Thread: Publish 8.1: Image Designer Issues

This isnt a bug so much as a request.
Remove the timer. With the addition of the new UI (having to click changes instead of using macroes) and the changes in the xp gain it just seems that the timer is totally not needed. I can see why there needs to be a timer for Stat Migration, but why timers for body modifications and color changes?
2) Driods go invisible (can still hear them beeping away) when inside the tent. Found this out as I'm a musician to and wanted my driod for some background music.
3) Palette size for the increased number of colours is too small. Its hard to tell some colours apart without selecting them.
4) Easy to lose track of all changes made. Revert, is nice but it reverts everything. Would be nice if there was a revert for each type of change, instead of just the global one.
5) The GUI disappears when we hit commit, even though the client hasn't accepted or refused. Frustrating if the client has gone AFK without us knowing.
6) Weight change bug on women not fixed, they still loose shape around the waist.
7) Twi'lek Lukku (sp?) does not change if they are wearing a head wrap.
8) The client has to modify their stats before entering the ID GUI for stat migration to work. If they do it while the GUI is active, when we select commit (after the 10mins) nothing happens.
9) Image of client is not changed in the GUI if they change cloths. This would be nice, if we are trying to actually ID for a look that goes with several of their clothing styles.
Bugs I ran into last night as a Master Image Designer
- I worked on seven Zabaks last night but one of them I "didn't have the skill to do this" that was for changing his hair color. I changed about six other parts of him got paid then was going to do holo emotes for him when the hair color option started working again.
- If I change someones hair to red it appears brown to me after I finish the job. The players see it fine though.
- The ID preview menu closed on me on two occations. Not sure why but the other player had to close theirs before I could try again to ID them. If someone went AFK after this happened I would not be able to do any ID work.
That is it so far. All the emotes work awesome. Once the servers are up and running this morning it is back at it for me.
Posted this in Runesabre's thread too:
Rotating your toon in the preview window, to see changes from all angles, gradually zooms the view outward. Eventually face view is at the same zoom level as the full view. Clicking onto full view then back to face doesn't change the zoom rate.
On the same note, the IDer may be able to use this bug to zoom out a bit (since they say that it's too close sometimes), but could never zoom back in if they needed.

I agree. As an ex-Master Image Designer, I can say it was too fast to level before, but 128+ hours non-stop with maximum efficency to master Image Designer now is approaching how long it takes to master Bounty Hunter. I'm sorry that is a little ridiculous. It was stated by Devs that mastering should be an achievement of worth (my paraphrasing), but it shouldn't be a nightmare. This is too far over the other way.
Padre
- As a Male Wookiee I had sliders for eye size and eye shape, although eye shape seemed to change angle. Haven't run into a female wookiee yet to see if there's any difference there.
- I did not have any CTDs yesterday, but did encounter 3 BSODs/full system crashes while sytlying and/or emoting. After the 3rd crash I updated my graphics drivers (Radeon 9000 v7.x -> v8.x) and I haven't seen the crash again. Great for me, but I had *never* blue screened off this game (or anything in 6 months+) running those drivers so something changed for the worse in the graphics code and I just may have bypassed it.
- Of the holo emotes at low particle effects levels initially the kitty didn't appear at all for me.
And a few non-bug/design issues:
- The 2 minute timer for holo emotes is kinda lame.
- Can you give someone multiple, but not all holo emotes in one session? If so I can't figure this out.
- The new color swatches are TEENY and too easy to lose your place when working on others.
- The wookiee color pallatte really needs more dark colors - or just to be shifted to the dark end. As it stands right now if the base color (either fur or marking, depending on pattern) is in the middle of the road there are only 5-10 options for a noticably darker spot color
Overall though, WONDERFUL job at pulling this together - what went live is a far cry from that first day on test, and it is much appreciated.
- Holo-emote pickers should be checkboxes, not radio buttons. Radio buttons would require a 2 minute session for each emote granted unless the client wants all of the emotes, which may not be the case.
It's always that way... the lekku wrap changes the style when you put it on... same with all twi'lek head gear... and armor helmets that they are able to wear.
