Hey TickTock, which server?
I dont have that problem on my main...
Kauri and Starsider both suffer tremendous lag on dantooine and lok (especially N-NW dantooine) - Enough that crafting can take upwards of 30 seconds to load the schematic, compared to instantly if you hop to coronet (one of the most populous cities).
Ever since player cities were introduced, the load of these planets has been increasing dramatically with little end in sight (since you can't grow a city on the starter planets because of the cap).
You may want to look at some timing/load stats across the various clusters for these planets, i think you may find some interesting results.
The lag was enough on Dantooine to make me stop doing crafting there and relocate back to tatooine after only 1 week. Even chat is lagged out there.
As for my connection stats:
I play in 2 places - At work we have duel dedicated OC48's. At home i have 1.5m/768k DSL. (As i said, Dant and Lok hurt bad, tatooine and corellia are near flawless)

Starsider. Let me guess, your main server is Test Center? Otherwise I can't see how you wouldn't notice this...
Chilastra, though as you can see there are a multitude of others experiencing this on a variety of servers.
Simply, Dath, Lok, Endor, Yavin, and Dant, I all consider to be hard planets. Especially Dath. I expect to be swimming in a city of red death on Dath, but that doesn't happen. Oh sure, it will occur in tight clusters usually near cities, but most of the terrain (from personal experience) on Dath, Lok, and Dant is quite barren.
I don't visit Endor and Yavin enough to make an educated statement on those.

Sorry about the mis-post earlier, try playing on Flurry. You can visit either Lok Endor or Dantooine and once you get past the mission spawn areas you don't see npc's or creatures for kilometers at a time, except for the ones at POI's. I haven't checked since ya'll have added servers but that has always been a problem on Flurry.

I'm on Bloodfin, and Lok has no spawns. Dantooinehas lots of lag.
Yes, definitly on chilastra there is a lack of anything randomly spawned any were near any outpost on the mission planets for COA act 3. Its pretty bad when all you can find to kill 2.5km out from the outpost on yavin 4 is either someones act 3 mission stuff, or a mission from one of the terminals.
Alot of this imo is due to how the mission system works in the first place. I have never goten a mission greater than 2km from the terminal, except from like theed, but thats a city zone issue and not the norm. Honestly, we are ending up with rings of spawns around the outposts, then nothing for a good long ways, with a few rare spawns in between, most of it low level foder not worth my effort exp wise to shoot.
My suggestion is we need more creature specific zones on the planets away from the outposts in the wilds. Some spots like this due exist, but the number and types of spots needs to be increased. The rancors around the dath sarlacc pit are a good example, this is a great but searously hazzardous place to hunt the big uglies. But it is one of the most fun things a well coordinated group can do right now. I have probably died so many times there it is not funny, but well worth it for the fun I have hunting there.
I would like to see something like a Klicknik spot on yavin overrun with them in vast numbers, maybe a large super hive type of decorative element visible from a distance to note the area, kind of like a giant termite mound or something, just liberaly sprinkle lairs of them around this hive element, and increase the spawn rate of them in this location or something. It could even be a semi random spot, moving around the planet every so often. There are many good creatures to hunt that could have stuf like this for them, and on chilastra there is room for it on most of the planets.
This would be a heck of alot better than the 2km to 4km wide bands of nothing but open country that currently exist on my server on most of the adventuring planets.
On Eclipse
Lok has been empty for about 5 months now. I once spent 6 hours running the planet and only saw one spawn of gurks near the volcano, and that was 5 months ago. Shortly after there was supposed to be a fix out that would increase the spawns. My average went from 1 over 6 hours to 3 over 6 hours. I have only been to Lok once since cities came out, and it was an average of 3 over 3 hours. Still not great.
Dantooine is overwhelmed with lag. There is a huge Player city there that is constantly laggy. Isle of Misfits I believe. I can never access a vendor in under 3 minutes, if I get in at all. They role play in this city so there is a huge number of active citizens, and the largest Weaponsmith (maybe not largest but definitely the most popular) has now retired from the game for various reasons, and so his vendors were always being bombarded with players for weapons. The Force Caves lagged a bit my only time there, but not as bad as the rest of the planet. I ran around on foot one night and didn't see any spawns for over an hour and a half, and I rarely see any spawns outside the 1.5K limit of outposts where missions tend to normally stop spawning.
Dathomir is definitely (at least before COA3) full of creatures near the main avenues of travel, but I went south all the way to the edge of the map and then East a few Kliks then North to the Imp Prison and although I saw spawns, I didn't see any for about 40 minutes of that trip.
Yavin IV used to be full of creatures not only near the outposts but also out in the wild. Now I can run to the Woolamander temple and see only a few here and there, not as dangerous as it once was. (also before COA3).
I have been loving it on Endor for the last month and a half. It has been excellent, however with COA3 it did get a lot less crowded in creatures and more so in players. I actually saw 15 players in the Smugglers outpost at one time. Very odd for me to see that, usually it is around 8 at the most. I did a /who search and my list was truncated at 32 for the first time on the planet.
I do believe we are having problems with lag and creature spawning on many planets. I do hope we can sort this out in the near future. Also, I tried to access a vendor near Theed on Naboo the other night, well, I couldn't get in, not that I really expected to, but I thought I would give it a try. No luck.
I hope this can help a little, as Eclipse is a somewhat popular server with the entire SWG community and we are all seeing this throughout the day.

ive seen this happen a few times on Lok and Dantooine, Galaxy:Scylla, and when nothing special was going on... i'd drive everywhere and not see but 1 creature at most (other than mission spawns).

Ahazi here. But my understanding is that we're not alone... Oh, and that the lag is gamebreaking during high *SERVER* load on all the high-population planets.
