Thread: Question from a tailor...

I have an alt tailor that makes bio clothes and I was wondering do the dancer/musician mods work any more? I have a ton of mods from pre CU and have no idea if they would even work.

Theoretically, the old mods should have converted over to the new system in the last patch.

Yes but I know for a while that the Dancer/Musician mods were simply not needed... what I am asking is after this last patch are they needed again??

I've got a ton of these, too, and no one is using them. I guess everyone's just gone so long without it, that it doesn't really matter. Plus, no one really think it's worth the price that the garments cost. I know, not a great answer, but I think it's too early to tell at this point.

I have never seen what good these modifiers do. It's not like the amount of the buff is variable -- only the duration of it. And a master level buff lasts so long I can't see why anyone would bother trying to increase it. Certainly not for any substantial cost.

Bingo.

As I tried to explain to a BE/tailor friend of mine who kept trying to get me to buy mind/bf healing enhancer clothes for some insanely high amount of money... Dancers do not benefit from these clothes. The people we healed did (or now, the people we buff do). But we do not. We gain absolutely nothing by being able to apply a slightly longer buff... and unless it's gonna add something like an hour to the duration, I don't really see the point of them.

Speaking as a BE and tailor, since they never did anything for us directly, I never saw the sense in charging dancers for them, preferring to use them in making clothing to give to entertainers new to the game whom I found ATK in Mos Eisley. We had a pretty sweet setup; Pappi would collect the eggs (she actually likes doing this) and I would make the tissue and cloth. Then I'd sit in Mos Eis one or two nights a week making whatever fancy dress or wild headwear the new entertainers'hearts desired..all the while making it clear that good things come to those who are ATK.

just an update for you guys... BE tissues for ents did not convert.

tonight I've tried crafting with old cloths (they were converted to BF healing after CU), as well as making a fresh new tissue -> cloth -> clothing. both mods are still BF healing.

p.s.: since when did I enjoy collecting eggs?

p.p.s.: ok, just did testing on exquisite dancer's leotard. "dancing enhancement" is listed twice for +5 each, and BF healing is still on there... so the enhancement part converted, but I have no clue how this is going to affect the mod.

Yea the eggs was the worst part... there was a great spawn on Gorath shortly before the CU hit and all my guildies collected eggs and made a full run for me... so now I am stuck with all these tissues that I just can't delete... you know just in case hehe.

As a test I tried a buff both with BF healing clothes and without, exactly the same duration, so now I just wear them cause they look cool

I pulled out my old costume with +dancing enhancement and it didn't appear to do anything for my dancer inspirations. It also has +25 music enhancement and it added about 30+ minutes to the duration of my musician inspiration (I'm 0024 in music) so its really only for those who aren't masters I guess.

And yeah the BE stuff still appears to be BF healing. I had a BE tell me she tried to make me something and was angry at the waste of eggs

No, in theory and in actual practice they did not convert and no steps were taken by the devs to convert the tissues from Battle Fatigue Healing to Enhancement. The last change for Myoflexwas from Music/Dance Wound Healing to Battle Fatigue Healing.

Clothing made with Music/Dance Wound Healing tissues did convert to Enhancement as did Music/Dance Wound Healing CAs.
