Thread: FINAL RESOLUTION ON DECAY: 1% Decay will be gone with the Imperial Crackdown
What about vitality loss for pets in PvP?
Isn't that the same thing?
Stupendous Thunderheart! This "behind the scenes" report is exactly the kind of stuff the community loves to read. Evenin instances where theoutcome isn't something that sits well, just being able to read the details of the Developer's position will ALWAYS be well received. Thanks so much for sharing!

OK - I really, really don't want to seem ungrateful here - I'm very glad the Dev team listens to the community on issues like this.
To play Devil's Advocate though - has there been thought given to the implication of this? That being that now that (providing you have cloned) there is no penalty for Faction death, faction battles will again become "zerg" actions? There is now nothing standing in the way of folks continually returning from the cloning centre to either wear down defences or continually bolster them (in the case of bases specifically). Please correct me if I am wrong here.
I think some thought should be given to putting in a 5 minute "groggy" period the same asthe 1 minute one that exists already for doctor resurrection. During that time the player should not be able to attack or go overt. This could easily be applied to all deaths as well, as most of the time in PvE people die a fair distance from the cloning centre, and if not it's usually because the same "zerg" tactics are being used against a tough critter (Krayts).
Just a thought - cudos for taking the temperature of the forums on this and being flexible enough to incorporate our wishes ![]()

Thanks TH and to the rest of the team for listening and reacting
One question: does this apply to general dueling deaths?

Not to look a gift horse in the mouth here TH, but what can be done for those PAs that want to PvP by going to war with another PA?
