Another day of ZERO sales because of Vendor lag. I watched a customer who wanted to buy seeker droid really bad. He had just given up after 15 minutes at another players vendor and tried mine but gave up after 20 minutes because he cannot get the vendor to load. Neither could I

I've had problems with crafting lag recently (Sunrunner).
And I've always had problems with spawning and lag on the "advanced" planets. (Flurry)

JustG, it is apparent from anyone playing the game on adventure planets that they are in dire need of additional hardware (thus you saying that you're adding more is a good thing). This is however not a new problem. It might be new to Yavin 4 and Endor. but certainly not to Dathomir, which has suffered from this in the past. Now when I think about it, Endor also has suffered from this when everyone did the npc missions there.

You know that you have a performance problem on adventure planets (at least I hope so). Lok, since player cities at least, is bad. I can go 10km (5km round trip), seeing just a few spawns if even that. Dantooine is even worse since it has more desirable things to kill. However spawns are not the only thing suffering - crafting and using vendors is painfully slow. It often takes like 10-20 seconds to load one item on a vendor.

You have a problem which is constant on all adventure planets that now have player cities or where people generally go to kill. The ones you mentioned here do not have player cities and currently are not the most popular places for people to do missions for money and xp. They thus do not constantly suffer from this issue as Lok and Dantooine does (this is on Starsider btw).

I am glad that you're increasing the number of servers on Y4, Endor and Dath, but you really need to look at the server count on all adventure planets. Dantooine and Lok, my home planet, are suffering. I can't hardly craf there, and loading my vendor requires a lot of patience (on the other hand loading my vendor on Tatooine is nice and fast).

I have to second this as well. My home planet of Dantooine (on bloodfin) is excruciatingly slow. The whole planet is laggy and the have been numerous occasions where it has taken more than 3 minutes to initialize a vendor with no items on it. Please address these issues on Dantooine and Lok as there are people using them for home planets whereas Y4, Endor and Dathomir have no cities. I hunted on Endor all afternoon and I had no problems getting random mob spawns, but going shopping on Lok or Dantooine is downright painful.

Hey TickTock, which server?

I dont have that problem on my main...

Well, as you have the "testcenter" as your server, that's hardly a surprise, or are there like 200 people on the imp outpost alone on weekends?

Fact: Spawns on [Endor,Lok,Dantooine,Yavin4,Dathomir] are worse than ever, especially on weekends. Yesterday i drove for like 6000mtrs or so and i found 1 (one) lair, that was in 500 mtrs distance from the imp outpost (coming from southeast corner of dantooine).

BTW, my server is Loading....errr...i mean....Gorath (if i remember the name correctly, coz it says "loading" most of the time...)

Alot of it could be lag. I'f I am driving full speed across a planet I dont see much at all. If I stop for 60 seconds it is another story. Monsters load around me if I stand still.

Thunderheart: I am on the Tarquinas server, and I have a jedi.

So needless to say, I am on any one of the 4-5 given planets in this thread at all times - and out in the wild.

It's really bad when my jedi can lose his saber TEF because I can't find anything to kill.

I definitely have ridden across half of dantooine and not seen any spawn. Thats stopping every 200-300m for a few seconds to see what loads. Same for Endor and Dathomir. Past 1500m everything disappears.

I have had good luck with Yavin overall though, but the experience per creature makes it a tradeoff most trips.

I havent tried Lok much yet, but have friends there who tell me its not any different.

Please, let's see some more spawn out in the wilderness. It should be dangerous for people (non-Jedi) to travel on these planets, and at present it is not. You can speederbike 3000m on any planet and might have to dodge one random spawn the whole way.

On intrepid the player city I stay in is on dantooine. It's rare to find random spawns unless they're huurtons which aren't much to kill anyway. Awhile back when few adventured on planets like dantooine I remember going there and it was hard to walk 500m without being attacked (Even when carefully avoiding creatures). Now you can go from one side of the planet to the other and likely not be attacked.

This has been a problem for awhile. I used to adventure on lok all the time until it became a lifeless desert. This was before player cities even came out.

I was hunting kimo on Lok, doing a search pattern with a friend we covered the entire southern third of the planet. Found 2 kimo (one enraged that got away, how DO they run 1000 m in like 3 seconds?) and, i think there were 5, maybe 6 lairs of other animals that I saw. That's out of an entire third of Lok! I used to like it there but i haven't been back since.

Will Lok be looked at too or is it supposed to be ... sparsely inhabited?

On Kettemoor, the spawn rates on Dantooine feel a little light, Lok is barren beyond the ring of reds around Nym's and somewhat at the POIs. Endor is quite healthy in the number of random lairs and whatnot and Dathomir was writhing in Rancors during the last guildhunt we did.

It seems to me, that Lok and Dantooine have problem on all the servers with a high population (I'm playing on Bloodfin).

The current problem for Lok and Dantooine, is like what we had with Tatooine about 6 months ago where vendors were extremely slow and there was always a 5-10 second delay on everything you did (combat etc). Lok isn't as bad as Dantooine though. When the servers have gotten their daily reboot everything runs smooth on these two planets, but when the US players come online at primetime, things go really mad! It's almost impossible to do anything on these two planets.

Also something I noticed what might add to this lagare all the vehicles standing around at the outposts on Dantooine. I was there last night at one of the Pirate outposts (the southern one), and there was like 20 vehicles just standing around and humming.. My suggestion to fix this, would be everytime a player takes a shuttle if it be off-planet or not, force an autostore on all his pets/vehicles to prevent this crazy buildup of vehicles at the outposts. People simply forget to store their pets and vehicles, and it makes the rest of the players lag horrible at times.

Currently Lok and Dantooine on Bloodfin is a nightmare! The sub-servers for these planetsare choked down most of the day, and I really hope something can be done about this soon...

UMMM thats a problem on most servers if you are on a bike... cuase the bikes move faster than the npcs can render...

as for eveyrone else who wants more server for dantooine - I would like nod my head in agreement.

just so you know TH and whoever else reads this... dantooine has been laggier than coronet ever since you guys gave everyone a reason to go running to dantooine - holocrons. dantoine gets worse and worse every single day since the initial holocron craze in november... or whenever it was. SOE was responsible for this, and they have failed in backing up the game play changes with more hardware to support the increased demand on the planet.
