a poor crafters tale.



Ok I am a master doc and master artisan so no combat skills for me.


I go tend my factory just outside the city. Boom a group of swoopers spawn. I run outta there. no problem, just have to wait till later.


I got prospecting for organics, get a good organic, good conc. Drop 2 harvestors. BOOM a group of mauraders spawn. hop on my bike get out of there. Mind you I haven't even turned on my harvestors yet.


Keep going back and eventually get 1 harvestor paid, powered and up and running. hop off my bike to heal myself, POW the bike warps to places unknown (1K away according to my target indicator). Great now I gotta run there.


then prospect for minerls find a good conc again drop 2 harvs and BOOM swoopers spawn again!! Hop off my bike to heal myself and POW the bike auto stores.


**edit**!! way too much of a coincidence that everytime I went to check the status of someting aggroes spawned in place and my bike warped the hell outta there or autostored.


According to the CH forum Pets have had this problem since day 1!! When are you gonna fix it?

This morning I repaired my swoop bike, and when i logged back on later and took it out it was still severily damaged. I lost 5500 credits. I was wondering if any on else has had this problem?

please please please fix the missions payouts, I am sick to death of doing missions and them not completing so no payout, its the main way people earn money for heavens sake!

Please Decrease the Difficulty level of the SUPER battle Droid - For crying out loud we want to have fun - Take out the LOOT is you have too - Just make it so that your Player base can Kill these things. They are running outside the Bunker and it takes 15-20 minutes for 10-20 guys to kill them. Really, whats the point of playing like this? At least the Krayts offer a reward.

agreed... sbd's are too hard, and everyone has been yelling that at you dev's since they were introduced... and yet you seem to keep making them harder and harder, thinking it funny...


also apparently the quests for the dwb that are supposed to reward you a jet pack piece.... cause currently all they seem to give is 30 faction points.. lame considering how much work you go trough...


another thing you need is more people on the forums... people that actualy listen, and report suggestions to the proper people so it can get changed.... TH, your the only ive ever seen post really, and no offence.. half your posts give us no information... actualy make that 99.9% of them... keep the players informed, and listen to what they have to say.... its becasue of them the game will succed or fail... right now its failing bad, and its getting on everyone's last nerve.....


also the ammount of bugs has gotten unacceptable, and none of them are being fixed, and all you say is "we are working on it" ....... try actualy proving what you say.... actualy fix something.... once jtl comes out, seriously just drop whatever plans you have to ruin the game with a dwb 2 and just stop and actualy read throught our suggestions, and fix whats wrong.... try it for just a month, the players will be happy your fixing stuff, and we will stay.. and perhaps tell our friends that already quit that the game is actualy good now cause its fixed....

It really does seem stupid that there is no randomize loot toogle for group leaders. I rarely group anymore becuase it is an exercise in futility if you actually want loot. I refuse to ninja loot, and I refuse to tag /loot onto the end of all my combat moves. All this current system does is promote soloing and exploiting so you can solo. I hope the combat revamp will address the grouping loot issue or people will simply find other ways to continue soloing no matter how hard the dev's drop the nerf bats on us. I play a doctor/CM and I DON'T group... Thats really sad. I play these games for the group interaction (I always play healers in MMORPG's) and if was not for the amazing guild I am in I would have quit long ago.


If grouping is going to be manditory in the revamp at least make grouping with FVCKTARDS less disgusting and cut throat than it is now. Every single griefing area where groups vye for kills to see who can do the most damage should be instanced. Krayt gravyard, Geo dungeon, Aerva <---nightsister queen whatever her name is, and every other place where a group can go and have to grief another group just to get loot should be instanced. Short of removing FVCKTARDS from the game, this is the only thing that can make SWG less cutthroat and grief like to the casual gamer.


For what its worth, I will be attending the Fan Fest with my wife and I intend on bitching non-stop about making classes necessary and uniquely usefull to groups in the combat revamp (in the few minutes that I manage to stay lucid and uninhebriated). **edit** balancing the classes, it will never happen.All combat, healing, and entertainingclasses need to be usefull and engaged in a group situation. <--- That one statement should be the matra of the combat revamp, balancing is for the P vs P GCW revamp. I think you will quickly find that balancing P vs P will best be done by applying seperate multipliers to P vs E calculations than for P vs P calcualtions for each class like is done for every other MMORPG. Alsoloot needs to be devided randomly amongst group members if we are going to have to form groups to kill hard stuff. There should be multiple options for distibuting loot supported by the game that the group leader sets before the hunting begins with random set as defualt.


Random loot, everyone in the group can loot but the loot is distibuted randomly to group members.


Designated loot holder. One person gets all loot to be destributed however the group sees fit


Lottery. All loot goes to the leader and numbers are rolled from 1-1000 for each group member for each item looted highest number gets the loot for the group memers that want that item.


Current system for people that would actually want to use it.

