Excellent fix.
I truly truly hope you've also fixed that 10 bounty hunters can take a contract on the same Jedi, but that Jedi being killed by any of the ten leaves him on the mission list of the other 9 (so he could actually be cloning center camped, or rack up 10 deaths (or 20 if he goes linkdead during them), for one visibility breach).

im sorry, but you deleted my posts and left thislie here?

come on. can you guys point to one post in here that is about testing the jedi tracking with droids?

better delete them all, as none have to do with the topic.

To all the Jedi players posting here. STOP. The Dev's do not want nor care about your opinion or legitimate questions concerning the BH's abilityto track Jedi or any other Jedi issues with the upcoming patch.

This was a 3 page thread this morning with several posts asking legitimate questions about Jedi issues that are not being addressed with specific regard to BH Jedi tracking and player missions.

The Dev's do not care. They are more concerned about handing Jedi to the BH's on a platter for a few weeks before we are griefed enough and players lose enough skills (which they are not going to just give back even in instances of player griefing) that they say they will take a look at it.

I'm pretty sure the Devs do care. And BH hunting Jedi affects both classes. As long as there is constructive discussion, then this is a good place to bring up issues BEFORE being put into game.

I'm a bit surprised that the BH are fine with being able to track Jedi, then having the mission 'poof' on them after spending 30 minutes on it, since someone else completed it. And should I be 1 starred for offering a pretty decent suggestion- hiding names, so that Jedi 'friends' do not help protect them? If that suggestion is poor, then by all means offer an alternative.

I would like to know what happens when 10 BH group up on one Jedi mission, and the mission is completed. I can see this as a potential 'hot zone' for various bugs and exploits.

Come on guys, some constructive discussion on why name hiding is a bad idea... I think it helps all you BH out there. If it's exploitable- explain how, and lets get those holes fixed before launch. It's the exploits that bother me, not the fact BH can hunt Jedi- they should.

As to 1 BH or many- that really is up to the devs. When I take a mission, nothing annoys me more when it goes 'poof' on me after spending time travelling. Not all Jedi are 'out to screw the BH' you know. Some of us are BH, and have friends who are BH who we want to enjoy the game too.

while names not appearing on the terminals seems to be a good idea, i think that they HAVE to be. a death mark is placed on an individual, not on "unknown jedi" i've heard the argument that with names on the terminals jedi get hate tells. this is easily resolved by using /addignore <name>. my ignore list is very very long. and why are you surprised that BH's don't mindthe mission going *poof* after someone completes it? if i didn't terminate my target and someone else did, i lost the race.and to preventANY griefing.and THAT is what being a BH is all about. the thrill of the hunt, and being the first to complete the mission. most BH's are not griefers, but there are always exceptions to that rule. and it is not limited to BH's. almost all of the BH's feel the way i do about the mission going *poof*. yes we want to hunt you. yes we want to kill you. yes we want the money. why? because it's what the devs have promised. it's what we signed up for and it's what YOU signed up for playing a jedi. only the best of the best will be allowed to become powerful jedi with this system. and that is exactly how it should be. there is soooo much power in the highest skill trees. and the jedi who has those trees will be unstoppable. but there can not be very many of these characters in the game. it would totally unbalance everything. and this is the only way to keep a balance without putting a hard cap on the number of jedi per server. good luck and i hope to see you again, on the other end of my /deathblow

if you had a bounty on someone and someone else killed him, do you really think you should still have a bounty on him? he is dead. on to the next jedi. we have dealt with bugged missions for months that have taken an hour to complete. this will be NO problem.

the BH that had the mission and gets the deathblow gets the xp. everyone else in the group splits the 150k. everyone in the group does NOT get 150k each. even if they all had the same jedi for a mark.

what exploits?

Hey, what about this? If a Bounty Hunter fails 3-4 Jedi missions in a week, or 2-3 with the same Jedi (such as if they are protecting themselves or a friend) then THEY get a 150k bounty put on them. So the BH either has to stop playing for a week to clear out the queue (thus preventing him/her from protecting the Jedi anymore) or risk being hunted themselves. I'm not sure how effective a control this would be. Thoughts, anyone?

Uhhh... I must be missing something here. Seems to me that in order for you to SEE the name you have to be a BH in the first place. If I'm high enough to pull the bounty... Well I'm going to see your name when I DB you any how. So what exactly is the point in hiding the name? One way or the other your name will get out there. Sorry I know this is in the wrong thread and that normally drives me nuts... but since this thread has changed to a Jedi thread instead of a TC what do you think of this thread...

I think it would be nice if anybody could put a bounty on a mission terminal, for a Bounty Hunter to take. You will be able to choose the target (player), and how much $$$ for the reward. I think that would add an interesting twist.

Just an Idea.

/agree (even though this is not what this post is about lol). To deter griefing, I would also suggest making it a minimum bounty of 100k PLUS a 20% adminstration fee to post the bounty - so 120k to post a 100k bounty on someone's head.

I think that 10 or infinte BHs can take the same mission, BUT, the one who kills him first gets the money and mission gets auto-deleted from others datapads with message to the extent of "A better Bounty Hunter beat you to the punch."

"As I understand it, NPC Jedi missions were always available"

From my understanding and the BH community this is not true, this questions has been asked before, and whenever someone answers "Master Bounty Hunters most the time" they say they have never once had a NPC jedi mission off the terminals, same with me. Maybe this is something you should have someone have a look at TH?

What will happen if multiple Bh's have the same mission on the same jedi and one of the bountyhunters kills the jedi, will the other bh'sreceive some Failed Message and lose the mission from their datapad or do they keep the mission in their datapad andare also able hunt the jedi down till they killed it?

I know some of you were going to test this a few days ago and i was just wondering if you guys had an update for the jedi community on this yet:-)
