Thread: Entertainer Quest
LeBob, I am not ashamed to demand service. Service I pay for. This service was not present in DAoC or in UO. Thats why I'm here, that's why I'm paying money to SOE. If it isn't delivered here, I will join another game.
TH promised a lot of things. TH delivered very little. Not even a note saying he can't deliver. That's not a service worth the highest fee for an online game. I will stay and complain until either it gets better or I find another game I can try. For a community representative, TH has lost a lot of credibility as a direct result of his actions or absence of actions. Not good for a job build on communicating.
Do you have any idea how little I care how angry the combat classes may be ? If you are talking about Squad Leaders, I apologize. The rest can wait, every single one of them got more attention than us and none of them is going extinct due to rulings of this game unpreceded by any commercial product ( aka unattended gameplay ).
Thunderheartspost is totally unhelpful. It's vague enough to mean everything and nothing. It has no questions I could help with. I don't see a point in adding constructive critisism when I have done so since beta (!) and have been ignored.
I don't feel ashamed to demand the service I was promised. I would feel ashamed if I were a red name here. Not because the game is buggy. I am a coder, everything is buggy to some extend. But because communication is failing so completely that even failure is not an adequate word. If there is someone who's job it is to communicate, then this person is doing a bad job. I'm not saying it's his fault. I don't know enough about him or the circumstances to have any right to judge here. What I'm saying is that the service to the end user ( me ) is not what I expect from a company collecting a lot of money and hiring a guy as communicator.
I have made constructive efforts to improve this game. Not any dreamy concepts of revamping the game, but constructive, coding-wise easy fixes. I can only put so much energy into something if nothing is returned. And yes, I am well beyond the point where I have energy to spend for something without return.
Communication is a great deal about perception. And I percieve silence and broken promises as negative. My communication teacher once said "You cannot not communicate".
Well, it's quite obvious that the professions are meant to be social, and I'm sure you'll find that most entertainers who are into the profession for the long run are into it because of the social part.
I'm sure that the entertainers themselves will be the first to cheer when hologrinding ends.
