I don't have to move my house because another PA started placing houses around my guild hall to start their city. Ihave to be in a city even though I didn't want to be in theirs... Thanks.


I had plans for a city, but now those might change. I liked Naboo, but Corellia gets way more business. I might move there to 'get away from it all' even though it's an uglier planet.


What would motivate me to join a city would be the fun of having one that I'm a part of, not those fake cities like Coronet orTheed (or worse, the less popular ones like every city on Corellia besides Coronet and Tyrena).


The cloning facility will be a big part of it, and the shuttle. I'd like to stay by my house if I get killed, not have to hike back.


Location isn't a factor, as long as it's not crowded by harvesters


Neighbors aren't a factor, as long as they're not trying to 'move in on my land' and conspire to keep the same guy mayor everytime.


Local attractions would be nice, but not a huge factor.


Faction isn't a big deal since I'm covert all of the time. If the city was all Overt opposite faction, and didn't like that I was covert, then I could just go neutral or move.


I would love to see how tax rates work, and a guide explaining everything about player cities (including small details). Get crackin'

Well, we planted our PA hall in the wilds of Corellia, 3.5 klicks out from the nearest city just so we could take advantage of Player Cities. We've had many of our members (especially the non-combat oriented ones) complain about the long, somewhat dangerous walk. But once Cities are pushed to Live and we get that shuttleport, I think the complaints about the location will stop. :-)

My PA has always held to this ideal. We have always had our PA Hall and houses where we are going to build our city. The nearest starport is over 4k away. Pain in the ass yeah, but we are ready to rock! Gimme that City Hall and Shuttle Port! Yall are welcome to come visit us in the remote desert of Tatooine for some great hunting (Krayts spotted often near our city) we also are located near several POI's.

We have quite a big player city on Intrepid in Tattooine, probably 15-16 buildings so far, have a mall, war room, PA hall, all sorts of stuff. We're 1700 or so out of mos eisley to the west

Remote player cities will be the ones that thrive. We have already built ours by the Krayt graveyard. Being able to offer shuttle service to POIs that are very remote will make these cities unique.

We have uprooted all of our homes from just outside of Moenia to move them 11,000M to the west in the middle of nowhere. Our intention is to indeed settle an area where not many go and build a shuttle port.

As a player that has sought to get away from the crowds as much as possible .... I'll go out .. presently our placement and city is about 2.5km SSW of Anchorhead and it will likely stay there.

I think you'll see the player cities in more remote areas. Already we see "PA cities" farther out from the mish mosh areas closest to the major cities. With official player cities in, it will make the remote areas even more attractive to the large groups than it already is. Independant types will still set up shop near the major cities to take advantage of the "city services" there.

I placed our guild and all buildings with a long term vision. We are currently 6000m away from the closest shuttle port. We placed it at this location because we believed it would be the best decision when player-made shuttleports finally are implemented.


Although I'm a little biased, I would hope that cities who are the farthest away from adeveloper shuttle port would require a smaller population in order to become a city, and also to aquire a shuttleport.

One question: can player city boundaries overlap with the "no build zones" of NPC cities, even though structures can't actually be built in the portion of the city that falls within the no build zone?

I would actually like to see my player city be built in a remote location. Access to shuttle ports should be part of the intial city though. i like the idea of only having some many with in a certain amount of space. Put cities should be able to develop away from the heavy traffic areas at the same time. I would think as time goes on and new updates come out more cities will be popping up all over the place.

Please make Tatooine houses buildable on Lok. I'm sure many many others would like that too. The Generic and Corellianhouses arejust plain ugly.
