I have a 3rd gen 1 hander made with all very poor crystals that isn't deconstructing.

Is this intended? Could we at least get color crystals out of these sabers?

For some reason I am unable to break down 2 of my lightsabers, both of them are gen 2, one a 1 handed, and one a two handed.

Lightsabers are fine, if you would just amplify the damage on the default attack, or take the force costs on saber down to about 1/2-1/4th of their current force costs.

Here's an even better one, deconstructed a pearl saber and it disappeared...leaving nothing in my inventory. Crystal sabers won't deconstruct so I can't do anything with my crap crystals either so I guess I'm done with this for now.

Wrong. My 4th gen all crystal saber gave me 3 pearls. See my post in Professions/Jedi for more details.

Were there any problems with your de-constructed lightsaber?

3 sabers:

3rd gen dismantled right away,

5th gen initially no menu option, then deconstructed.

still have a 4th gen with menu option but will not deconstruct

Pearl Tuning without any problems?

yes

Crafting/experimentation problems:

background: I am a master weaponsmith (since day 1 of server launch), so had the best polysteel copper, duralloy, titanium aluminium, polymer, and corsiant inert gas that have popped on Corbantis. (check this on swgcraft.com)
Crafting was done in a city with Research Bonus.

Experimentation seems to be weak right now compared to the benefits other weapons get.
Each experiment point was only increasing dmg by 1pt.
Each experiment point on FC reduced by 1pt
Experimenting the last few points on dmg wasn't changing stats even though there are boxes left to experiment.

I would suggest some variance in FC cost reduction of 2pt for great, 3pt for amazing success
I would suggest relooking at the dmg increase for great and amazing successes.

"When you were crafting your lightsaber, did your Experimentation Points work the way you expected? If not, how did they seem to work?"

Not really, the experimentation didn't seem to do much at all, and I was using some very good resources. Each experimentation point in damageraised the damage by around 2 points, and dropped the speed by around.025 (so a total of .1 speed improvement with 4-5 points experimented in damage). Experimenting on efficiency seemed pretty weak also -- 5great successeslowered the force cost of the sabers from 53 to 51, and the HAM costs dropped by a similarly rather small amount (maybe 2% per experiment point).

I didn't feel that the saber stats were effected by the quality of the resources enough either -- the resources I used on TC-Corbantis were considerably better than the mediocre ones we were given on TC2, and yet the saber stats were not much better at all -- same speed, same force cost, and only around 5-10 points difference in damage. Why would much better resources give you a saber with the same speed and force cost as one made with run of the mill resources?

Experimentation points do little if anything to sabers.

At best, using all 10 points I can drop the saber force cost on a 4th gen from 53 to 48.

If I want to go damage side, the 10 experimentation points add a whopping 7 damage to each range.

Its just really, really sad.

NOW for my Sabres.......

No matter WHAT quality components were used to build my sabre.... I got back out in "pearls" the exact same mid level quality items. So my 12 million credits in pearls used to make my Best sabre, gave me 4 "quality" pearls....

What was put in (between 120-196 max damage, -1.0 to -1.6 speed, -5 to -9 force in pearls) gave me back out +18 -+31 damage, -.2 to -.43 speed and -3 to -7 force cost.

My JUNK sabre made with the worst crystals possible..... all crystals were -damage, + spd, and + force cost.... gave me 4 pearls ranging from +21 to +44 damage, -.2 to -.5 spd and -3 to -7 force cost.

Plus I would dismantle a sabre and NOT get a color crystal!!! so hey you had a sabre you take it apart and now... unless you have an additional looted component.. you cannot make a NEW sabre! **edit**....

Next the pearls in my inventory, also "converted" and dropped to similar quality junk +20 or so max damage, -.3 spd, -5 force.....

All my crystals which I paid millions for, became useless color crystals (well atleast I could build a sabre now.)

I KNOW the max damage on pearls were dropped to abot tops +50 max damage... I am unsure of speed and I think best force is still -9. What is readily apparent is that there IS no system determining what the quality of our pearls were during sabre creation under the old system, instead your just giving everyone "quality" pearls for everything.

Our Sabres need to at a minimum break down to the damage pearls as well as a color crystal! (preferably the same color as our old blade, which is obviously information stored on our old sabres). It would be nice if the quality of our sabres/pearls actually determined the quality level of our new damage pearls.

All of our crystals should convert into Color crystals that have DAMAGE crystals as well. Color crystals with damage values EXIST on TC2, instead of forcing one or the other down our throats, please simply recognize this is a conversion process and basically some people want thier old crystals to be damage, others want it to be color... eventually the combo crystals will decay out of the system, but the only FAIR solution is to make all old crystals (single and twin) become Color crystals WITH damage as part of the conversion.

JEST3R

PS.

MY Force senstive Experimentation Skill line... STILL does not give me +2 experiment points(as we were told it should), this line is completely Useless.

Deconstructed sabers give back UNTUNED crystals/pearls.

Only issue:

4 crystal/pearl sabers not being able to deconstruct (Message saying "Cannot be deconstructed")

Why?
