ashame it was decided who would be first for beta mailings by living either near enough or enough money to go to a fan fest <sighs> Such is the way of how things work in this world anyway. Maybe next round for us lowley others.

Whining about this will not change ANYTHING. These rules are set in stone, clogging this page with these sort of posts really isn't needed. Apply for beta like the rest of us and hope you get in. I didn't make it to Fan Fest, I didn't have money and I don't nearly live close enough by. Guess what? I'mutterly over it.

FYI- I beta test a lot of MMOs, beta testing may give youadverse impressions and kill a lot of the fun factor for you when the game actually releases.

Ok it is now my time to whineand complain about SOE.

The selection of beta testers sickens me. Yes I know in this world it is all about the money so whoever could afford to go to fanfest will get in. However what about all the veterans and all? I know this might have already been answered but they should be in beta way before fanfest people.

Of course why would this happen? We all know SOE does not care if their games work well or are good, they just want it to be good enough so people will waste their money on it. So instead of letting veterans who know what they are doing and are compitent when it comes to the game, they let any old person who walked into fan fest with money a seat to test the game.

Im sorry if I have wasted everyones time here and angered SOE, but this is ridicolous. People who have played this game the whole time and actually care about making it better and hope it will do so, get shoved aside to all the little conformers who think this game cannot get any better. I hope everyone has fun playing the game and in beta.

Compared to me you are not a Vet as far as I am concerned. Let's simply spell this out for you, a long time ago in galaxy far away....

The Developers announced that people attending FF would get first dibs at beta, then to be closely followed by previous beta testers and Veterans. This was announced A LONG TIME AGO. Now is not the time to complain, this is set in stone. That's that. If I were a company I would have done the EXACT same thing, because money means more R&D which means more, better games and in turn more money. You cannot, in a capitalistic society such as the United States be angry that this entity called SOE wants to make money. You just can't.

On the other hand you should be happy that these companies make as much as they do, if video games never took off and companies didn't capitalize as much as they do you would still be playing PONG and not SWG on your old Atari or Commodore 64.

Yeah, I was under the impression that veteran players would get early invites to the beta as well to reward us for sticking around since Day 1 (when the registration screens didn't even work and the servers went down every hour)...

I hope this is the case, because it sorta sucks to get penalized for living on the other side of the country...

Also fan festregistrants please be patientand do not email us until friday if you have not received your invite, we are having to manually send the invites to you so its going to take some time And for the rest of you fan fest attendees are only getting invites now but that does not mean that there will not be thousands of other testers admitted in the near future

Im sending mine right now cuz I havent recieved mine yet.

It should not take you more then 1 day to get this done. If it is delayed I wont be happy. There were a whole lot of people at Fan Fest but it cant be that hard. Its not like I really am DROOLING over beta testing. I just think I would be a good tester since I have been playing/paying into the RPG world for SoE for over 4 years. Whe the heck are these guys talking aboutVETZ. I was grinding on the monitor4 years agoon EQ and 8 years ago on Descent 1-2 and then 3. Manwassup with these morons crying about BETA. There is notthing fun about testing Games. ITS LIKE A JOB AND HAS to be DONE right.Wont be a whole lot of content either.

I am pushing this because Its just the fact of how things should be done. Accurate and correct. IF this isnt the case you will hear some moans from me for sure.
