$3,500 per day to fix a speeder isn't much if you're a master armorsmith or long time elite fighter or something with millions in the bank and a backpack full of speeder deeds.

But to the layman, like myself, ALL of our gameplay will now be devoted to either paying someone for the ability to drive, orspent all day RUNNING around the desert slower than molassus in winter.

Or being attacked by argoing creatures that can run faster than a bantha mount.

You can make 3500cr by going to Theed, getting two delivery missions to Moenia, and then taking two delivery missions back. Probably you canmake the same on other planets. 20 Minutes of your game time is the price you pay for using a luxury item like a speeder. If 20 minutes is "ALL" of you gameplay, then I suggest not using a speeder in the first place.

Running was the preferred ( as in "only" ) method of movement at release time, and most of us are still alive despite all those walking miles.

"Max Damage 33.3%/Mind Dam 16.6% Muzzle of Sigthing will not come out of the crate. I got the "This item has been removed from the game and should be deleted" message in an email.

Please confirm nerf or bug. "

I had a similar thing happen to me the other day, only with a buff pack. Are you sure your inventory isn't full? If you "split" a crate into 1 unit when your inventory is full, your inventory will hold 61 items, but the 1 item crate will contain an item that is forever unretrievable.

Can you see if you guys can find some OTHER means of fixing the harvester issue that people were using to beat high end monsters. Namely because as its implemented, this ROYALLY sucks.
Let me give you an example...

About two months into the game people were doing similar things. (This is back when it started up in June of 03.) They'd abuse houses, land, etc. Example was Dathomir's large hills and how people would abuse baz nitches and other things. They'd simply have themselves on top of a large hill, have the nitch in the valley below, and fire with impunity. To combat things like this, the dev's put the "warping" code in if monsters got stuck. They finally yanked this because it TOTALLY killed immersion and things would just warp off of ANYTHING.

Well, unfortunaly, the same thing is now happening AGAIN. Went to Dathomir, fought some Nighstsisters in a group with my guild. They'd hit a hill and INSTANTLY warp. No lag, no few seconds delay...they'd just warp 70-100m away. No one can shoot them at 70m, no one can even hit them with melee. (I'm melee...) This is ridiculous.

I run a faction mission, I'm supposed to kill some rebels. I swing my power hammer at them, they scatter...hit the wall and fling out 70m....I start hitting their flag, they all come running back and warp right into me. I swing at them again...and they warp off... do you get what I'm saying here? This is utterly and totally ridiculous. It doesn't just break immersion...it breaks the game in general. No other game I play does this. This game doesn't do it, until the dev's put code like this in...

Here's an idea...why not make harvesters....not solid?! Yeah, it hurts immersion level SLIGHTLY, but nothing like the warping issue does! It would be similar to how stuff in houses is treated right now as well.

I'm positive I had space. The crates were never split. I only got the email on the first attempt. After that it just failed silently.

ON ARMOR

Hello.

Is the team going to do anything about the fact that everycharacter (including Jedi) wears composite? What's the use of having all these neat types of armor whenonly onekind is used byan entire population (excluding Wooks)?

Each armor type should have strengths/weaknesses against the spectrum of damages inflicted in SWG. Current composite resistance capabilitiesare far superior to any other type of armor made. Is this how you want it?

Also, do you plan to make your upcoming death watch armor a big waste of time like RIS? Broken, shifting stats and loot camp madness?

Basically what I am asking is are you ever going to make armors like Padded, Mabari, RIS, Death Watch (Mandalorian?), Bone, and Ubese worth wearing or are you going to let the composite craze run its current course? Its kind of sad when everyone standing next tomy toonis wearing the same stuff, only in different colors.

No, its not how the devs want it. The rub is that with the crafting experimentation bug, everything is uber. To change that, it needs the crafting experimentation change integrated, but its been pre-empted due to popular demand. We're hoping to equalize that with the combat balance.

You know TH, I really disagree thatarmor is broken, or needs to be fixed. Honestly, unless someone is buffed to the hilt and pvping at the time, I RARELY see composite anymore.

Personally, I haven't worn composite in about 2 months...I have been wearing 75% kinetic ubese, as has about 50% of everyone I know, because it has high kinetic resists and really low encumberance. Kinetic is great for hunting creatures.

Almost every doctor I know wears padded armor, because it has decent resists and composite kills their ability to heal efficiently.

Composite is only good when (1) you have massive buffs, (2) you get lucky and get encumberance slices on all the major pieces, and (3) you aren't usijng many abilities or specials, and (4) you really need it, because it is expensive and wears out quickly. In my experience, most players savecomposite for special occasions because the buffs/expense cost a truckload, and usually use alternative armor.

The only armor that isn't used much is bone, and that is because it is crude and for newbies buying their first set of armor.

I think armor is great how it is...please don't screw with it, because you will just get it messed up...

I personally feel that armor in this game has gone very off-course from its original intention and is severely borked and needs a revamp - as TH seems to also agree. There are many great posts on this subject. The basic idea is that armor looked to have been designed so that different types would have different types of resists. Each would have different vulnerabilities also. None would have more effectiveness qualities and none would have less vulnerability qualities. All would have a max cap on effectiveness and there would be large HAM penalties for extra layering above the regular resist levels.

This way, there would be pros and cons to wearing each different type of armor.Facing most creature mobs you wear X armor type for the kinetic resist. When facing electricity damage mobs, you wear Y armor type for the electricity resists. When PVPing against riflemen, you wear Z Armor type for the energy resists. The downside of wearing X is that it is vulnerable toa few damage types. It's a fairly simple system that would encouragedifferent armor types, would penalize each with different vulnerabilities, and wouldaward each with different effectiveness types.