Ok, from your original post I did not think you were saying this. You're right in this case. IF you are insured any factional death PvP or PvE should not have the penalty of decay. I misunderstood what you originally said.







/shrug, maybe thats why the CSR said what he said. But I'm still not impressed with CSR. I have only gotten help from one once, and it was for a previous problem the original CSR couldn't help me with. Remind me again what we pay $15/month for?

OK TH, I think you need to reply here. Seeing as this is not a round table of any kind. You posted 2-3 times in the first 2 pages, and we have gotten to 7 pages. On our own. Yes we round table amongst ourselves but that's not the point. The point of the wonderful great new communicatin channel between SOE and players is not happening here.


I realize today is the last day of this post. The last dev post had better not be, "OK we are locking this post to start the new round table." Otherwise you will find me spamming every WRT thread asking you to reply to this one, and every other one where players asked for your comments for 5 pages of posts.


You generally do a pretty good job, but lately I see your posts being more of a political stance. You have become SOE politician. And in my eyes, politician = speaks for 30min and says nothing.Is that how you want the community to see it.


If nothing else come on here and say you mis-worded the statement, or clarify, or even tell us we took it exactly how you meant it. Do your job and talk "with" us not "at" us.

yeh group looting needs revamp.... though i say do it the harvest way.... make it so everyone can loot it.... with harvesting everyone can harvest the hide.... do that with looting... i mean, the loot is already sucky, at least alow us to get alot of loot... think about this too.. if you loot coins, its split and you get almost nothing cash wise, but if you get an item, its all yours... make it so if bob loots, he gets all coins or whatever item he got, then joe can go up and loot, and get his own coins or item... end the annoying way it is now...

also.. with this upcoming combat revamp... please tell me your also revamping your sbds... if you dont, your gonna recieve hell from the community.. if we all get nerfed, how in the world would we stand a chance against things that are already hard if you even act cheap and spam certain specials, and wear the best armor and use the best weap you can get....


if we cant have armor above certain points, creatures shouldt have it too.. if we cant have weapons that do 1k damage every second, they shouldnt either.... also right now with buffs, your ham is gonna be around 3k probably, depending on how you have your skills set up.. now how much ham does the sbd have? how in the world does it have that high ham? did it get like five billion buffs? seriously.... oh.. and i say the sbd's are being cheap and double slicing there armor.... or 1000 time slicing....!!! i should report them... hmm.... *logs on to go report sbds for cheating*

DEVS, fix the slingshoting already!!! I'm sick and tired of being warped 100m-500m away from my bike every other time I dismount! WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO FIX THIS???


Also, make players non-attackable while they are loading. Recently I took a trip to the Crystal Hunter Cave. Got about halfway through and realized I needed better armor or buffs. I left the cave, and headed towards the small imperial encampment 100-200m away. Logged out.


The next time I logged in, when the loading bar hit about the halfway mark, the combat music que's up. I'm thinking to myself, this can't be good. Sure enough, when the game had finally finished loading, I had been logged back in to the crystal hunter cave, right in the middle of a spawn of FS NPC's!! Not to mention the fact that I was dead from not being able to defend myself or run away from being attacked while the game was loading!


Make a globalfeature, just like whenTEF, that you cannotattack/be attackeduntil maybe 1 minute or so after YOUR computer has finished loading the game.

TH, you remember how heavily populated the servers were in the weeks after launch?


I crossed the Agrilat swamp on Corellia on the Ahazi server tonight. It was, with the exception of a couple of mission lairs I picked up from the player city of Toyland on the western edge of the swamp, devoid of life.


In the first two months after release, I was in the Agrilat a lot. It was always filled with critter spawns and lairs; swamp humbabas, giant carrion spats, agrilat and plumed rasps, swamp gurrcats, Greck minions, meatlumps...all sorts of mobs.


Now, with the load on the servers being "light", you go into the Agrilat and it's empty?


I am not buying this "it's because there are a lot of people on the server" story. I crossed the Agrilat tonight on a dewback. Even the plains west of Doaba Guerfel, which as recently as a few weeks ago were filled with lairs of gurrcats, paralopes, vrelts, and gubbers, was virtually empty.


Something else is going on here. There are fewer players on these planets now than there ws just after launch, and there were more than enough mobs for everyone then, with mission lairs being spawned as well as the natural "wild" spawns, with or without a visible lair.



I tend to think that the instanced dungeons would take up a lot more server resources, since there are so many copies of the dungeon at any time. Maybe they had to scale back MOBs on other planets to make room for more instances of the Corvette? Or maybe some other technical issue. Still, I wish there were more instaced dungeons. I wish they would instance the Warren. Well, you know what they say, wish in one hand...

•Armorsmith protection layers were not converted with the CU.
•Ship Details window does not close when you click "Travel" resulting in the message "You have lost the target. Closing interface."
