Battlefields are easy to fix. Shut all of them down but one, rename it to "Emain", and step back and watch the zerg. :-)

Ok, my two cents. When I'm in the mood to fight, make it easy for me to find one. Something like /battlefield, which lists the two (whatever) battlefields currently in contention, including their planet & coordinates.

Second, each battlfield should have two channels, one imperial and one rebel. These channels are for people to hook up and get involved.

Last, keep score somehow. When one side "wins" a battlfield, chalk it up on a scoreboard somewhere and then open up the next.

how bout kill "battlefields" and make battle planets, that just seems alot more leastic then just wanderin into a fanced area, make it a planet we can shuttle to, slap somw structures on it and decent terrain. Slap down a rebel and imperial staging area and perhaps a few bases to fight over like daoc has in their battegrounds

With battlefields having been down for over a month now, I can only hope that they've already had some work done to them and will soon be back up. Plz keep us informed TH

Just to keep everyone informed, Battlefields will be closed down for a complete upgrade. As part of the team’s efforts in 2004,the GCW is going to progressively heat up. We want it to peak with re-iterated battlefields, completely re-vamped and exciting.fficeffice" />

To do that, we have to close them down.Battlefields are closed for business. I will keep you updated and involved with the changes. When the time is appropriate, I'll post an In-Dev thread so we can get your ideas on what the battlefield experience should be like.

TH, according to the official web site, on the in development page, it was stated that we would have the opportunity, beginning on Jan 5th, and ending somewhere around January 20th on our opinions of the droid invasion that will be happening. I have yet to see any posts on the matter, nor have we seen on the forums any real communication from you whatsoever. I think I won't hold my breath to see the BF discussion anytime soon.

I think this is great news for Jedi. I'm hoping that battlefield deaths won't count against their permadeaths.

Looking forward to it.

(Now post more TH, the natives are restless)

It wouldn't take anything more then to make battlefield death have no penalty and non-bf deaths have major penalties

I.e 10% uninsured decay 2% insured decay vs none on battlefield

also let jedi fight and die with no penalties on bf's

1. Epifett - Shut Up.. they told us about this a while ago and it's a good thing.

2. TH - Hey man one big issue I had with battlefields was when you zoned it you where dead by the time your client loaded. Can you check to make sure this is addressed? I know it did the same to others as well.

Thx

In every PvP Battlefield there will be two starting base, one for each faction... with starting base I mean a cloning facility where I "pop up" when I enter the Battlefield and where I clone after being slained (I guess the clone window shall have three options when in a bf: BF base, closest clone facility and pre-designed).

The starting bases/cloning facilities have to be defended by a huge force of incredibly strong factional NPCs...e.g.: AT-AT, AT-ST and Stormtroopers for Imperials, troopers and large turrets for Rebels, this has to be done to prevent bases camping and defend loading PGs.

A shuttleport for each starting base shall be fine, but not absolutely needed (my opinion ).

The BF terrain has to be similar to a place where a war is running... I mean destroyed buildings, burned trees, etc etc...some background soundswill be nice too.

To give the battle a "purpose" there will be a big obiective to reach... a base to conquer for each faction? more small bases for each faction? one unique base? more small bases to conquer?

This were my two Eurocents opinions
