What skill box in Politician does a Mayor need in order to place the garage?

I tested this with Fatteh (thanks!).

Right now, /cityban does not affect garage use. You can repair normally even under ban.

If the PC Garage is truly a municipal structure, it seems to me that it should work like the shuttleport et al, and deny service to a /banned player.

Also, Nohlta made an excellent point today.

Garages should be registered in the Planetary Map. Same as Cloning Centers.

I also like the idea of cities being able to make some kind of profit off someone using their garage (ie shuttleport fees) it seems like a logical idea just based on the fact they are both transportation related.

Seeing that someone brought up the shuttle/bike exploit/bug I was wondering if there are any plans to fix that some time down the line. Just wondering if its worthwhile for a city to place a garage while this bug is still in game...

Also can someone who has one placed in a city on test tell us how much the maint. is on a garage?

If they don't make garages Master Artisan owned, a la clinic or cantina, then this would be a good idea. Maybe the single fee you currently set for shuttleports could simply apply to both. ("Transportation fee")

They said they're going to fix it (if they can...) I still don't understand what people's obsession with that bug is. It trades a time sink for a money sink.

There is no maintenance (per hour), it is a municipal structure. At present you need to put 1K in to redeed it, but that will probably go away unless they change them to player owned (see above).

Again, I urge anyone reading these threads and especially anyone POSTING to these threads to come join Test Center and see for yourselves (and post the resulting bugs here). If the "In Testing" forum degenerates into another "I don't play Test Center but I wanted to ask..." section, many of us actual testers willabandon it as we've abandoned TC forum. I don't mean that to sound like a threat; it's just an observation.

I'm glad this is being pushed out now.

I remember TH saying that player city garages wouldn't come out til like Publish 9!

Devs, I think you guys are on a roll now.

Don't kill yourself coming out with new stuff when old bugs still remain, though.

You can slow down a bit, if you think you need to.

as for me... the reason I asked is because my char on TC does not own and cannot afford a bike... also it would take me quite a while to find someone that has a garage and also was a militia of that city so he/she could ban me and then I could test this out

as for others.... maybe there computer does not have enough harddrive space to hold SWG and SWG-TC ... did you ever think of that? ... I think you should step back a bit and look at the larger picture......... you might want to thank me and the others that ask you regular TCers about stuff... you obviously didn't think about it yourself......... so I think everyone got what they wanted... but please do nottell the non regulars that they 'are not worthy' to ask you all questions about the new stuff on TC

and to repeat what I've said oh-so-many numerous times

/CITYBAN SHOULD BE APPLICABLE TO PLAYER CITY GARAGES

thanks very much

I was unable to repair my bike while next to the garage in PAVille on Tatooine...I had gotten the proximity message and had the "repair" option on the radial menu - but it didn't deduct my money or repair the bike.

before i post, let me say this. i donot play on TC, because of my play times. i am a mayor/crafter with multiple stores. i would like to thank all those on TC for your help with the game. you are a very important part of my enjoying the game.

i just placed a bank in my city and it used up one of my lots. does the pc garage take up any of the mayors lots? also how much maintenance does it add to the city maintenance?

Thanks.

You may want to double check on that. City Hall, Banks, Clone Facility, Garage and shuttle port don't use mayor's lots, it uses City's lots. The only structures which requires player lots are the Cantinas, Theaters and the Hospital.
