Well, unless something fairly major got changed between tc chim and now, in order to test the combat half of my toon I'll need to drop either part of my artisan or dancer tree.

Does anyone know what happens if you are capped for xp, drop a tree and then retrain? Do I lose all my xp above the cap I drop down to, all the xp after I train my first box, all the xp if I gain some more or is my banked xp safe?

It's a big issue for me, since I'll probably want to drop dance techniques for testing (gotta love 900k xp banked) but if I'm in danger of losing all that then it becomes less tempting (I don't want to lose Master Dancer, but that's the only place I have enough xp built up to rebuy the entire tree).

Respecing sucks for hybrids, I shouldn't have to spend masses of xp just to _test_ my new template.

PS. Has anyone else had problems posting stuff using firefox? I had to switch back into IE just to post this.

You can drop boxes withindancer and still perform without losing banked xp as long as you don't drop both related branches. I've dropped to 0044 a couple of times and then retrained using my banked xp (heh..someone kept convincing me I ought to be a jedi /glare kobie). Capped xp for both dance and healing is more than enough to retrain one branch of each.
