt, and accordingly they shouldn't be made easy targets by doing everyday non-combat tasks.

Also, why show the amount of items in the base when you cant drop anything in it.
dumbiest change in the game hands down.
tef for trading in your own house
God this game has turned communist.
thanks for controling my live mother russia!
P.S. its MY HOUSE
sounded like a good idea at first but this definatly needs some work..... getting booted out of PUBLIC player city cantinas and medcenters is not neccessary.
