I mean, I grouched about losing the mind buff--I was pretty good at it! But I swear it seemed like I couldn't get a mind buff for myself for love or money!
The inspiration buff--I COULD BUFF MYSELF! That in itself was awesome!
But now, once again...I'm the dancer in the group and I'm screwed? Great, thanks so much. I could really use the extra xp to master pilot.
And do NOT tell me RL musicians and dancers 'don't inspire themselves/are not inspired'. You can tell when they're not into it. It doesn't inspire YOU. Their soul isn't in it. It's lackluster and flat and 2-dimensional. They're like RL bots. They're going through the motions. It's like everybody else who loses their spark. It's why people QUIT things. "I just didnt' feel it anymore."
Dammit, why do I bother? Nobody listens.
I hear Squad leader's getting some love.

I can sort of understand the quandry of the devs here. In the days of the old inspiration, when you buffed yourself you were only buffing your current "job". Now, if you buff yourself you're actually buffing some "job" that's NOT an entertainer job.
If they're going to insiste on keeping the passive buff around, I wonder if they'd be able to let us apply that one to ourselves and still require a second entertainer for the elite buffs?

As a hybrid, my main professions are MID and part of dancer, with Teras Kasi thrown on to faciliatate socializing. So I used to go hunting with my real-life boyfriend, buff both of us since I was the entertainer, and continue hunting. Now, in order for me to get the passive experience buff I can give to him, I have to go to a non-player city cantina to find a fellow entertainer to give me that buff, find a second entertainer to come with us, or forego the experince buff. Taking away self-buffing hurts hybrids. I know they were trying to get rid of "dabblers" who would take enough skills for the general passive buff, but it does much more harm than good. It wasn't really taking that much business away before, was it? I didn't notice it if it was.
