From my pov this is far and away our biggest issue, AFKing is IMO low on the list due to the fact that buffbots are no more (but has been mentioned twice since I added an update to the list).

Other than the instruments thing, I *like* the smaller groups. You aren't forced to keep afkers or other annoyances in the group to get the maximum xp. People in the group I was in last night were definately more chatty, and we tended to talk more with our customers.

I think the smaller groups will encourage more groups to start. People won't wait around for hours to get into the big entertainer group, they'll start another group.

The problem with the small groups as I see it, being a master dancer who doesn't need xp, is that it severely limits performance. Large groups of dancers and musicians cannot perform together. This is an issue especially where Cantina Crawls, Starport Jams and other such events are concerned. Javy was seriously considering cancelling future Crawls until/unless this limit is removed for noncom groups, but fortunately, we managed to talk him out of it for the time being. We will just have to wait and see how it affects the next one . . . .

I'd like to see two forms of groups. First, an 'experience group' of some sort, in which you join the group through the house/cantina. When you enter a cantina / theater / hotel, you automatically begin to receive healing xp from BF and Inspirations while entertaining, even if you're not the particular entertainer being watched. Secondarily, a 'performance group' would involve the musicians and dancers physically grouped together and have the ability to perform bandflourishes. This way, musicians could form low-level or high-level groups, dancers could divide up into their little cliques and bandflo amongst themselves without ruining the performances of others, etc.

Kyree, I'm not sure where you xp..but on Kett in Theed, we have the greatest bunch we skill reg with. I miss the days of all of us being able to group together. Or the spur of the moment shows at sp. Someone said lag was cause of the 8 group? hmm not seeing how grouping causes lag. I'm sure there is a very good reason for this, I'm just not seeing it. I'd have to say the afk people on Kett aren't that big an issues as some of the other servers I've been on. I walked in those cantinas and thought how lucky Kett is we dont' have the issues other servers do with 20 bots in every cantina.

XP is hard to get now..the healing part, so if you have 3 groups of 8, 2 of the groups aren't getin what little healing xp there is. I've been dancing since CU came up on Kett and have only gotten 61k in healing xp. I'm not saying we should be able to get it as fast as we once did, because we lost mind wounds, but for 2 days of dancing 61k is a bit unreasonable.

I have to say this has to be my biggest issue with CU, ok..we got Harry Potter/saturday morning cartoon graphics, and ugly busy icons. But ya know..you learn to live with the blinding effects of gettin on your bike or being healed by a CM. But the 8 to a group thing is killing entertainers faster than anything else.

Yes its hard. We performed outside theed cantina the first night and also near the starport in theed. We constantly had to reform groups as people came and went. We really wanted everyone in a single group but at times there would be too many and we would have to separate by dancer/musician. The groups are the size they are because it is becoming the standard for MMO's not because of lag. Others have groups of 5 to 8. What they have that we don't have yet is "raid groups" where multiple groups can join together. These raid groups get different experience from standard groups and we don't have raid content so I don't expect it till we see another release pack.

I can't really speak to the xp part of the groups all that much, I haven't needed any for quite a while. Mostly I join the group to help other people get xp, and chat. If someone needs xp, I leave the group and let them have my spot.

I travelled around the various public cantina on Starsider and found that dance floors were much less crowded, there was no 'tip me/heal me' spam in any of the ones I visited. I made more tips in all the cantinas I visited since the CU than in the month before it (New alt, make one tip before the CU.)

I'm hoping that once they get a feel for how lousy the xp is for new entertainers, they'll tweak it a bit and make it more fair. The graphics don't really bother me much, but the icons are pretty ugly.

They are still fixing things...I mean, ALL my waypoints were gone.

Dancing XP isn't too bad in my opinion. It sure isn't what it used to be, but it's also not like we're not getting any anymore. However, the healing XP is also bothering me to some extent. Mastering any Entertainer profession will be incredible painful now. Yesterday afternoon I spent about 5 hours in the Cantina having a good time and fooling around.. 5k Ent Healing XP. I'm not kidding you. There were two of three groups of Entertainers there of course which didn't help. On a positive note I made a ton of xp later on the same day when only5 of us were entertaining. The Devs promised to look into the size of ent groups I've been told.. and they have to.

This isn't only about XP but also about social events or bands who wish to play together. The Cantina Crawls come to mind.
