TH-
Would you be kind enough to come to the Architect forum and tell us why our question got dodged?

Actually, you got one of the clearest answers : No.

While I too was slightly dismayed by the crate question answer, the one about resource stacks was pretty cut and dry.

For those of you who weren't in beta, the stack of resources at 100K may not seem likea lot - but when you realize that initially it was 250/stack (two hundred fifty, like the number between two forty-nine and two fifty-one) 100K seems like a lot (like, 400x more).

100K is more than adequate for resource stacks. However, I agree that something needs to be done about crates. I know TH isn't a crafter, but he needs to understand what it's like to manage so many subcomponents in factories. Before he says anything else about this topic, I would hope he'd polp down some factories, dial himself in an elite crafting profession on TC, and see what it's like. Make a set of Advanced Droid Brains and see how much stuff you have to deal with.

Crates and storage go hand in hand - we are forced to make tons and tons of crates because of the low volume in each one, yet we have to set up spare houses and exploit factory input hoppers just to do regular runs.

From TH's answer about the crates, I believe he just doesn't understand what it's like to be a crafter. If they ever change it back to 100/schematic, playing would just be worthless for most master crafters. Baby sitting a factory and having to refill it every 2-3 hours when doing a large run would drive most of us out of the crafting game for good. Here's hoping that someone on the Dev team actually plays a crafter and understands.

Please tell me the much talked about "Veteran Rewards program" is more than special emotes. That would be very disappointing.

And I'd hate new emotes in the game that I cannot use because I am no veteran. :-(

I have NO problem with veterans getting 10 Million Credits or a JetPack or an armor that blocks everything, but I really would not like to see roleplaying stuff in the game not available to ALL.

Please rethink that. PLEASE!

Actually, I really disagree and I think most people would.

Roleplayers are playing the game like anyone else, and many veterans are roleplayers. They deserve rewards for their playstyle too.

The point of the veteran rewards program seems to be to reward those of us who have stuck by the game, and to provide incentive for people to stay. Just like a combat player will look forward to whatever veteran rewards apply there, so will a roleplayer look forward to getting new emotes.

You know, if I or most people who work in the real world ever gave a customer an answer like this we would be fired or at the very least given a very severe warning that this was not acceptable customer service.

i understand completely how he says "no" and "maybe someday' on a lot of these issues. Makes perfect sense. However if they arne't fixing these things, what are they doing? Adding MORE things that will probably need fixing. I'd rather you stop taking suggestion for new stuff at all, don't worry about these combat balances / GCW changes and fix what is there NOW. If these big changes and balances fix all the problems, then yeah it's well worth the wait....

but will they?

ok, nice TH. A tip for ya TH, when we CHs give the Q for next week, please don't give the 'wait for the combat revamp' explaination, we are all tired of hearing that.

I'm also glad that you posted the answers, those on the CH boards were beginning to think you weren't gonna start it back up/

Let's consider this idea for a moment. If you, Thunderheart, were to make up the 19 questions for usin light ofgiving us 19 positive and exciting answers (in your own opinion), do you think that you would be able topull it off? I suspect that the answer is no, but I haven't given up hope.... I'm still paying my subscription fee.

Just thought I'd throw two really good comments in here for the architects fourms.

Although I didn't write them, I support their content and wonder if we're ever going to have an advocate as all I see is someone that fundamentally doesn't understand two really simple questions in a row from our community.

Well, we asked question #1 and got back an absolutely worthless vague answer.

So, we asked question #2, which really had 3 parts to it (all related). We got a definitive answer on the first third - "no, because we said so".

I'm not sure our batting average is really improving. At a personal level I'm not sure that trying to come up with any questions is worth even 1 second of my time.

I've worked for several companies with extensive customer service departments, and a set of answers like that to paying customers would have resulted in someone taking a long walk off a short pier very quickly.

I can only agree with ZenDragon. Next question should maybe be

'we find it a waste of time asking questions, we may be coming across as sulking schoolchildren, but frankly there is no point, we spend weeks deciding on an appropriate question to ask, you spend 5 minutes giving us the wrong answer, so the question we have is - Why bother? '

Hopefully for the Friday Feature this week we'll get some info on the upcoming Combat Balance as it seems it shall work out a great deal of problems. With Pub 10 not too far away now I think I speak for the general masses that some information about this seemingly game-changing publish. I have long supported the Combat Balance and have confidence the development team is taking the time to ensure this will bring a more well-rounded experience to the game. Thus I can see why most of our 19 Questions relate to it.

TH, you mentioned that RIS armor will start to shine after the Combat Balance hits in what we still hope is Publish 10. If possible, could you expand on that? A great many of us would glady accept all the information you are allowed to give us regarding the upcoming Weapon and Armor changes in the Combat Balance.

Thanks TH.

A thought on the full stomach after death thing:

I understand that you can't make it automatic due to some foods actually not kicking in until cloning, and that you want there to be some sort of penalty for Death. How about making the /puke command actually make you puke? Make it so that using that command empties out your stomach, clears any bonuses you're getting from food/drink and gives you a 4 minute downer like spice. This solution would address all issues and make everyone happy. For the Devs: stomach doesn't automatically clear after death, if the player chooses to clear their stomach, they still incur that penalty for Death. For the players: They will now have the option of clearing out their stomach after death. Everybody wins.

The First no: Mfg items running at 1000 as a bug. Ummm ok, that still doesn't answer the fact that some of the items in architect come out in illogical crate counts of 5... yes... 5. I rarely if ever produce those items in 1000 count but geez in order to be effective I have to have some on hand. You cannot tell me that a crate count of FIVE is logical TH. As for resources in larger tan 100k qty's? Bah I can live with that. Crates are almost 98 % of my storage inventory and that sir annoys me to no end. STANDARDIZE THE CRATE COUNT! Pick a number, preferably not 5, BUT GOOD LORD PICK A NUMBER!

The entertainer no, ummm Doc's and medics do not get xp for healing or buffing themselves. Nor do entertainers for healing their mind wounds or BF. So are you talking about straight dancing or playing xp here TH? I can accept a no answer but your explanation for no was less than logical in my mind.

Artisan no. I'm lighting incense in honor of your no as we speak.

Chef no Eh not a answer I like but at least I understand the logic unlike the first two.

Dude... Doc's... who the HECK cares about Endor birds? How about standardizing the packs to either all avian meat or all general organic. I hope this was the question TH pulled and you had better ones.

The rest... eh.. I'm too tired after getting worked up over these no's.

Howdy,

RIS armor the equivalent of epic quest armor.

Funniest thing ive ever heard. Epic quest mean the item would have to actually be any good. For the work involved RIS isnt any better than composite. Oh boy it looks different but how does looks make this armor EPIC.

All items in this game are possible the most bland and boring items to ever be called loot. Which i think is why the game carries a 90% yawn factor.

Have a great day,

Chalyck
