Thread: On Wookiee Armor

I have seen some shots from the new movie, not only did it appear to have armor but there were also new wookie weapons.
Pistol, rifle.. etc. Very cool.. I hope they add these to the game.

I could care less about armor....fix the crafter aprons for fuqs sake !!!!!!!!! Let us wookies wear them. I'm tired of being promised make it happen already.

WHAT WITH ALL THE HOOPLA ABOUT THE JEDI REVAMPS AND STUFF.WE HAVE NO WORD ON WHEN THE NEW WOOKIEE ARMOR WILL BE GOING LIVE.

I've been a Wookiee since Beta-3. My character is mainly a crafter (MA, MDE), but also has a decent PvE template as a secondary occupation.
The current Wookiee armor was a welcome addition to the game for us, but for PvP'ers, it's not enough. I appreciate the attention being paid to Wookiees as far as continuity... therefore I do *not* support Wookiees wearing composite armor. Our armor SHOULD be different than everyone else's. Wookiees have the most potential in this game for PvP, yet they are currently the worst at it. This needs to be addressed, *especially* a year after the game has been public.
I'm hoping Wookiee changes come with the combat rebalance (as that would make sense). These include:
• The ability to wear crafters' aprons and other such "bonus" items, as they are already available to every other race in the game.
• Fix Wookiees so they don't look angry when watching/listening to entertainers.
• Release the 2 remaining armor types that have been promised, and make them comparable to, and as customizable as the popular armors that are available to other races.

If this game is supposed to mirror the Star Wars universe as it is in the movies, Wookies should be feared in some way. They are supposed to be a creature which is larger and stronger than most.
In my oppinion, it is impossible for the game to mirror the movies as it is right now. But that's ok, it doesn't matter. The only thing is that it should be fun for everyone to play.
At the moment, it seems like the only way a wookie can have fun, is being a crafter. I would love to be able to stay at the DWB for more than 5 seconds...
It can't be that hard to make a change. Just balance it out however you want, to make the game fair for players of all races. New armour could be a way to do it, or just make wookies get a % bonus on each buff (instead of getting +2500, they get +3500 or something), so that their natural advantages are still there when buffed. That way the armour wouldn't need to be stronger.

Ok It was my understanding that wookiee armor 2 and 3 would be out with pub 9.1, Newsletter said so,,,, Today is Pub 9.1 where are the armors? the update list doesn't list them as being introduced.... ?

This better be good and it better be soon. I am sick and tierd of getting jacked up by people w/ 90% composite because i can't do damage to them. Thanks for the speedy responce to the players needs Devs, it's only been over a year wookies have been getting slaughtered on the PvP field, what's next? fixing broke profesions like pistolier and Squqd Leader? That woud probly be too much to ask that you fix all the things in the game that are brokebeforeadding usless crap like Holoemotes and droids thatspill foam on the floor. Just give us the freaking armor already and stop teaseing us w/ "Concepts". That's all i've hear'd for the last 6 months and what have you given us? 1/2a suit of funny looking Ubes. Gee thanks.
I don't care if the crap looks like a missing mesh, as long as wookies are allowed the same protection that everyone else in this game has, and we want it NOW!
