How about giving us a real traps, not just ones that do dmg to a critter without the ability to kill it, but real, deadly traps against both PC/NPC.

In addition I'd like a harmless trap that would actually "TRAP" the animal, deeding it and making it available for sale to someone that has the ability to tame it.

Backpacks, houses, safe deposit and inventory full of scraps of hide/bone/meat and plates is about as useful as **edit**'s on a bull. Yah, I got plenty to make tents out of, but unless I focus on one type of animal exclusively, wild resource gathering just fills up your inv with small lots of stuff that isn't really very good or even worth much.

A final complaint is the weak resource gathering bonus. Example, our recent hunt for naboo avian meat. After 4 hours of gathering, as MR I ended up with about 1K more than the others in my group which had no ranger skills. I don't see that as a significant advantage over the rest of the skill sets for an elite mastery.

Camps, yes, make them even more useful, not less, as u did with the last patch. You've made Rangers dependant on other classes, now how about returning the favor and making the other classes dependent on a ranger. If you won't give Rangers significant bonus to resource gathering, how about making it like a squad leader and others grouped with the ranger get a resource gathering bonus. Like we're there to show them how to dissect the animal properly and get the most from it. You put a game table in the camp, how about you let us "play" it and it heal up battle fatigue. Also as a Ranger I think I would prefer to "live" in my camp. Let's block the rain and give us some storage. How about a master level camp that is more like a house in that it can be folded back up and "redeeded", but provides storage bins that can hold 50-100 items. You could even make it fold up into a backpack and I have to wear it around when not in use. I'd say 100 because RP wise, a ranger should be in better shape than the average joe.

Change areatrack so that I can select an animal from the list and it's my current target. Make it so that areatrack is more beneficial than having a group of 4 on speederbikes doing loops around a known spawn area. Maybe allow us to specify what it is we are looking for and then having a percent to spawn the create when we track. That way we'll be hired as guides for big game hunts.

Drop all player radar down to 128 meters max range, so our 500 meter areatrack is useful, better yet, restrict non-scout/ranger radars and extend the areatrack range to 2k so we can spot the critter and the 4 guys on speederbikes can't.

PvP, ranger is absolutely useless. There is no benefit to adding the Ranger "elite" mastery to your character for PvP. Let's fix that please, so Ranger isn't something you grind through after getting scout so it won't show up on a holo...

Crafting... This doesn't make sense to me. I can only craft items that are useful to others that have the identical mastery and can therefore craft those items for their own use? How about a nice field base that we can craft and others can use, thereby giving us something nice to sell. Or a unique line of products made from animal resources that are useful to other classes. Like mixing bugs and meats and such and extracting something that is useful for docs.

Fishing... Change the fishing interface to something that doesn't cause carpal tunnel. Why can't I use the speed bar to control my rod so i don't have to read a menu and click, click, click, click, click until my wrist aches to catch a fish.

Sorry for b****ing, but I chose scouting/ranger because it seemed the most challenging mastery, having 3 distinct types of XP requirements, only to be extremely disappointed by receving only 2 new abilities and bonuses that are so insignificant as to be virtually invisible when compared to novice scout.

Been here, been there, done Ranger, dropped Ranger, mastered heaps of classes in between and some how came back full circle to this stunted profession. I myself went for pure harvesting power. To my dissmay it is not as benificial as I had hoped. I will however cling to this dying breed, in hope that we are adaquelty rewarded for being patient. I lay my full support behind the proposed OUTDOORSMAN GUIDE. The devs have without a doubt read this proposal by now. All we need to do is push with our numbers and they will follow suit. Force Be With You.

I personally would most like some feedback from the devs. Let us know what ideas you have. Where are you taking us? Do you have any plans? Don't even need to give us a timetable or anything, you can let us know it isn't written in stone. I just want to know we are getting attention and what we might have to look forward to... The worst thing is not knowing.... Right now the Ranger is like a sick friend in the hospital, you want to know what is going on with your friend. If the doctors just keep asking you what you would like to happen with your friend what your ideas are you start to worry that you friend has no hope. But if the doctor tells you what might happen or that he needs a operation but not sure how it will turn out. Eventhough there is uncertainty you are happier because you know something....

So please I am asking you, throw us a bone!
