no one has ever used them, no one ever will...no one cares

this is waste of resources we are paying for....

how can you justify "improving" junk dealers when there are still bugs...bugs from publish 6 and bugs in publish 7 that have been reported for 2 weeks.

this is nearly a big of a joke as the droid evasion

What'd be nice is if you could BUY junk FROM the junk dealers, to make up for the lack of loot drops that aren't dropping anymore.

Like the jawa's on Tatooine, ever the scavengers they are, could sell you Tusken Helmets for 50,000 credits or something.

THAT would be really AWESOME.

I'm sure alot of people would agree with me on that.

Either that, or re-increase loot drops from MOBS...since the past 3 months they haven't dropped much of anything useful, if anything at all.

How's this for a suggestion:

Let's say players can get a "quest" from a junk dealer. This quest can involve flat out listing what he wants or giving obvious hints for pieces of junk that he wants. Players collect these pieces and bring them back to the dealer. The dealer then tinkers with these pieces and hands the player back a weapon enhancement part that is useable in a weapon the player likes. Nothing on the level of a krayt tissue, of course, but something that is nice.

This makes junk dealers more valueable, gives them some RP credibility and in no way causes an imbalance with their rewards.

Thank you for the improved functionality to Junk Dealers. Say, is the "armor hole" bug fixed yet?

you people forget the Non powergames, the people who actually ENJOY the game and all the extra nifty extras put in. A new player wouldnt know what to do with a looted item from an npc, so he can go to a junkdealer just for the extra cash...sounds excellent to me

Except the 'newbie' would have to travel around, wasting money to find a dealer that would buy the junk. Read what he said.

"Junk Dealers won’t buy just any junk either. Different dealers will specialize in different kinds of junk, so players will have to explore and find out which dealer deals in which kind of junk."

This means they have to travel around, possibly by shuttle, or slow boat, to find the dealer to buy the junk. Not feasible, even for a newbie. Waste of time and money, no real reward. Paying 500 credits round trip to sell something worth 100 credits, sorry.

I went around town and the junk dealers were very easy to find and it seems all the major towns have a dealer to buy each type of good so, despite what some people are saying, a new player will certainly not have to travel by shuttle to find the right dealer, but simply bring up the overhead map and visit them till they find the right one. I can't say for smaller towns, but It seems that all the starting towns have all the dealers. So, I'd say good job!

Secondly, I visited the jawa traders (being a master smuggler right now) and I'd really have to say good job with this one! I love how you implemented the language comprehension part of it. Really cool! Also, I noticed that the jawas seemed to offer me about twice as much for my items as the standard junk dealers did. Nice little perk if you ask me.

So, to sum it up, I think you guys did a good job with this one. Keep up the good work!

Went out to the jawa traders with a few items.....

cdef rifle- 65 cr

ammo bandolier- 50 cr

tusken gloves- 90 cr

My impression?......not worth my time and effort to keep useless junk to sell to such cheap little scum, I'll just keep on destroying the useless crap as soon as I get it. For THIS smuglers lose panic shot? what a joke.
