For the bazaar limit, 3k is within easy reach of (most) newbies. 6k is more difficult. The first thing you would see is *not* items priced in the 3k-6k range, but rather stack sizes increasing to put everything up to 6k. It may or may not cause inflation in general, but it'll make it that much harder for people without a lot of money to buy things off the bazaar.

For the vendor limit, 150 is an arbitrary value and useless to nearly everyone. If you want to limit it, have different vendors cap it at different capacities. Put a 150 cap on the basic vending machine, and increment it upwards according to the skill of the merchant who placed it, with the "best" vendor maxing out at maybe 1,500 items, but costing more in maintenance. A tiered structure works much better than an arbitrary limit.

I like the second paragraph. Right now, there areonly two real incentives for Merchant skills in terms of vendors:

1. Increased number of vendors.

2. Increased ability to choose the "look and feel" of a given vendor.

With the second paragraph, Merchant skills would actually improve the quality of a vendor, as well. Combine that with the ability to allow Merchants to grant "placement rights" to other characters on their vendors, perhaps in varying quantities (in other words, formalize a system by which other non-Merchant characters could use Merchant vendors to sell items), and Merchant becomes a much more worthwhile class to master.

they arent worried about db size...they cant get the bazaar to page properly. all 150 items will be on one page...

Raise the minimum I see no need to do so it works good like it is and gives us the opportunity to promote visits to personal vendors as well as city sites.

Limit the Number of items on the vendor NO I dont like that at all the reason being because of the fact that I have 2 crafters and have the max number of vendors per character and some times it is better and easier to make a large run of some things such as food and drink that go so fast it would be a full time deal and no game time to just keep the vendor stocked.

I am totally against the limits to the vendors being set and think this will cause a lot of issues with crafters that want to craft and still spend time in the battle side of the game.

I for one may drop the venders if I cant keep them stocked due to the lack of space on them to just load them and be done with them for a Week at a time.

Also in the limit to the vendor
If we make a large run due to the fact that we are limited to a 10 lot per character option to make a home do harvesters not to mention the tents as well as if you do a guild hall. The PA hall takes all but ONE lot, which is insane in my opinion and is way to HIGH for the hall that is needed for your guild.

Now we have added the city options that require lots also factories that are needed to even make the stuff that is sold on the venders and bazaar. Where would we store the product that we create while we wait to add them to the venders if you changed the numbers allowed to add?

Are you going to give us more lots to add houses for storage to hold the items we cannot add to the vender?

If you want to change, limits look at the number of lots given to each character and the requirements it takes to some items such as the Guild PA Hall...

Bazaar Cap Increase : I Vote NO . . .

This will only cause more inflation.Instead please correct the amount of items we can place on Bazaars first by :

Place item caps on Bazaarsas per City and not as a whole. Allow us to travel to many Cities and place our wares for sale. This will bring people back to Cities that look like Ghost Towns . . . ( Why place my 25 items or what ever on a vendor on Planet Rori when I can just place them all in Coronet and know they will sell fast there) Give an item amount placement bonus for remoteCities in places like Rori and Talus and so on. Coronet is too crouded and yes it's nice to go there to buy and sell but we are pretty much forced to go there only.Doing this will somewhat bring life back into the not so centralized Cities. I've placed my STIM packs on Bazaarsat places likeRori and I shopped the Bazaar a few times while I was there. . . Guess what I found for sale there ??? NOTHING BUT MY STIMS . . . .

Item Cap Vendors : I Vote NO . . .

I got the same views about this as the majority. Make it more like 250 or 300 . . . If any at all . . . You know what ? Place a minamum cap on vendors . . I'm sick of waisting time to look at a vendor and nothing is there but """Thank you for helping me get my Merchant XP """" notations . . . . That is BS ! ! !

