Give the guy a break, I'm sure he's up to his ass in crap for publish 9, but an update on when we're going to see the answers would be good.
Note to devs: don't promise anything on agiven date until you're certain you can deliver on that date, keep it vague until you know EXACTLY when you can deliver.

Just one question for the poor suckers out there in transition...It said on the release force sensitive unlockings are still possible under the old profession mastery system. Do you get a message if you unlock, or do you have to master everything and just wait to be sure?

Now all I wanna say is if they had to take a new question from Rifleman because our submitted one was toolengthy (read: Unable to dodge with "Wait for Combat Balance") to answer in one session, this 3 week delay better damn well have given the time to answerour original question inone session.
If the reason for the delay is the original question, the Rifleman community apologizes for the delay.

Thunderheart wrote:Test CenterThe regular Test Center Denizens are wanting a post from yourself or Rogue_5 or even JustG about the state of TC1's chance for a similar wipe and rollback from when the patch originally hit it. Is there any plans to revert TC1 as well?
There are no plans to wipe/re-roll *all* characters on TC1. It is almost written in stone that we shouldn’t wipe the server because players would lose a lot of hard work and effort. If you are asking me about Jedi Characters though, we will be manually fixing any FUBAR Jedi templates for you.
Weaponsmith
Are stun weapons going to see a major rebalance within the future?Yes. Stun weapons (particularly stun batons) were never intended to be “the weapon” that everyone wants because it is the most effective. SWG’s weapons were always supposed to have a variety of useful and efficient weapons available, but here again, with all the tweaks and changes over the last 8+ months have caused a series of imbalances. This is definitely something that will be looked at during the combat balance.
Ok, I don't understand either of these. In regards to test center, all players were warned that because this is a "testing" center, that all players were subject to the possibility of being wiped for testing purposes. Now you are saying that you wouldn't do such a thing because of how hard people had worked to achieve what they have. Would it not stand to reason that had you announced at launch that Test would operate the same as any server, with the exception of having content added and removed at various times for testing and the server availability being lessened for patches, that more people would have signed up? When did you guys change your opinion of test center being something more than a "test" server?
As to the weaponsmith answer, I first want to thank you for calling me and so many of my friends "exceptionally smart" in regards to pushing items beyond their balance limits. However, i am afraid we cannot accept such accolades since it was programming stupidity and a tremendous lack of foresight that allowed such things to happen. You see, we know that the better the stats, and the more experimentation we have, the better the product. You have done nothing but give us more and more supplies with which to use simple reasoning abilities to "break your game". The results are not our fault for being so smart, but the dev team and programmers for not listening to players who are actually playing the game. The system is operating exactly as you intended it to for the time period you intended it to. Quit blowing smoke at us like we are young Oliver in the food line saying, "Please, sir, can I have some more?" If we are "exceptionally" smart, what does that make you guys, exceedingly stupid? No, that dog won't hunt. Grow some cojones and answer the question with truthfulness. You may not have intended stun damage to become the weapon of choice, but you sure handed it to us on a silver platter with the addition of acklay bones that increase stun baton power and sonic geo blasters that allow for a better weapon than the tangle. the one thing you did right was the amount of krayt tissue required to make a solid jawa ion rifle.
Thank you for not publishing formulas and numbers. The exceptionally smart friends I have would surely send the entire game back to the drawing board when they destroyed all your algorithms. I mean, who ever would have suspected that 2 + 2 actually equals 4...

Asmith wrote:please, why do we have to wait 10 minutes for starports? it is very frustrating. if i want to go home to dant to pick up an item, then back, this can take up to 40minutes. I estimate that, in average days play I'm waiting for shuttles about 30 -60minutes, thats around 100 hours since i started playing last november!!! I know the shuttle waiting times have been reduced to 5mins, but I also know theed is 0 minutes. Is there: 1.) a genuine technical reason for this, or 2.) "it gives u chance to rest and talk to other players", or 3.) you think its funny. 4.) statistics show that.. if everyone has to wait x amount of time, they will not complain that much andgladly payfor the extra time they have in the game.If it is 2.) then my opinion, and that of absolutely anyone else I have spoken to about this, it that thats just wrong. if i want to sort my inventory out i'll do it when i feel like anyway.. I'm pretty sure it's not 3.)4.) really wouldn't surprise me lol.
if it is a good reason like technical measures, then please ease my mind.later,Asmith
chill, dude. when you get your own spaceship you wont have to worry about shuttle wait times or buying tickets.

