Thread: In-Concept Open Discussion (Week Ending 3-1-04)
I just have a couple of questions. I tried surfing through the pages to see if these questions have been asked ( I am sure they have though).
1) I play a wookie and I was wondering if for Theme parks if there will ever be an alt to armour for wookies (like a sash with bonuses or just a unique one)
2) Along the same Wookie line; an alt to the rebel armour maybe rebel uniform for wookies Hood, shoulder pad, gloves.
3) I noticed that Imps get a rank shoulderpad as a faction perk? Will rebels ever have the chance to display there rank also. It take quite a bit of time invested I would like to display it. (Hopefully something for wookies so we can display this also)
4) The bazaar; Is there a plan to encorperate a place in a few cities where a large area can be set aside to place merchant tents in 'stalls' static areas for browsing convence. I was thinking this would cut down on stepping off a shuttle in to spam h*ll. Maybe SOE could sell tickets to stallsthat would last for alimited time (a week) and onlyable to purchase 1 ticket a month so as not to dominate the space and that it wouldconstantly be refreshed with new vendors. And players could show off there wares and the loc to there real store. And then the hawkers could shout there also.

Healing Crystals of Fire: These would act as buffs for the Force bar. They could last for 3 hours or something and would be quest items or drops from the opposite side of the Force Jedi that you are (Light Jedi shouldn't be able to kill themselves or Rebels and visa versa)
Actually make the Force moves use the Force. From what I've heard everything revolves around your mind and therefor many Jedi are goin to zabracks for the xtra skill points. That shouldn't matter to Jedi.

what about adding class houses...houses that goes with the class, smuggler (hideout) droid engineer (droid repair and building house) and so on... housing is just houses,all looking the same is wierd. but each house should have certain modifiers and penalties..just like the two examples i gave you,smuggler hide-out modifer to making spice,or to hide the smuggler from the law...droid engineer, his repair shop has the tools needed there,add a modifier to the droids build or repaired.....and one more would be like a armorsmith shop, repair or armor bonus,building bonus,but the cost of the shops be alot higher upkeep than a normal house,these are special houses after all.

I think thats a really good idea! It is pretty stupid that there are only such a limited amount of houses, and that they are limited to certain planets... I larger range of houses would be good, and profession specific houses sounds good too.

1 lose the holos thous should of never made it to game.
2 force crystals should be harvested out of a jedi only cave on dantooine. called the force crystal cave and in side a some crystal spiders that you need to kill to get to the center of the cave to harvest a crystal. 1 crystal a day for jedi's
3 crystal should be the way you get the color of you sabar and artifaces and pearls should all be upgrade options items.
4 should have jedi only quest from trainer to set your path to light or dark. the out come of the quest determents your force side you'll be when you are ready to hit knight.
5. bounty hunters droids should pop on jedi and jedi should have the option to destroy a bounty droid to pervent a bounty hunter from finding you. this well lower the jedi farming that soon will come.
6 jedi only clothing (IE robes and and stuff with skill modes)some that are effective as armor. normal armor should give negitive stats to force powers and effectiveness to powers. might be able to be crafted by jedi or loot and quests
7 jedi should have a way to deflect laser fire back to a target at random and add skill modes to that as you lvl. IE blocks and reflects
8 jedi need deffence mods added to the knight tree and up to allow them to be more effective.
9 jedi master should have a specal force power to choose from that is different from light and dark side this should be obtained from a jedi master only quest from trainer (example: dark side rage, light side force deffence to force powers)
Personally I find the people outside starports and everywhere just screaming at me to BUY THIS or SELL THAT very annoying, but I also can understand why they do it since there are virtually no other ways of advertising. Perhaps an in game message board at the main city centers can help. People can leave posts on and others can browse through em. Others that aren't interested won't feel hassled every time they go near a starport.

I suggest you simply add more Dungeons like the Genosian Bio-Lab now. It was a big hit and it can't be all that hard to simply reorganize the layout, add some new textures, quickly come up with a new plot and NPC dialogue, give it a new title, and plop iton. This way you can get tons of high-quality dungeons with little hassle and add a really good one that took a lot of work every now and then.
The only problem I see with the above is it'll be hard to find groups if there are too many equal dungeons and people will be spread out.
So another idea:
Give us a single Meeting Center-type thing in every city rather than seperate med centers and cantinas. Make it work as both of those and place NPC's that act as heralds to dungeons there. Don't just plop the NPC's down in the middle of nowhere where nobody talks to them.
You may say: this is out of context, but the meeting centers can beMission Guilds (not actual "guilds" in game-terms just using that as a stand-alone word) or whatever where all the "people" (NPC's) come for help with their problems and offer the missions to dungeons.
