TO ALL NON-JEDI ON LIVE SERVERS WHO ARE CONFUSED:
if you are confused on wether you will be a jedi padawan of TC2, just check ur test center's chat log to see everytime you logged in.
If you have logged in between May 4 and May 18, your TC character will be a padawan when carried over to TC2
simple enough, yes?
Not quite true. Only 200 of those who logged in during that period will be made padawan (give or take a few). You are in the eligble group if you logged in during that period. It does not mean you will be a padawan.

The new character you made on TC will be copied to TC2 and promoted to Jedi Knight as soon as TC2 goes live.

For the last two weeks, we have been flagging anyone who logged in to Test Center (the flagging is now OFF). When we copy TC over, any character that has been flagged will be granted the status of Padawan on TC2. Again, this logging is OFF, so please do not create a new character and expect to be a Jedi (unless you already have one on Live...)

TheLoneBowler before you start changing font size on your messages please look at all info that has been given out...
The word "Anyone" and "Any" does not mean "Everyone and "All"...
It could just aswell mean that you are in a lottery and "Any" of the chars there can turn in to Padawan.

Anyone: pronoun. Any person at all.
He is speaking english.
I don't know why this is so hard.
I would not be surprised if it was true that everyone that logged on in the time period didn't get jedi;however this is clearly not what he said in his post.

Does someone want to quote the dev post that said only 200 people? I don't remember seeing that one anywhere.

They didn't exactly say it....
Someone said it was posted on testcenter but what was on test center was a cut and paste from JustG's original post.
Theysaid they only needed a couple hundred, not that they selected a couple hundred. It is a misinterpretation of the followingpost, where JustG explained to people that had not loogged on in the last two weeks why they flagged people that logged on over a two week period:

To everyone that has been playing on TC, but had not logged in the last couple of weeks, our sincerest thanks, and apologies for not being able to include you. But with 55,000 registered players on Test Center it was tough to find the cutoff point! We need a few hundred... tops. We wanted very active testers for the Padawan strata and the quests to become Jedi Knight. We flagged a group of active Test Center players over a span 2 weeks. We did not give any notice because we did not want a flood of people who just wanted to check things out, and the regulars who play on TC are generally extremely helpful to us in finding and tracking bugs.

JustG said more info was coming soon, so I'm sure we will find out soon enough. No need to worry about it.
