Hey Th,

Is there any chance we can at least get a timeframe on when we will know what is planned for the Smuggler Revamp? The Smuggler Forum is literally overflowing with all these great ideas, but we can never tell if we are just shooting in the dark, or if anything we are hoping for might actually make it into the Revamp.

I know you don't want to commit to anything that might end up changing Th, but please let us know what is in store for us as soon as humanly possible. We have no idea what the Revamp is going to mean for us, if it is really going to happen this time, because we never heard a word from the devs that last time except to be told the revamp was being delayed. There was never any indication that anyone was actually working on it, and it is looking the same way again... not a peep about Smugglers has slipped by. People are starting to lose hope.

We need to know what, if anything, is going on in regards to our profession.... who is working on it... what they can do, what they cannot give us.All we have seensince launchis a nerf of feign death, two nerfs of panic shot, and a nerf of spices.

If there is anything positive on the horizon you can share with us, anything that will enhance the Smuggler profession rather than rendering it less useful and less fun to play, we would love to hear about it.

Hope all you people at Fan Fest have a blast.

TH... With the lightsaber changes (*cough* nerf *cough*), It has become impossible to grind jedi. The sabers are so weak, you need to spam specials to defeat any creature, where it used to take me several swings of my saber to get 500 XP now it takes like 20 flurry2's.... this is insane. The damage is WAY to low, the AP is broke EVEN ON CREATURES. So im using a nerfed, 0 AP glowbat, with high force costs...

Is the Jedi Revamp ment to kill the profession?

I would honestly rather have our old sabers back then these 0AP wuss sticks.

What is the biggest, meanest, toughest critter in the game, and where does he (or she) spawn

Since the AT-AT does not yet spawn on his own, I guess the answer is: The Gorax of Endor.

That bonus answer was the best!

Thanks for the update man. I'd like to know where the team stands on adding holsters to the game? I know 'they looked clunky' was the reason to date, but I was wondering about the progress or if it's an issue on the back burner...kinda takes away from the pistoleer profession IMO.

I look forward to the next couple of Focus Threads.

Our sabers have been changed to Lightsaber damage, which everyone is very happy about. However the addition of "vuln" to all creatures causes armor piercing 2 to not function, due to the way "vuln" is calculated in the armor system (It negates all armor piercing). This means that while nothing has an actual protection from lightsaber damage, everything essentially is getting a 56% damage reduction. This makes our lightsaber damage output extremely low especially in PVP. Can something be done to fix this? Possibly increase the damage on our sabers the appropriate amount would be the easiest solution. (As I doubt changing the core function of vuln to be a time efficient endeavor).

Lightsabers have been balanced against the system after the combat balance. For PvP specifically, Jedi Knights and above will be balanced for PvP play.

I've been on a break for a few months, so I'm not sure if this was ever anwsered. When I left, there were some debates about the way AP worked. With Player tests showing the x1.25 extra damage bonus per difference in level (and vulns giving no ap bonus) (AP > AR) and the devs saying that there was NO damage bonus, just a reduction in the resists. Was this ever resolved?

Actually, it's a chance to fall after any posture change, not just attempting to stand.

Nope - You can go prone or kneel, and back to kneeling from pronewhile dizzy... as soon as you hit /stand though... down you go. Even if you're standing, and you type /stand, plop - flat on your back.

Either that or it's any upward posture change... now that i've been thinking about it, i can't remember. - I can promise you that downward posture changes do not cause you to fall down when dizzy.

Designers: Concerning the Scout and Ranger Profession

What role does camping play in SWG now?

Due to vehicles, the world is very small and camps are no longer used by players (except when trying to master scout).

Shouldn't camping-related skills be replaced with something useful?
