Where is our "improved communication," i.e. w ere are our responses to the hundreds of issues and requests that have been made since these roudtable "discussions" went live?

My list of bugs:


1. Harvester animations still not working. That is a working harvester has no animation unless it is one of yours you just turned on. Are the devs aware of this? Is this done on purpose to reduce lag or is it a legit bug?


2. Vehicles not always appearing in same spot as playerwhen you /dismount them. I suggest that you add code to have the vehicle position update to the player position when they dismount.


3. Vehicles disappering after you get them repaired. Has this been fixed yet? As of right now you have to store the vehicle and call it again after repairing it to make sure it does not disappear. I suggest you need to add code that stores the vehicles updated data after it is repaired, without the player actually needing to store the vehicle again in their datapad.


4. If a vehicle does disappear after repairing it and you call it again, it has all the damage again as before you repaired it. Efectively the player has to pay for the same repairs twice. (Doubles what it would otherwise cost to repair.) Has this been fixed? Suggestion for fix in #3 will probably fix this one as well...

5. Meditate animation (praying position) now looks just like sitting. I don't even know if I am feeeling the proper effects of /meditate anymore!

Will anyone else agree that this is the most asinine part of the boards?

No communication, no nothing except now and then TH pops in and says something like "Oh I pass it all along to devs, I am doing it for you, I am here for you" and then some cop out on an answer.

And that is once every 500 posts.

Seriously DEVs and CSRs, if you are going to jerk us off, buy us dinner first alright?

On Pistoleer...


1. Do you think pistoleers will ever be able to use two guns at the same time? I think that would be great for the profession, because the whole idea with a pistol is that it's small and handy, so you would be able to use two. It would also be good considering that many weapons easily do more damage than a pistol.

This isnt Chow Yun Fat, it isnt The Matrix (thank the gods), and it isn't directed by John Woo.


I have seen 5 Star Wars movies and haven't seen anyone using two pistols at once, and I really do not think it has a place in the Star Wars universe.

I am begging for an update of information on a variety of the badged quests. Specifically and most important, The Hermit series of quests. The hermit does not spawn on most servers, Altruism spawns rarely, Honor spawns without the 4th wall and is so incompletable, and Courage does not spawn at all, or is somehow impossible to decypher if it does exist in some form. You, Thunderheart, specifically told us these questions would be addressed, on 11-05-03, "I have expanded the player correspondent program to cover all of the issues and they will get all be catalogued and dealt with," in this thread,



The exact details are further outlined in there.


In addition, we would like to know what is going on with the bugged Aquilish Cave POI.To sum up:if a person goes to the Aquilish cave before visiting Rori, then the badge received is the "Rori Spice Mines" badge from Rori, and NOT an Aquilish Cave badge. If that person then goes to the Rori Spice Mines, they do not receive a badge. If a person visits the Spice Mines of Rori first, they receive the Rori Spice Mine badge from the Spice Mines, but then when going to the Aquilish cave, they do not receive a badge.


This has the effect of actually preventing two badges: The Aquilish Cave badge, and the 45th Master Explorer Badge. There does seem to be a bug in which some people get a "stutter" on their 44th badge, that is, they receive the message that they get a badge twice (they do not receive a second badge, however). These people that "stuttered" on the 44th badge Do actually get the 45th explorer badge, even though they actually have only 44 badges. Not one person can prove they received the bugged Aquilish Cave badge. The 45th Explorer badge is always the result of a bug.


These bugs HAVE been reported, both by me personally in /bug reports, and by multiple people in the bug report threads. There has been, to date, exactly NO response from anyone other that your promise that it will be dealt with three months ago, and we desparately seek an answer of some sort to this issue, even if the answer is simply, "I see your post, but am constrained from commenting at this time."

put npc doctors,dancers,musicians inside of med centers and canitnas so that player can pay a large sum of money to get healed and possibly get buffed.

there has been many times that i have gone inside a med center or a cantina and have not been able to get healed because there was noone inside to heal me. i would gladly pay to get healed or buffed if it ment i could get back out there. this will NOT take away from entertainers or medics since the player will have to pay a Large sum of money to get healed or buffed.

A few Annoyances I have.

  2. The Stats Monitor always resets after logging out and logging in again, it doesn't show what it was set to when you last logged out.

  3. How do you tell if a weapon is sliced? - what does illegally sliced weapons mean (on the loading screen) - does it mean you can have a weapon 'Legally' sliced ?

  4. Why the big difference from Personal harvesters (BER 4) to medium Harvesters (BER10) +6 difference, but only +3 to BER13 with Heavies making mediums more cost effective?

  5. Why don't we bring in reduced maintanace costs with the survey tree in Artisan (like with merchant efficiency tree for merchant costs). Thus since everybody can place harvesters without having any artisan/survey skill it would cost more maintance for them to do it.

  6. Why does the Structure factory take 2 lots when all others take 1?

  7. When something attacks you it would be nice to know what it is, and why does it carry on attacking you when you are 100+ metres away?

  8. Why are there still SEA's that have no use at all still lootable?

  9. Does having spice in the bank count as an offence?

  10. Is a locked container that has been sliced to open it count as contraband?

that's my 10 rant's for now. There are a million more but some of those are the ones that annoy me most, or i haven't seen any answers to yet.