Are you capping vendors to limit Monopolies or to create Monopolies ? ? I'm confused If you cap vendors then the little guy that is on his own and unguilded will have no way at all to compete with people in large groups and or Guilds that have many many vendors set up in their Halls and tents that surround shuttle ports in Player Cities. Why should I visit a player's vendor knowing it's capped when I can just go to a Player Guild Hall and visit many many vendors of varietyin one spot. . .

Just my two cents . . I'm not flaming , just giving my view on it . . Thank You . . Excite <SABRE>

As to changing the bazaar limits, I would say yes. I would also recommend changing the cost to place an item on the bazaar, instead of charging a flat rate of 20 credits per item, charge a percentage of the asking price. eg. at 2% an item costing 500 credits would incur a charge of only 10 credits, while an item costing 5000 credits would be charged 100 credits. This way, there would still be a point to sell items cheaply, and venders would still have an advantage over the bazaar.

As to setting a cap on numbers of items on a vender, this is not necessarily a bad idea, but if so I would recommend that similar items could be grouped. eg. a merchant could place 60 identical weapon powerups in a vender. The vender then only displays the one item, but automatically restocks whenever they sell one.

BAD! BAD! BAD! BAD! BAD! BAD! BAD! BAD!

The thing that should be changed is all these people with Merchant vendors who are not Merchants.I am a Master Art. Arch. and Merch. In just furniture alone i keep ten of each piece of furniture i can make. Now with city stuff (streetlamps 16 different types) I spend a lot of time in the restocking of sold out items and dont want to spend all my gametime restocking. Please please please rethink this and dont put a cap on vendors.

Most Impressive.

The cap increase on global bazaars: good

Cap on vendor items: Bad.

I shall explain. As an Armoursmith you handicap me beyond belief. It takes 9 items for a suit. That means you capped me at 15 suits in stock. What if I have a range of suits, for ecum, resists? Where do I put bags holding suits for order? Do I need to have all my 6 vendors in the same shop? I am currently close to master merchant. You introduce this cap and you force me to stay master merchant. For those AS' with only one vendor you will hurt them badly.

Please reconsider this cap. Perhaps you might consider giving the merchant class more allure through this.

Thanx for your time

Bazaar increase, a GOOD thing

Vendor cap PLZ NO BAD BAD THING

I already have my max # of vendors (master merchant) 1 for misc items, 1 for vehicles, 1 for weapons (left over from weaponsmithing), 1 for medical supplies and spices, 1 for armor, and my hidden vendor for orders

if you cap me at 150 each vendor I will have to have all armor vendors.. or place 1 or 2 more houses to hold my stock and i will spend ALL my game time restocking, it is bad enough I am restocking daily to keep up with the demand on certain items cuz they sell faster then I can craft them, but if you limit my # of items at such a LOW amount I might as well get rid of merchant all together and just have 1 vendor for special orders and only sell that way. then maybe I will just be another holo hunter like 75% of the rest of the players (currently 3 masters, Artisan, Armorsmith and merchant and was not planning on changing a thing)....

I have never had a problem when planet hopping/shopping of finding a vendor that had too many items on it, and if someone has complained, they need to learn how to navigate My biggest problem has been empty vendors that are on the global map. If a vendor drops down to less then 5 items it should automatically be removed from the global map, it is a waste of my time to drive out to a vendor on a strange planet just to find out it was empty .....

The bazarr change... whatever 3k 6k, dont matter to me.

but.

the vendor change. i think is a very bad idea.... to me its just another stupid limit.

I understand needing to limit it perhaps becuase of overload but keep the limit at like 500 items or so. 150 just isn't enough!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

150 items JUST ISN'T ENOUGH!!!

Bazzar cap.... 6 to 10 K good deal........

Vendor Cap.... very good deal.... Maybe that way the merchants would keep their vendors better stocked. I have spent many days searching for this or that only to check 300 empty vendors. CAP THEM!!!

I'm sorry, but how will reducing the number of items that can be stocked on a vendor, thus making the vendor sell out quicker, help you to find less empty vendors? You'll find less vendors, I bet, and a higher % of the remaining vendors will be empty.
