?

I am currently a master doc / master musician and would like to start work on dancer but all my skill points are tied up and I want to keep doctor. I currently have 120k entertainment healing xp but if I drop all of musician to go for dancer will, with the xp caps, I lose the 120k xp when I train with my 25k entertainment xp for lvl 1 dancer?

P.S. Did that make sense?

drop your wound healing speed on doc and get your dancer, then drop musician to get doc back ..i know u don't want to but i just grinded CM in about 2hrs(not including the crafting xp)just by buffing ppl for 6k per buff..2300+ 3h15min (all my buffs were meduse 90 and 850 power using clothing and bivoli)

point is 7k med xp per set of buffs... hardest part was getting ppl in line for only 6k recieved tells from 2 other docs saying that customerswere scared of my price ...hehe..lower price = lower buffs ...even tho i was spamming my stats every 30sec....

dont drop all of musician... go to 0/0/0/4, then get Novice
Dancer and you should be able to use up all the excess entertainer
healing xp in Dancer Healing, and then you can drop the rest of musician.

Better yet... just drop the skills needed for the skills earned, and
you may be even able to musician buff a while (even if only with 75%)

That's good advice.

You can hold XP over your max if you don't do anything to gain XP. For example, I had something like 200k Ent Heal XP with maxed out Fatigue and Wound Healing. I dropped both of those skills to 0. I still had my surplus Ent Heal XP. As soon as someone injured watched me dance, BOOM, I lost a lot of Ent Heal XP. It capped at 75k. This was probably 4 to 6 months ago, so I can't guarantee that this holds true still.

But I think that if you learn Novice Dancer and immediately cash in your Ent Heal XP, you will be fine. Assuming nothing has changed since I learned my lesson. To be safe, follow GerRob's advice. Keep one Musician Ent Heal line maxed, so your cap is much higher. Once you spent those XP, you can drop that line.

Love Star Wars, but the few role-players I could find on the servers were outnumbered by powergamers who wanted only l337 l00t and mad skillz. I can't justify paying $15 a month to play a game by myself.
Still cares enough to interject an opinion, though.

As I understand it, once you drop a prof, you will lose all your extra xp points - they are not transferable. (I do wish we had some way of actuallyutilizing those bonus xp points somehow once we master a prof.)

My suggestion: only drop the skills as you need to. Don't get rid of a skill until you need the skill points from it. That way, you continue to benefit from it for as long as you can. I dropped 4 boxes of scout when I went for TKN way too soon and heartly wish I had kept them for harvesting resouces.
