Where are the Bantha's? The art for them is Already in game which proves they are being used as mounts for species other than Tuskens, go look at any of the hermit camps on Tatooine. What about CuPa's they are twins of Taun Tauns, one of the few species on your list that was shown in the movies of this time frame as a mount.

as far as i know u dont get banthas because they qare not supposed to be mounted by anyone but tuskens.

As u know tuskens have a special bound to them banthas and i think it would require something similar to be able to mount.

I do like the mounts but would be cool to be able to ride a panther. weaked speed!

and i second the question on mount speed, will the speed vary from mount or all are the same ?

also what other difference wil they have?

For today's Friday Feature, there are screenshots of all six player mounts. All of these are scheduled to be available in the next monthly update.

The final list for this first release of mount is:

  • Bol
  • Dewback
  • Kaadu
  • Falumpaset
  • Carrion Spat
  • Brackaset

Have a great weekend everyone! Next week's Friday Feature will be geared to the social players (the Events Team will be writing at least one Friday Feature article a month).

(side note: I'll update the Current Issues post on the Announcements forum in a couple hours with the latest updates)

Same question as everyone else really. When can we expect mounts like Bantha, some kind of cat like the Greater Sludge Panter?

Also does the current list include all versions of that pet type? Like Mountain Dewback = Dewback, Giant Carrion Spat = Carrion Spat and so on.

A moment of silence for the Banthas that never were . . .

Seriously now, who really wants to ride a Carrion Spat? And are Kaadu mounts built exclusively for Bothans and Han Solo? Those things aren't very big. Will they take damage when a Wookiee tries to ride them?

Hmph, looks like no one will be pleased till the friday feature is a free force sensetive slot and star destroyer for all players. I am quite happy with what we are previewing now. The video really rocked my socks.

I think the problem is that people REALLY REALLY wanted only 1 or 2 specific animals to ride (I only want to ride a Cu Pa), and so they were really anticipating the announcement, only to find their hopes dashed. It's like being a Pistoleer and an announcement comes up offering a new weapon for a Carbineer. That's nice for them, but where's my new toy?

Oh well, there's always Player Cities and Vehicles...

Does this include/allow variations of the creatures, such as a screeching(?) bol, or a mountain dewback? or just the regular creatures.

Will variations on the same animal be ridable? For example, can we ride mountain dewbacks or (for us wookiees, lol) giant carrion spats? Can we expect same-model creatures to be added to the list first, like bagerasets? Do tailors or armorsmiths need to make the saddles, or do they appear when they are trained for riding? Do they count toward your pet slots? What level is required to train them as mounts? Will this increase the BE selection of makable creatures? Will animals made by BE's go faster than tamed ones? When not being ridden, can the pets be used for combat, or are they strictly transportation once trained for riding?

Wow! Sure am glad to see that the CH profession is getting more love. I'm sure they were starting to feel a bit left out lately!

On a serious note, I guess I always thought vehicles would be part of the "mount" update and that they would give the Droid Engineer profession som love when it came to constructing vehicles. Guess not.

9 days until my account expires and every day I'm more and more confident that me cancelling was the right decision.
