The scout droids seem useless. What is the point of having them if they do not enhance the users harvesting amount. First impression.

The modules I've been hearing about will harvest 40-50% more than the owner. Add to that, that it'll make it faster and easier and I don't understand your complaint. Faster, easier and more; I don't see your problem.

I have a harvest/deathblow/loot macro as well, but, you can't use it while in combat. You can issue your droid to harvest while in combat, however.

TH, is there a reason this patch was given only EIGHT days to test on TC before it was trickled out? Any reason why there are still bug fixes for droids being pushed to TC, as in today, but the centerpiece of this Publish is the functionality of droids?

Hola TH,

Not sure you really want feedback on this droids rebuilt patch. Well you asked for it so here goes.

Currently have a real life buddy who has been a DE for 6 months now that holds on to your every breathe about fixing the DE profession. We spent 1 hour checking out all the droids from the patch today. Must say what a huge let down. Don't think your work equals 6 months of work and 2 "major" publishes. I'm not a DE but could hear my buddies disappointment over TS.

1. Liked the quickness of servers coming back online. Now lets look at patch and then we see nothing to major was patched in.

2. Med stim A droid is cool and liked that anyone can use not just a medic. Also the no mind cost is nice.

3. Survey planet droid is 48min and 30 seconds of pure suspense. Even with your 10 min spaceport time which only you dev's want I could beat it too any planet and see what resources are there.

4. Harvest droid that only a scout can use. Now lets look at this great idea maybe this is where all your time went for droid rebuild which we all know it wasn't utilized in the combat droid section of this two patch master peice. I harvest same qaunity as before and also I gotta keep power in the droid and wait for it to crawl over the corpse.

5. The entertainer droid section was interesting but don't think these will be hot sellers either.

I feel for all you droid engineers in the galaxies. Even thou I'm not one of you.

TH thanks for making my buddy waste skill points and hope for 6 months to be let down by this crap. Here's a tip put FOOD STAMPS in the game to support DE'S due to no chance of a future with income.

TH, my old combat droid STILL stinks in combat. When do we get Droidekas and the like?

I just hit a bunch of buttons and hope everything works out.

26 Named resources are needed to make our droids now. Don't you think this is a little rediculous?

Scout Droid Questions:

I'm ok that it requires Scout, ok that it doesn't do much better than I can (though would be nice if better), but not happy that I have to tell it to harvest each individual kill?

Also,
If in combat, and my droid is running around harvesting, is it in danger of being aggo'd and disabled?

Not sure how much of a benefit this is, especially to somebody who already has harvesting abilitites:
- I fly out to my lair
- Call Droid, wait 15 seconds (unless I make a camp, woohoo)
- Start killing stuff
- Before I switch targets, I need to tell droid to harvest
- Store droid
- Fly to next lair/target
- Repeat

If the harvesting I would normally do takes longer than the 15 seconds to pull it, I guess I'm saving time, but not much.

If my Droid is in danger of being attacked, I wouldn't bother using it at all.

To elaborate, the simple act of having it go harvest is pointless. We are not playing vs. Super inteligent AI running across the planet weaving in and our of trees, using ranged/melee to their advantage. I mean, they follow you even though you are creaming them with 2-4k hits. Mobs dont cause any danger to me, I frequently walk around under attack just to assemble near all the corpses ready to harvest. Takes me about 2 extra seconds and saves me the hassel of having to wait 15 seconds for my droid to come out, since it can't follow my bike.

Great job with these new droids. I can't wait to get my hands on a droid with survey and harvest. I'll report as soon as I do.

Considering that I have a /loot; /harvest meat; macro set on my toolbar I don't think it's going to save me 15 seconds of time to call my droid versus pressing F1.

Also, you get a 40% reduction in harvesting when you're grouped.... does this still apply with a Scout droid?

Warranted?!?! What exactly does this survey droid do? Will it retrieve samples and send stats back? Or does it just tell you "hey, there's Lokian Wild Wheat on Lok... duh."?
