Stupid silly boards!! Count number 4 attempt to post! Im glad Im saving to clip board! Its like they think everyone types 130 words per minute without mistakes.. /boggle

LOL.. These boards are so un user frendly.

I was writing, when to hit submit. GRRRrrr! Timed out and had to relog in which put me back to the msg area to type into. So i did so and copied it this time to clipboard just to be sure. Hit submit and again it said I had to be logged in.. LOL So I log in a third time and it defaults to the all forums page. So 4 more clicks and Im back here! So here is the post! Not much really...

I agree. They seem to be covering up with newer things to do. And those newer things are just novelties. Such as entertainer droids. Or the new holo ID designs.(histarically laughs, who thought of this one?)

Stat migration, this IS a feature statedas apart of the gameandwhich now your nerfing it from players? All professions? Itseven talked about in the tutorial I think as well to migrate your stats.

Hmm, and I still sit down and slide across the floor sometimes 15 meters. This bug made its way to EQ when they added in directx9.

From my experience as a full-time surveyer/harvester, I have to tweak my HAM regularly to accommodate for the following factors.

  1. The HAM cost per samplingof the resource.

  2. The HAM cost of using my stimB.

  3. The average healing to my Action bar from stimB.

  4. How much BF/wound I have, which slows down regen. (I do have to fight off random spawns)

  5. If I have been buffed.

  6. If I should accept or cancel the survey event to trade 300 action pointfor a chance of sampling the motherload.

With all these factors in play, I have been using statsmigration as a game feature almost on a daily basis. You may argue that when people get nerfed, they adapt to a new playing style. But on the flip side, if there is no enjoyable alternative, I might have to give up on the game.

Is this really such a big problem that lets you drop the game? I have done a survey here on the boards, over 70% of the people who stated they will quit the game, never have.

As I have multiple characters, and chars that come veryclose to your example, I have to sayto have a noticable difference in HAM usage you have to tweak your ham bars in a rate that takes longer than a day, otherwise you wont notice a difference. It takes a shorter amount of time to reduce your Battle Fatigue and wounds then to migrate your stats for compensation.

Really, almost everyone objects to this stat migration change, but will it still be put in? Yes, for the same reason decay was, a pitiful attempt at adding content. Everyone hates decay, always has, and probably always will, but it will never be taken out, and the ID situation will probably turn into the same problem. I hope they don't let it sink into the game, but we all know that it probably will...

ID publish was delayed because nobody was at work on Monday to insert it for Tuesdays server maintanance?

The fixes that went to test today don't warrant a delay, not after the previous publishes went live with bigger problems.

By the way, it was a pretty cheap shot to strip even Image Designers of the ability to migrate their own stats. Now not are they the only profession which has a stranglehold on acharacter designfeature, they are also the only profession that can't do for themselves what another of the same profession can do for them.

It would make sense if a Master Droid Engineer couldn't be bothered to make the low level components and took an apprentice to produce them for him. It even makes sense that they require components from a different profession altogether. It doesn't make sense to say that a Master Droid Engineer can only use a chassis produced by a different Master Droid Engineer.

Im loving that idea that ID'ers can only change the stats now Some people are pissed cause they cant do it them selfs and that they might have to pay people to do it for them. Well to bad other people have to pay for dumb things and now you get to Im doing Image cause i liked it and not cause it was a holo. i see people in the cantina begging to grind just so they can get the title and then drop it two seconds later. ive had it for months now and have been really happy with it, and now they are doing a patch so we can have more things. cant wait till it goes live on wanderhome

I believe a lot of people are now going to take up ID as a valid profession, rather than a grinded one, due to the changes, I myself have trained up quite a few in the last few days just because of it.

Those of you that are winging about stat migration, get over it... It is done rarely, and those who do it regularly, like deerstalker, either take it up as a profession or get buffed before you go off adventuring.

Finally ID has some real use in the game other than the whim.

The new ID tent idea is definately a winner!! It will also make the idea for changing your appearance more attractive to the average player and a central location will make pricing quite competitive for both migrations and makeovers..

So get out there and support your local ID and please stop whining like spoilt brats...

Well done Dev team, you got my support all the way!!

I thinkthe stat migrationchangewas an overzelous decision. The excuseis that it makes IDers more vital to gameplay. However, there is such a thing as being too vital to gameplay. The problem is that a lot of people make little stat adjustments, which the previous migration system was perfect for. What compunds this problem is the extremely few amount of IDers per player that are around. I've gone a few days with hours of sitting in Coronet, and never seeing an IDer show up at all.

In my opinion the benefit of allowing IDers to migrate as much stats as possible in only 10 minutes was incentive enough. Some people know exactly what they want and want it soon, and this is perfect for them. However, this sevrely hurts those players who make many little minor adjustments while they learn what works best for them, or are adjusting to their equipment needs. All this is going to do is make IDers so vital for their small number that they'll be flooded, making them even harder to find services from, making it even harder to get a simpel stat adjustment.

There have already been reports of IDers charging up to 50k per stat migration. This just proves that this change is completely and utterly out of hand. If the old stat migration system was still available then 50k would be fine, some people who really wanted a stat migration right that moment would pay it, but a lot of people wouldn't. However, IDers know they're rare, and they know they have a monpoly on a very vital part of the game, and they're abusing their position to economically exploit players out of their cash. Where does this leave all the new characters and more-so the new players who know even less about what their stats should be? How are they suppose to pay an outrageous 50k fee to change their stats around to see what works best for them, let alone change it once to what they want?

First to pay someone to stat migrate is stupid as hell. 2nd didnt the new player tutorial tell you how to do it. 3rd if you going to fix somthing fix CM's throwing 100m poisins i mean i can only soot 64 m but they can throw 90-100. I think they devs personally like some professions better. Look commandoes are COMMANDOES meaning high damage yet nerf. pistolers are nerfed they suck. i mean cm/bh/rileman ithey even nerfed creature handler. Aslo why waste half a day putting this patdch in that 75% of people will never use. Any way thats my opinion other may disagree thats fine.

I wish there had been as many blues added as pinks ... the old blue is still the only light blue for Twi'leks, sadly.

Are we supposed to not be able to migrate our own stats as IDs?

And how about a master perq of no timer since we aren't grinding to anything.

I love the idea of a stat migration in 10 minutes--but hate the fact that I can't adjust on my own as I have been doing to experiment and see what works best for me. This is mainly for my newer PC's on various servers--my main characters have not needed adjustment for several months as they have their stats adjusted to where they work well already and I see no need to change them atm.

That being said, I am going to change the template of one of my oldest 'toons and will be glad to get the stat migration fast. It is the newer 'toons I have created that only have about 5k in credits that will be hurt by not being able to migrate stats by themselves...this will be ruinous for new players that need to learn about stat migration to get the most out of the 'toon they have created.

I also don't like the way this was implemented with the timer--I had started doing ID on TC and now it has become a worse grind than BH and will take much longer with that timer slowly counting down from 2 minutes. I did discover a partial workaround--I set up another character and used him instead of myself--that made a huge difference in xp gained (100 pts. instead of 50)and this may solve my TC problem, but does nothing for the novice entertainer on the live servers. They will be lucky if they can stand the grind to even get to Novice ID--they will have to have VERY patient friends or open another account just to get to Novice ID without dying from acute boredom--not to mention Master ID.

Solution:

1) Reinstate player stat migration at the original slow rate.

2) Either lose the timer, or at least reduce the amount of time by at least 50%
