Heck yeah, though I'd like to question the design decision on making the helmet an integrated part of the chest piece. Part of the reason why we wanted armour is to be able to take advantage of armour attachments, but judging by the setup we seem to be no better, or perhaps worse off in terms of allowances for those slots. Before people lambast me for 'complaining' I'd just like to point out that wookiees have very few ways to enhance via clothing tapes.

Thank you for just stopping by for that, Shug. It means a lot to us

I have one question though, will this armor have the color options like other armor sets? will it be the smaller selection, natural kinda colors?

Because aside from protection, indentity between wookiees is very important and harder to achieve with such a small amount of choices for wearables.

** EPISODE 3 POSSIBLE SPOILER **

Hey Shug, what about reports that we'll see Wooks with battle armor in Episode 3? From what I have heard (and I thought it came from official sources actually) it was more metallic, true laser-era battle armor. Or what about even Chewie's kind of armor from Shadows of the Empire? Did you guys look atthat at all?

Only sort of off topic...

So with the new wookiee armor apparently tailors will be making one of the components and, lo and behold, we'll actually be able to experiement on it. So when will wookiee tailors (who have a vested interest in the armor) be able to wear crafting aprons so that we can make the best components possible (not to mention every other wookiee crafter who can't wear an apron either)?

It's no good if you only give your wookiee love halfway.

Great job, now if you could please;

fix armor for the other species (trando boots and gloves)

fix the imperial hat (broken since beta)

fix the species specials - most of them are useless

Thank you for making this game great

Ok, I've kept silent about the armor, unsure as to what might happen if the dreams of hundreds of wookies were shattered... But Ihave to say thank you for the consideration and giving us a chance to last longer in battle (whether it be pvp or pve). I wonder though, does anyone know if it will only be craftable by wookies? What are the materials used in making the pieces of this armor? Will you be able to change the color to personalize your set of armor? (I'm asking these questions just out of curiosity that I too may ready myself for the armor).

I'd like to also offer up my thanks. I'm another veteran Wookiee. I've been playing since a month or two after launch, and that whole time my main has been a female wookiee (a rarity in an increasingly rare species). I'm very happy that this armor is being introduced. I never realized how bad off we were until I rolled up a human on another server and got some armor.

Thank you thank you thank you! I can't wait to see the new concepts!

I had a Force sensitive character, with 23 and a half boxes ground out.
I had a master creature handler.
I had a high lvl crafter character.
I had a Bounty Hunter that I hunted PC Jedi with.

My game is dead.

While looking at the schematics-screenshots on swg.warcry.com ...

The not-so-low amounts of wooly and leathery used up by them make me ponder if there is any plan to address this again increasing demand for a too low suppy (avaliable playingtime of hunters). Good that wookiees get armor, but has anyone thought about the 'sideeffects' and how to address them? Guess not :/.

Instead of Wookiee armor, how about making PSGs as good as armor but incompatible with armor. Armor is essential to this game, the negative effects are easily counteracted and the positive effects are indispensable. The result is that everyone is running around in just a couple of different armors and therefore looking exactly like each other (and every other MMO). IF PSGs were an option then people could wear any of the hundreds of wonderful clothing items you painstakingly designed, could do so without getting pwned at every available opportunity, and would stay within the continuity. Plus those that wanted to wear cool armor still could. Win-win, right?
