Perhaps these can drop off pirate ships in JTL as I will never have a chance to complete one before then!

Loot kits are a great edition. I love little unique semi hard to get items like this. A step in the right direciton just pop some more of these 'small features' out. That is what really make a game great IMO

Well I cant complain, There is alot of people out there NOT doing lootkits. Those people ARE getting lootkit drops which can be bought, traded, borrowed, recieved for nothing, or bartered for, depending on your gaming, negotiating, and social skills in the game.
I for one have set up a pack in one of my houses and admin'd most of my guild to the house so that we can trade these loot items freely.
Im working on 2 different kits with 2 of my characters. 1 Char is the Glass top table kit, 2nd Char is the Nabooian Sculpture kit.
With friends and guildmates helping, and the open swapping I have managed to get 8 of the 10 required items for the table and 2 for the sculpture, Ive also managed to supply several friends with parts for their rugs as well.
Im not sure of the algorithm(sp) used for the drop rate on these items. But it does seem to raise slightly with the level of the NPC's you are killing.
IE Ive seen more drops on White con NPC's than on light blue.
I like the idea of the new decorations, The loot drop can feel slightly frustrating if you are doing this all by yourself, i would like to see an increase but i put forth that request by modifying it to say that maybe as the levels go up on the NPC you need to up their increased drop percentage only slightly.
There are some NPC bunkers where you can see several items that i believe to be representations of these loot kit items. Im pretty sure i have seen several Gongs in a couple of the pirate bunkers
Keep up the good work!

I had no trouble locating a junk dealer and obtaining a loot kit. The interface is intuitive and easy to use.
I concur with many other posters that rate of loot drops is too low especially if you are soloing. Definitely a nice addition though.

You can talk to any junk dealer to get the kits from what I've seen.
My characters have gotten kits from 3 random dealers indifferent cities.
So far I have:
Orange rug
Blue rug
Gong structure
Most of the pieces I have looted are for the table and only 1 piece for the Gong. Seem to be low drop rates but it's a good idea.

Well I have gotten 5 parts in all - 3 glass table part, 1 status, and 1 blue rug all of them most of them came from Hunting Imperial Storm trooper at the emperor retreat.
/sits back to here the swarm of rebel locust decending on the location.
Now if I could find 1 orange rug part I would be happy

It's a good idea. I'm not too fussed about the reward as I like to get decorations for my house - for those who just want to sell the completed itemsI'm sure they'll go for 6k on the bazaar or more on a vendor.
However the drop rates do need to be increased. I looted a blue rug thread from a Nightsister seninel (I think, maybe a ranger) and despite killing many pirates and mercenaries on Lok last night got nothing.
Please up the drop rates slightly - not enough to make it doable in one night, but a little more than it is now.
Just wanted to point out that the adhesives ALONE are going for 1 million credits....
no - these will not be available on the bazzar for 6k anytime in the near future.

Were you able to locate the Junk dealer in the main guild hall? -
-
No found him loitering in the streets. -
Have you tried to complete a loot kit? -
Yes, I am "trying".
The drop rates really need to be addressed. The kits are possible to finish but only if you already have a large bank account and can afford to pay the asking price for the bits you do not have. Or have a spare lifetime to spend in game!
I do not think they should be easily found, but they should be assecible to all rich or poor!

whilst a welcome addition to the game, the rareness of the loot being dropped has only served to over inflate the economy of the game on Chimaera even more, if it wasn't bad enough that resources were being sold for ridiculous a cpu, you now have loot components going for equally stupid figures... for the casual gamer this is madness and makes the game virtually unplayable.

Is it just me but are the drops even more rare now? I haven't seen a part in a couple days... This is not worth doing now, I think its totally broken...
Every time I get board I figure, what the heck, lemme try for a lootkit part but after an hour I get totally bored with no drops whatsoever. I guess I'm at the point ofgiving up on this new non happening content.
In over an hour time the only thing I seen drop is two wooden staffs and I am seeing nothing on the corpse way more often then normal. I think someone broke it entirely now.
How about letting us know when you fix this cause I have a real problem when I think I been wasting my time on broken stuff. Oh, and do you have any idea how many quests are broken because the quest NPC at the other end is thug factioned? That one really trips my trigger.
I feel like I'm paying my monthly fee to just wait now because so much is broken... If I wasn't a crafter I would have nothing at all to do. Can you fix this silly lil loot kit thing so I have something to occupy me till JTL?
