why no bantha's?
Of all the creatures in the world i've seen mount bantha's parked in cities, along with seeming them in the wild with tuskans, it would have seemed they were along with eoopies one of the most used mounts.
Also am I the only one that remembers the "in development mounts - Bantha, dewback, and ronto" as the main ones?
kinda disappointed because i had my dewback all ready to go for a mount , now i gotta drop a pet to get a mount.
least we have mounts now though, guess i can't complain.
wow it seems they managed to pick the 6 least interesting creatures as mounts, lol. heres where youre stupid polls would come in handy. poll: what creatures would you like to see as mounts? ...etc.
i was looking forward to riding a gsp or one of the faster moving large cats. theyre cool lookin, they move fast and dont have annoying footstep sounds, and oh my god the dewback type creatures (ya its all cookie cutter incase you havnt noticed) make me ill. *makes dewback sound* just to remind you of how bad it is.
someone had a brain fart....again. i dont think a single person had any one of those 6 creatures in mind save for the dewback cause it was mentioned and in the demo and seen in the movies. but seriously, first the worst patch in gaming history and then an announcement of the 6 dumbest creatures you can ride...lol.
i can hardly wait to see how combat works, whether you have to jump off first or if all new accuarcy mods will be implemented...etc. and if you have to dismount can you still be attacked? oh im just shivvering at the thought of silly new game systems, bugs and the like this is gonna bring. will i be able to ride my mount into cantinas and med centers? i hope so, there arent enough creatures and clutter in there already.
You can fight on mount-back, you just can't use specials. They're transportation, not war-horses. 
I've got only one thing to say to those bitching . . . you don't like 'em? Don't ride them. But my group's not waiting for you to catch up.

*smack* last time i checked, us 'ungrateful spoiled brats' were the ones paying for this game on a monthly basis. we will complain and whine and criticise as we see fit. if there is another medium to voice our opinions about the game and its development as a community where the devs can 'hear' us, by all means let me know and ill go there, so you dont have to hear it.
obviously havnt played since the patch.....or maybe youre just super oblivious to all of the games downfalls and very easy to please.
face it dude, its just another rushed game system. cookie cut the 6 easiest creatures and away you go. still have yet to see the point of mounts as this game really has no where to go, lol.

Personally, this is probably the coolest thing to happen to SWG yet. I'll use every single one of these mounts, and look forward happily to every new mount release.
Has anyone ever bothered to think that just because you pay for something you aren't entitled to control it? Take taxes for instance. Since we pay taxes, should we have complete control over the government, and if they do something we don't like, can we go to Washington D.C. and cry 'nerf!' and expect them to completely change a policy on the basis of a few unhappy people?
No. The devs make the game, you pay the fee to use their servers and their bandwith and pay their maintainance costs. You pay that so you can have the ability to play the game, not develop the game.
Community support/interaction is essential for an MMORPG, but there's a fine line between constructive criticsm and crying 'Nerf this 'cause this is borked!' all the time. If you want something done really, really badly, try doing it a mature and constructive way. You want to influence the future choices of mounts? Start a thread for that petition, and get the attention of the developers, by either waiting or e-mailing them. Show them the most popular choices, the ones the community is dying to see/ride.