As it is, on my server Intrepid, any person interested in PVP combat or high-end MOB combat wears kinetic. Sure, most have ubese for grinding new profs on dant, but ubese is only kinetic, so as soon as you're done grinding a new prof by killing quenkers and want to go kill NS's, Genos, Tuskens, etc. or PVPyou are going to go back to wearing your 80% base, 39% stun armor because it is inpenetrable and is unrivaled by all other armor types.

I agree with you that our current buff system only enhance these problems, but invincible armor, that makes all other forms of armor useless is a problem that should be addressed. I don't like being able to solo any content in the game. No-vulnerability armor + huge buffs = invincible.

'Nother note: The constant vying for power in the struggle for combat balance and the hatred of nerfs causes player characters to forever be increasing in power in a system designed for less powerful toons. What ends up happening is players are so strong that any content can be easily soloed. I remember grouping in a large, powerful group to go to Dantooine to kill Graul Maulers. Now I go to Dantooine to grind out a new profession by getting into a solo group so that I can go solo Graul Maulers, Pickets, Kungas, Mokk Shaman, Junta Warriors etc etc.-all things that used to require a well-prepared group of fighters. Of course, I just go for savage quenkers cause, what else gives that much xp for the time it takes?

Cheers,

Interestingly, the nerf criers right now are screaming their little l337 d00d heads off, demanding that CM be nerfed, because CM poisons and diseases penetrate their composite armor and render them vulnerable again. Because their armor is NOT invincilble, CM must be nerfed. They MUST be completely self-sufficient invulnerable in combat gods...having to depend on a doctor for something other than a buff bot is unacceptable to this crowd.

If they are incapped, they scream "imbalance", because anything that renders THEM dead is obviously out of wack. They are supposed to pwn everyone else. Any other result is unacceptable to them.

The fact that they're laid low by what is, essentially, a "carebear" profession causes them intense pain.

Which I find to be utterly delicious.

Got this same message w/ 2 crates I have in mybackpack last night... one crate has 10 pu's and the other has 1... my inventory nor my backpack are full... andwhen you double-click on a crate in the backpack the item goes into your inventory. I used these just the night before... so I'd like an answer too. But I'm sure there'll be no more "roundtable" this week.... we're up to what... 9 pages w/ 2 TH posts???

Affect the Outcome of Act Three!
Is that:

Affect - Main Entry: af·fect
Pronunciation: &-'fekt, a-
Function: verb
Etymology: Middle English, from Middle French & Latin; Middle French affecter, from Latin affectare, frequentative of afficere to influence, from ad- + facere to do -- more at DO
transitive senses
1 archaic : to aim at
2 a archaic : to have affection for b : to be given to : FANCY [affect flashy clothes]
3 : to make a display of liking or using : CULTIVATE [affect a worldly manner]
4 : to put on a pretense of : FEIGN [affect indifference, though deeply hurt]
5 : to tend toward [drops of water affect roundness]
6 : FREQUENT

or

Effect - Main Entry: effect
Function: transitive verb
1 : to cause to come into being
2 a : to bring about often by surmounting obstacles : ACCOMPLISH [effect a settlement of a dispute] b : to put into operation [the duty of the legislature to effect the will of the citizens]

synonym see PERFORM

usage The confusion of the verbs affect and effect is not only quite common but has a long history. Effect was used in place of affect as early as 1494 and in place of affect as early as 1652. If you think you want to use the verb effect but are not certain, check the definitions in this dictionary. The noun affect is sometimes mistakenly used for effect. Except when your topic is psychology, you will seldom need the noun affect.

When there is time left in the day, I may open up the Bug Database and search for some easy to find and fix text bugs. I'm certainly no programmer, but it doesn't take much skill to open the text tool and change "%ST" to "%PT" or "it's" to "its".

Please open the website on occasion as well! J/K but really you need an editor with an english degree somewhere in there...

One thing I'd like to throw out is this:

Given that there will be an upcoming schematic that uses Nightsister Vibro Blade Units, and that Axkva Min spawns but once a day, has there been any thought given towards updating the loot tables for Nightsiser Elders such that they also drop these super rare vibro units?

I've personally killed her on 6 separate occasions and have yet to get motors. Lances, yes. Clasps, yes. Credits, yes. Empty, yes. Schematic, No. Motors, No.

Give me a break. Since she's the ONLY creature in the game to spawn motors, and even then not consistently, you've done more than gate them. You've blocked them from 99% of a given server population. She spawns once a day, so whoever gets her first gets the chance. That's just silly. Open up the loot tables to include elders before camping of the stronghold becomes more of problem than it already is.

After months upon months of outcry, begging and pleading from all professions on getting the database under control are we ever going to get a straight forward answer on crating and resource stacking?

During the past 7 months you, as a dev team, have put forth database limitations as the overriding reason for something not happening. Yet you still have not responded to the Architect Top 5 or Top 10 questions, both of which address an overwhelming compression to item storage in the database.

Specifically:

1. Crate EVERYTHING to 100 units. ESPECIALLY OMU's.

2. Stack all resources to 1 million units.

In this mad rush to development and deployment if you would slot these with a priority, or simply tell us why you will not implement these, it would go far.

Thank you.

One Little minor thing I would love to see fixed is the clothing problem, or I think its a problem. My Twi'Lek cant wear a Lekku Wrap yes he is male and yesI know they cant causeof that reason, butWHY NOT?Its just cloth wrapped around the head same as the twilek bone crest males cant wear that either. I hope you guys will think about this and decide to change it please. I dont think there should be a gender based clothingI mean its cloths you can pretty much wear what you want. I could understand if it was something that could not fit on someoneshead or something likebut lekku wrap is made for twileks, not just female ones so please fix this for us male twileks.

thank you
