I'm still not sure about it, but now that i've played a few hours in my home environment, with friends and those that I used to buff, I'ts not so bad. I am sad however that i cant wear any of my fashion armor or my RIS Leggings. Sooo i was thinking, why cant those who are purely "non combat", who are masters of entertainer, musician, dancer and ID professions, be certified in all armor and weapons? we have no skill points to put into anything else, so its not like we can actually use the equipment for anything but to enhance our performance.

I overslept today, so wasn't really able to test all the changes. The new icons will take me a bit to get used to, but it's not really a big deal. What kinda worms me is that entertainer groups will be limited to 8 people for now, kills big party flourishes for the time being. While I do think the combat upgrade is good for the combat side of the game I can't help but feel as if the entertainers once again got the shaft.

I don't thinkthe CU is as bad as people try to make it, but it's not exactly improving things for the entertaining people in my opinion - nor is it meant to do.

I really think the dancers and non-combat folks in general will get what is due to them sooner or later...really i think it will happen. Dont give up hope. Once this CU thing is out of the way things will settle down and it will be enjoyable again.

Sorry for all that getting killed as soon as you walk out the door but ....im for hire as soon as i figure out how to shoot again

I guess I got what was coming to me...I came up as a level 30 person, and I can't use most of my pistols. my FWG5, my DX2, my Republic Blaster...I didn't even check my Geo Blaster, I logged out because I was crying.

This was not fun.

In all honesty I really don't know what to think atm

Up until yesterday I was in pretty positive mood about it all, in the back of my mind holding out hope against all the negative talk.

But after about 4 hours total yesterday I do have to admit I am more then sad about the whole mess.

I still believe CU is a good thing for combat itself, but the way it's implemented is basically reducing us to a level of a second grade citizens.

Ok, so I log on and after 15 min of trying to do something to my toolbar to make it little less angry looking I noticed that I am whole awesome level 1!!!

So I'm thinking ...ok,it's little scaryand sad.. but makes sense in a way... after all I have no combat anymore.

But I'm hopping the game designers took into account the fact that some people may wish to play the game at level 1.

Wrong!!!

There is no bloody way I can, not without basically moving in to the cloner to save on the loading time.

Being an organized person, I figured I may start with driving over to the house I use for storage to unload my inventory of mind buff related items, so they are safely stored for time they may be needed again.

I wasn't able to do it but I did get to say hellomy new best friends over in cloner twice while trying to....

I guess I better hope I never ever need anything I have stored in that house.

Bloody lovely!

As for the guild city (it's still small with no shuttle) I guess I better hope I never have reason to go there also.

So ok, I'm a full template entertainer, may as well do what I like to do. I landed in Bestine and actually made it to the local cantina unmolested. Surprise, surprise.

There were plenty of customers (if you can call them that) in and out all day. Out of all of those maybe only 3 actually responded to my hellos, many "took" the new buff, not a single one bother to at least say thank you much less tip for it.

So I'm thinking, well the girl has to eat, I getter do some entertainers mission while I'm here.

The ent terminal in Bestine is right across the cantina, sweet

Not!!

First time I was going over the missions to find 2 for the cantina I died, second time I was rescued by someone who happened to walk by. After listening to me thank him for his kindness he gave me a lecture about needing to seriously consider leveling up a bit. I informed him I had no points leftto level with. He did the /rofl emote and wished me luck saying I will sure need lots of it.

My friend musician logs in, woot!, but after he summoned his playback droid I didn't know if to laugh or cry, because that thing was uber compared to me. Not 100% sure but I think the droid was level 14,I guess I better be nice to it from now on or it may eat me.

Ok, I know I'm being very negative here.

I'm not happy at all

I love this game, even thru the zombies epidemic, the grifing Bots... I still loved the game but I really don't know how I can handle being a virtual prisoner of cantina, knowing I better allow for several cloner trips everytime I'm trying to go somewhere.

And please, no one bettertell meto buy personal shields ortry to hirebodyguards bs, because in order to buy and/or hire one has to actually have income.

I just hope I feel better about this whole mess soon...

Sorry for the negative post but atm it's how I feel

Well I dropped all my combat and took myself to level 1. I may regret it later but after trying combat with master TK on Elwyn and level 38 novice rifle, novice CH on Ellwyn all I can say is I don't want to do combat in any form. In my opinion other than the group size the only profession still working is entertainer.

How sensible is it that I'm grouped with a level 60 and fight a level 50 voritor to have it do 60 damage and give me 1 experience point, then ungroup and have it do 570 damage and incap me for zero experience points? What magically changes the power of a creature just because I'm grouped with someone? I go out with Imaji's alt who is a little lower level than me and we can't find anything on our home planet of naboo to get more than 1 point of experience from. We go to dantooine and bols are about all the two of us can handle although I still get incapped enough to clone two times in a 20 minute period. Later last night I go with some friends in a 3 people, 3 pet group and take on bols, grauls, and pikets. This one goes fine I get great experience for both rifle and CH but its also boring because I spend all my time trying to react fast enough to get a hit in before the 2 level 80's and their pets drop the creatures. So now combat is either overly dangerous or as boring as it always was, no real in between. When you do take a challenging mission you are so focused on the button bar you can't enjoy the encounter. I didn't like the uber state we were in but this level based non-sense is just that non-sense with no way to tie the actions to logic. It is so immersion breaking it is ruining a big part of the game for me.

Yeah Elwyn will have problems, he has some really low faction ratings with various shady characters, but over all we entertainers are the only enjoyable profession at the moment. I know I got several good bye messages yesterday so it doesn't look good for SOE. I'm seriously thinking of dropping my alt because the combat is so bad.

Deli'ah,

I am so sorry sweetie. Entertainers really got screwed hard on this one. I am not happy with how they were treated at all. They have had their income ripped from them, the lives if they try to leave a city, and their dignity. It is a sad sad time for entertainers.

/hugs
