...Please give us back the 14 skill points used to complete the mind wound healing tree to earn Master Dancer and/or Master Musician.
My character is also a combat character and I would like to use those skill points, which will otherwise be wasted, to respec when the CU goes live.
Thank you.

This is the kind of post that needs to be made in the Dev threads. Eshie already had a poll in here on SP. Ever other prof is out in the conversion threads asking for changes based on what the CU is doing to them, we should be too.

/agree....I just don't want anyone to think we're 'only' concerned with 'ooh, parties!' or 'wow, I've got a new outfit!' or 'what a neat new video!'
I LOVE ALL THOSE THINGS...
But I am also sick of us getting BORKED.

I agree that we should get pts back...and more. It takes 15pts just to take up a novice profession. If what weee little buff we can do is left as it is, I suggest removing all pts. Let every player be able to take it up..even if just for a party. I think in long run it will promote roleplay more. Lets face it nobody gets rich just dancng but we dance for the roleplay. The afkers just for easy sit back credits while they work , sleep and play their main char. Drop each entertainer profession to 0 points and let everyone have fun since even novice dancer can do the tiny buff. I am hoping for this as atleast a positive hand towards us that plain old just love to dance and talk to people.

Guys, they are still actively making changes due to feedback in the Conversion Testing threads. If you do not like our Skill Point cost post CU from what we are seeing on the test servers, you need to be posting about it in a Dev thread.
There is a good chance they will tweak Ent SP buy in before this hits live if enough people ask for it.

since inspiration buffs work based on wound healing ability I guess we won't be getting those skill points back..
now, the mind enhancement tree on the other hand...

The only problem with giving up Skill points is that we would then likely never get a replacement for what was lost...

Here is the simple fact.. As soon as this patch goes live every single skill point spent above the 15 needed for novice entertainer are completely wasted.
Maximum mission payout is possible with novice entertainer.
Maximum inspiration durration and effect are possible with novice entertainer.
The only benefits to taking more skill are;
Shorter healing times. (Not really an important since Battle Fatigue is not being applied to combat characters at any kind of advanced time rate that affects their gameplay.)
Shorter buff application time. (These buffs are not important enough for most players to be in a hurry to get them.)
More dances, songs and more visual effects. (Those of us who take these visuals and songs do so for RP/intangible reasons. The 0 skill point cost skills of Pilot and Politician have a far greater impact on the game world and economy.)
The only benefits to taking more skill are;

The devs are well aware of the issues we have as a direct result of the CU and I am sure WILL be as promptly as possible rectifying them. However just one glance at the state the CU is in, plus the fact they are developing RoTW means in the short term we need to be patient. Make the groups and lack of high level specialist money making skills our top priorities and I beleive the dev's will sort them in a reasonably prompt manner once the CU is sorted. Sadly we DO need to be patient however (and before anyone moans may I point out in the last 6 months we've had at least as much as attention as any other proffession, someones just made a serious design cockup in the CU and as a result we've got new issues).
