Thread: Forum Troubles
It's Lithium, not Mozilla. I've tested with:
Mozilla 1.0 (Linux)
Mozilla 1.5 (QNX)
Mozilla 1.5 (Windows)
Mozilla 1.6 (Windows)
Mozilla 0.8 FireFox (Windows)
Konqueror 3.1.0 (Linux)
Internet Explorer 6 (Windows)
None of them worked. IE didn't display threads, the others the reply and new thread buttons didn't work.
I traced down the JavaScript error as well to line 632 of http://swg.i.lithium.com/swg/html/swg_js.js...
row += "<td class=cell_"+alt2+"><a href=/"+comm_id+"/board/message?board.id="+boardId+"&message.id="+message_id+" class="+marked+" target=_blank><img src=/i/global/moved.gif width=25 height=13 border=0 alt=''> $text.get("page.list.board.subject.moved") "+message_subject+"</a> ";
The marked area there is where the error is coming from. To my eye, that looks like a bit of perl code from the Lithium back-end that didn't get properly parsed due to improper quoting.
I use Windows XP, and now that I've switched to IE they're working fine.WhenI usethe latest edition of Mozilla Firebird, I can see the forums just fine, but can't click any of the buttons. I can get into threads okay, but can't reply, get to my PM inbox, or anything else.
Just wanted to let you know that some folks having problems may not be able to reply because their browsers won't let them.
I'm so used to the handy tabs in Firebird that using IE seems really hard and inconvenient! ![]()
row += "<td class=cell_"+alt2+"><a href=/"+comm_id+"/board/message?board.id="+boardId+"&message.id="+message_id+" class="+marked+" target=_blank><img src=/i/global/moved.gif width=25 height=13 border=0 alt=''> $text.get("page.list.board.subject.moved") "+message_subject+"</a> ";
Have they rebooted the forum server yet? I remember it went nuts with script errors once before.

Greetings,
Just wanted to let you all know that we are aware that some of you are having troubles seeing threads/posts or posting yourself if you are using Mozilla, or Windows XP. I also understand that some of you may be having this issue and you do not have either of those products. This is something Lithium is looking into and we apologize for any inconvenience this causes you.
If you are having this problem and you would like to share information on the internet brower that you use, or information regarding your computer to further help Lithium please post it here.
Thanks!
Thanks for staying on top of this, Jeassa.
Jeassa, when I'm at work (win2kpro, IE 6) I seem to get script errors which prevent me from posting all the time. Usually within a half hour they're fixed. At home I never have a problem posting.

The script errors can be manuvered around by deleting all the cookies and temporary internet files.
Windows users can open the Internet Explorer and goto Tools -> Internet Options and click "Delete Cookies" and "Delete Files"
You can also access the Internet Options via the Control Panel.
This works for me everytime
I am using WinXP Pro, btw if that helps.
IE 6.0.2800.1106
All forums except Devtracker shows up empty to me.
Can't click buttons in the preferences-menu.
I can see the threads in Opera on the same computer, but can't click any buttons.
