The problem with just using changedance and going from Exotic 4to Breakdance 2 is that there is no smooth transition. Kinda like a film break.The same problem exists for changes dances in the middle of a flourish.

Practice, practice, practice hitting the F key and Enter key so you can time the change perfectly? Or you can use a changedance macro to make it much easier.

The formatfor changedanceis:

"/changedance" a space, then the dance name.

So popular2 would be:

"/changedance popular2"

Just making up a macro off the top of my head for an example (don't know howgood this would actually look);

/changedance breakdance2;
/bandflourish off;
/pause 3;
/flourish 3;
/pause 1.33;
/changedance tumble2;
/pause 2.25;
/changedance breakdance2;
/bandflourish on;

  1. I start by setting up the first dance. I am usuallyalready dancing the same dance but it does gives me the option to use it whenever I want or, more often than not, keep the custom flourish looking good when I hit the wrong F key.

  2. I turn bandflos off because, dancing in groups, I have had other members hit a bandflo right before and I wind up wondering what went wrong.

  3. The pause after is to let any current flos end.

  4. Then I start my flourish in my first dance.

  5. The next pause is adjusted, and tweaked until I am happy with the transition to:

  6. The second dance.

  7. This pause is also adjusted until I am happy with the transition back to

  8. The next dance. This could be back to the first dance to create a new flourish or to a new dance to create a transition between dances.

For my macros, I go ahead and spell it out all the way just in case something is changed or added later. If I didn't, I *know* Sony would add something like "/changedamage".

You can also fine tune "/pause" they don't have to be exactly 1,2,3,... seconds.

Okay, now you're asking: "Wow, How many dances? Howmany slotsin my toolbar? Even if I only did 1/10th of the combos, I'd run out of space on my toolbar just for dance transitions. Not going to happen."

Your answer, useAlias. Alias allows you to create your own commands. For example, lets say you are fond of emoting something and using the /tellpet command to store your pet rather than just a "store" in spatial.

":gestures to the durni and you see it scamper off; /tellpet store;"

You can use the alias command to set up your own little command.

The format is:

"/alias" a space, the command you want to use (without the slash), a space, whatever you want to do.

You cando multiple things and string together stuff by seperating with a semi-colen (

For example:

"/alias storedurni :gestures to the durni and you see it scamper off; /tellpet store;"

The problem with an alias, the only way to edit it is by deleating it with unalias. "/unalias storedurni" will delete the alias created above and "/alias" alone will list what you have.

The solution is to create the transition macros and then setting aliases to use them. For instance if you create a transition macro for Exotic4 to Popular2 and call it "exotic4topopular2". you can do 2 things.

Type "/macro exotic4topopular2" in spatial every time you want to use it or:

Tyoe /alias exotic4topopular2 /macro exotic4topopular2;"so you can just use "/exotic4topopular2" from then on.
