Ok, just an idea here. A lot of people have made it clear that they are concerned about too many jedi on the servers.
My suggestion to this is to give the bounty hunters more of a chance against jedi and keep a severe exp penalty in effect for jedi that are killed.
It has been made so hard for master bounty hunters to kill jedi that I know alot of huntersthat don't even bother anymore. The jedi block just about every blaster shot directed at them.
So if sony and the majority of players are worried about a jedi population explosion than please give the hunters something to work with here. I know I was more excited to play a bounty hunter than I was of ever having a jedi. There are more of us out here than you probably realize that would rather hunt jedi than be one. Someone throw us a bone.

The real reason is likely that no one has asked a single thing that they didn't already answer. Just because you don't like the answer, or have difficulty understanding/comprehending it, doesn't mean it wasn't answered.

have 100+ badges
31 prof done.
still have yet to see old fart....
My freind who has 4 prof done did NOT have glow until they went too two poi logged in today and they get a visit from old man!!!!
Ok Dev's this is proof enough your system is screwed to all hell.

Argh! Stop whining please people!
I am glowy I hadn't had a visit, but now I am satisifed that the old man indeed is doing his work and the game IS workingthe way it was intended! Don;t you see they actually encouraging you to go about your normal gaming business, shut up, do some role playing and suddenly an old man appears. If you qualify, you will get there! just not all at once.. IF all went to the village at once that would break the atmosphere. it wouldn't feel plausible that suddenly half of starwars world becomes jedi and goes into this one little village on a remote planet.. It's a gae! remember? Not an electronic version of a queue!
So can all those who dissed TH for lying, have the decency to aoplogise as the man is starting to visit people who are eligible and indeed only 1 day has passed.
P.S. IS there a way to filter out just to see TH's post? I spent last 45 minutes scrolling through every page just to read what ThunderHeart has to say...

They haven't answered my questions.. Like where are the Sith, and are they even letting people in the village yet?

this is nuts ...i've mastered 19 professions when i type /check it tells meyou feel inner glow. the force is with you... my holos went silent after the 3rd holo... my friend has only mastered marksman and commando... and he has already been visited by the old man... how is he ready after the conversion with only 2 professions mastered..

Just an FYI, the majority of people don't RP in this game, that's not a normal gaming experience. And the majority of people are complaining are those that were forced to hologrind under the old system. That's their normal play style, and since there is no more hologrinding, they have nothing to do.They've mastered all the professions they can stomache, they've been around long enough to visit the four dungeons in game, there's nothing left to do, but continue working toward the end game they've been trying to achieve for a long time now. They've been waiting for months for this, and the devs misrepresented how it was going to be with what they put on test. That's what's got people so upset. Spend the better part of a year working toward a goal, then have the goal screwed up and gated at the last second and see how you feel.

you need..
5 'content' badges, which can be themeparks (jabbas,Emporer's retreat or Nyms) or Warren badges or corvette badges! *note: u dont need all, just 5 of the above
3 'Jedi' POI's, thats Bens house on Tattoine, the Jedi temple on Danttoine and the temple of Exar Kun on Yavin4.
2 'Hard' POIs, the Krayt skeleton on Tattoine, the Krayt graveyard on Tattoine,
and 5 'Easy' POI's (any POI that you get a badge for)

Somehow...I think many questions will be asked... but few answered... yet I shall post mine none the less.
First, I ask this. It says " While this new path is still a secret" - Why? Is this to help those who wish to spend hours searching through the forums to find out what that secret is? I'm already hearing what it is... badges... It is suggest that one is the Dant Jedi Temple - but I cannot do mine, since I am rebel and found the dark jedi guy first (which wants be to kill a rebel - although I suppose I could contract out), and of course started there... (guess I should have spent more time on the forums)
Also, why is it that often a small group of professions are more greatly rewarded? I try to run a balanced character, yet I seem to find the worst professions. TKM/Pistoleer - poor professions for the heavy hitters... (corvette, DWG, Genosian) I mean, anything with Medium armor... takes us out of it... on the solo part... although commando or rifleman/swordsman now that is a heavy hitting lineup.Medium with all three, and heavy armor pierce withrifleman. I happen to group up with a bunch of TKMs, or so it seems... should I be picking my partners based off professions, rather then quality of the person?
I say free jedi for everyone... for it would be the only thing fair... (oh... start whining all your grinders... because you choose to not play the game, but instead click away all day long... loosely speaking) Also, it's hardly fair to change the rules in the middle of the game... by adding professions to the list... I was late in getting to the grind, since I was CH/Pistols... and had a hard time killing storm commandos and the other most likly to carry a holo NPCs... forgive me for not being swordman / rifleman / commando or one of the other brawlers... and also forgive my wookieeness... for trying to compete with those who have 90% resist armor... (early into the grind)
Oh, and forgive my ingorance for not spending hours researching the forums... and playing the game instead... what a waste of my timeit is, playing the game... when I can research on the forums and save myself the time/effort.

That's the new system. You do realize that for the last 14 months people have been grinding out professions under the old system, and that the devs promised certain things to those people who've had to go through it, right?
