ashame it was decided who would be first for beta mailings by living either near enough or enough money to go to a fan fest Such is the way of how things work in this world anyway. Maybe next round for us lowley others.

Ok it is now my time to whineand complain about SOE.
The selection of beta testers sickens me. Yes I know in this world it is all about the money so whoever could afford to go to fanfest will get in. However what about all the veterans and all? I know this might have already been answered but they should be in beta way before fanfest people.
Of course why would this happen? We all know SOE does not care if their games work well or are good, they just want it to be good enough so people will waste their money on it. So instead of letting veterans who know what they are doing and are compitent when it comes to the game, they let any old person who walked into fan fest with money a seat to test the game.
Im sorry if I have wasted everyones time here and angered SOE, but this is ridicolous. People who have played this game the whole time and actually care about making it better and hope it will do so, get shoved aside to all the little conformers who think this game cannot get any better. I hope everyone has fun playing the game and in beta.
Compared to me you are not a Vet as far as I am concerned. Let's simply spell this out for you, a long time ago in galaxy far away....
The Developers announced that people attending FF would get first dibs at beta, then to be closely followed by previous beta testers and Veterans. This was announced A LONG TIME AGO. Now is not the time to complain, this is set in stone. That's that. If I were a company I would have done the EXACT same thing, because money means more R&D which means more, better games and in turn more money. You cannot, in a capitalistic society such as the United States be angry that this entity called SOE wants to make money. You just can't.
On the other hand you should be happy that these companies make as much as they do, if video games never took off and companies didn't capitalize as much as they do you would still be playing PONG and not SWG on your old Atari or Commodore 64.

Yeah, I was under the impression that veteran players would get early invites to the beta as well to reward us for sticking around since Day 1 (when the registration screens didn't even work and the servers went down every hour)...
I hope this is the case, because it sorta sucks to get penalized for living on the other side of the country...