I just read all the questions and answers. Does anyone else feel these answers were just thrown together in a rush. ya ok so its not the answers people wanted to hear but its just weak!
How bout Questions Like Repairing Armor and Weapons, any upcoming changes and what is the probability of repair of weaponsmith vs. non weapon smith. AND/OR do repair tapes work? How bout some useful answers guys, no offense, i just felt this stuff was weak. And stuff not coming out till after JTL, man that really disheartens me, thats months away jeez..
Bah what can ya do, all i know i see more and more accounts on ebay every day lol. its a real shame to see people quittingi guess.

how bout this questions also which is simple enough to answer.
Is there any plans, in the near or upcoming future or post JTL launch that there will be more Factional/Rebel/Imperial Clothing?
Imperials seem to have a good mix already ingame, Tie Suit, StormTrooper Armor, At-At Suit, Imperial uniform, etc.
What i would like to see is Perhaps dark trooper armor, maybe only wearable by the highest ranking imperial rank or at master level of some profession perhaps.
Also would like to see more rebel clothing perhaps, Maybe a return to the jedi commando endor outfit (how bout fixing the helmets so they drop again lol please!!!) or how bout some other type of higher end armor that doesnt really need to be functional but just for looks even
Like right now obviously all factional armor is a Joke, no one would wear it seriously expecting to PvP or fight in a battle etc. 30% resists? i can get mabari up that high probably hehe. Its all just for looks, which sure thats the way it is fine. But Consider This, SWG is still a ROLE Playing Game, Its kinda hard to play a role when your options for clothing are so limited to neutral type clothes. Even if the armor Doesnt have the right resists, How bout just adding it into the game with the same resists as is now. And Maybe make it somewhat quest based, but a quest that can be solo'ed at least by a higher level profession (unlike mando DWB armor lol, please nothing like that at all). How bout making a storm trooper shouder pad/bicep that can be equipped, the one in game now is a chest plate with it built in but cant be equipped.
I understand artwork is a problem for that, some people have "fat **edit**" characters that when they equip the armor it needs to stretch out all over, im sure thats the major challenge anytime making any type of armor. But At least consider it, People really dont want/need functionality of the armor at this point, they just want some sort of role playing toys.
There is one solution, Make These new armors craftable by tailors, Rebel Tailors can craft rebel armor/helmets/commando ponchos, imperial tailors can craft stormtrooper/darktrooper armor. Throw them a bone, armorsmiths make all the serious money in the game so dont give it to them, maybe make a requirement that it needs some armor layers or something. EVEN IF THE ARMOR IS NON FUNCTIONAL as armor, i think most players would agreee its non functional as it is now, so its no big deal. give it 20% resists, who cares. no one will go into battle with it anyway.. ALSO I know JTL is coming out, is there any plans to release Better flight suits into the game? I saw in one of the photos a while back a rebel pilot flying a ship with a Rebel Commando Helmet on, THOSE ARENT EVEN IN THE GAME ANYMORE! what gives with that jeezus.
Like seriously think about the state of the game for a minute guys, This is a role playing game. This is a Star Wars game, BUT it majorly lacks in Role Playing content, outfits/clothing seems to me, it should be the most important thing at the moment. am i wrong here? i know there are problems with combat and etc, believe me, i know. But again what happened to the basic content for this game, role players. It doesnt exist. Battlefields have never worked, if you have more than 250 players in 1 section at once it causes a 2 minute lag on cmbat moves and spatial chat. again thats another whole issue.
How bout some simple clothes cmon! please fix the rebel helmet too or give it as a veteran's reward or something, throw role players a bone here, something, anything.. or you could just give me one for my loyal months of gameplay (tristain : ahazi server)

Just about once a month, we do a feature called, “19 answers”. Why 19? Well, we answer 19 questions on one week and 19 questions the second week. With each two-week cycle, we answer a topical question from each of the 38 correspondents. These represent current issues, interests and concerns of the community.
I think I had to edit what you typed TH because I felt it was appropriate, not to mention true.

Is it three weeks overdue or four? I'm starting to loose track. I guess "one more week" in TH time is three to four weeks in realtime.

Well these questions were posted on 6-10, its now 7-08, so that looks like almost 1 month. I really look forward to these answers on a weekly basis since they are the only real way to get a gauge on where this game is going on a normally weekly manner. The few devs posts and TC notes are not really enough. It would be great, TH, if you could push these beasties out every week.
