Thread: Will my entertainment healing transfer?
Dancer and you should be able to use up all the excess entertainer
healing xp in Dancer Healing, and then you can drop the rest of musician.
Better yet... just drop the skills needed for the skills earned, and
you may be even able to musician buff a while (even if only with 75%)

That's good advice.
You can hold XP over your max if you don't do anything to gain XP. For example, I had something like 200k Ent Heal XP with maxed out Fatigue and Wound Healing. I dropped both of those skills to 0. I still had my surplus Ent Heal XP. As soon as someone injured watched me dance, BOOM, I lost a lot of Ent Heal XP. It capped at 75k. This was probably 4 to 6 months ago, so I can't guarantee that this holds true still.
But I think that if you learn Novice Dancer and immediately cash in your Ent Heal XP, you will be fine. Assuming nothing has changed since I learned my lesson. To be safe, follow GerRob's advice. Keep one Musician Ent Heal line maxed, so your cap is much higher. Once you spent those XP, you can drop that line.
As I understand it, once you drop a prof, you will lose all your extra xp points - they are not transferable. (I do wish we had some way of actuallyutilizing those bonus xp points somehow once we master a prof.)
My suggestion: only drop the skills as you need to. Don't get rid of a skill until you need the skill points from it. That way, you continue to benefit from it for as long as you can. I dropped 4 boxes of scout when I went for TKN way too soon and heartly wish I had kept them for harvesting resouces.
